I'm going to leave a very quick and thorough review. Food tastes great, no complaints on the flavor. I did read a few Google reviews on this location on how small portion they are with the meat. I do have to say that the amount of chicken I received in my order was outrageously small. I received far below even the standard amount of chicken establishments serve to customers and it was sliced so thinly I instantly became upset. Carb heavy but protein was extremely lacking. Do not recommend ordering from this location unless you're standing there. This was extremely unfair especially given the price you pay when ordering on Uber Eats. read more

I was visiting someone in the hospital and decided to bring her and her mother some dinner and Dig Inn came to my mind based on a previous Yelp event. They both enjoyed their food. This was their first time having food from Dig Inn and they were pleased. I purchased two bowls, one bowl consisted of salmon, double brussel sprouts and sweet potatoes and the second bowl had salmon, sweet potato, and mac n cheese. Dig Inn previously offered two sides with an entree but now offers three sides with an entree. Mac n cheese is an additional charge. Service was great. I had to wait for the salmon to cook and was given an estimate of when it would be ready. My orders were prepared quickly and I was on my way. It smells amazing when you enter Dig Inn. I've been a fan of Dig Inn for a while, because I like their fresh ingredients, changing seasonal menu, and extensive ingredient and allergen information that is always updated when the new menu comes out. They're a reliable and dependable option, and I don't think I've ever had a bad plate of food there (although sometimes the food is a little salty for my personal preference). This location at City Point (entrance outside, not in the food hall) is a nice place to dine in, and the staff is friendly. While their standard menu of composed bowls is good, they have options to build your own, and I often also get the special seasonal plates. The current menu has a backyard BBQ chicken plate with pickle slaw and street corn that is delicious. The spring menu had a romesco chicken plate I liked even more, so I hope that comes back sometime. I usually order on the app so I can take my time deciding what to get, and it's worked well here. The app also lets you choose 2 side sauces with the plate, and I add their garlic aioli to everything. Nice alternative to the food hall when over at City Point. read more

I've never eaten at a DIG and came in because I was mailed a $10 off coupon that was expiring at this relatively new store in Downtown Brooklyn, as part of the city point shopping complex (with the Trader Joe's and target. Albeit the opposite side). Food is OK for what it is (feels clean and healthy-ish). Staff is friendly and informative. Gd attitudes. Atmosphere is clean, bright and organized. Food seems fresh. Obviously the big negative is price, expensive for what it is ($12-15 for a bowl). Portion size is fair. I built my own "healthy bowl": spiced farro, sides were brussels sprouts and sweet potatoes and protein was the tofu and its spiced glaze sauce. Separately I got the peso and garlic sauces (which I'm saving). Total cost of $12.50. All was very tasty (Wish I got more tofu). Sauce was a little too sweet for me. It's fall! I ordered the faro bowl with brussel sprouts, sweet potato and tofu. Delicious! It's thanksgiving in a bowl, they even topped it with a cranberry type dressing. I'm so grateful they welcomed us elites, and I'll definitely come back with a friend now that I know there's a nicer alternative to the market hall. I wouldn't come here every day; they really use a lot of oil to make everything crunchy and yummy, and it's not a great idea to eat super charred food (even though it tastes so good!). I like that the bowl is compostable; I wish the lid wasn't plastic. Lots of room to sit and eat here, I wish they at least had a bench outside but I can understand why they wouldn't. Dig serves hearty American food that's healthy and delicious. I ordered the spicy lime leaf salmon with farro as the based drizzled with the apple cider vinaigrette sauce. 9 out of 10. The farro has a nice spice to it and it was just the right texture. The salmon was slightly crispy and tender on the inside and the vinaigrette on top gave it so much flavor. The avocado was partially brown. The cabbage was fresh and was seasoned with lime juice and the broccoli was a bit hard. I also brought the jasper hill Mac n cheese for $5 and the sweet potato brownie for $4. Gotta show some love. It was very good. The mac n cheese was very creamy and the bread crumbs on top was delightful. The brownie was delicious and not too sweet. Portion size is descent. I did ate everything in one sitting. Service was okay. It did take a long time for them to acknowledge me as they were very busy preparing the food. They were very busy. Even though they only had one other customer, it took them almost 5 minutes to greet me. The space is clean and they have water in the back and they are spacious. For base, I ordered the spiced farro, with roasted sweet potatoes and Avocado. Protein I ordered the charred chicken with a little of hot honey sauce on it. Everything was very tasty & delicious. The chicken was not overcooked and it's very moist. I like how the sweet potatoes has the char on it. It give a good flavor. Ughhh this place was awful. After having quality greens last week which was pretty delicious- I had high expectations for Dig because I know their city locations have yummy bowls. My salmon was overcooked, dry, AND too salty. Look at that sad skin, overcooked but the skin isn't even crispy. My Brussels sprouts were a sad mush. Cannelini beans were OK. Half a small avocado for $3 extra charge. For $20 this bowl does not deliver the yum. Sauces unmemorable and were too thick and didn't work with the food cuz it was like having hummus on top of already dry foods, I'm just so disappointed by this. Will never be ordering again. My husband and I have wished and wished for a long time for a Dig to open in this part of Brooklyn Behold! Our dreams came true. This is a really nice space right by Target and Trader Joe's and imo is by far the tastiest and most reasonably priced lunch compared to what you can get in Dekalb Market next door. I really enjoy their chicken breast bowls with seasonal sides. Right now I'm digging the broccoli and sweet potato with an added avocado. It keeps me feeling energized and healthy throughout the day. I would never eat at this location ever again! The food was bad as in undercooked (another review mentioned this below) I ended up in the ER! This location was once my favorite until I decided to try their new items on the menu. As I'm eating a piece of the chicken I noticed a piece felt gummy. Of course I spit it out and examine my food and it's freaking undercooked. I called the restaurant and spoke to an employee who told me the food was cooked throughly it just looks like that because the meat is "cured". Of course I was pissed because how are you telling me the food is cooked when you don't even know what I'm looking at.... Anyways long story short. I'm low-key kind of obsessed with eating here. This is my favorite local chain restaurant, and is absolutely better than eating at Cava and Sweetgreen, and costs roughly the same price. Dig has super tasty roasted vegetables, grilled proteins, delicious sauces, and other options. You can get them in a build your own bowl or salad. They also have some sandwiches on the menu. This area of downtown Brooklyn is rapidly growing and expanding with many fast casual chains such as Dig opening in the neighborhood. I have seen the area develop and this is a warm addition to the pre existing Cava and sweetgreen(s) in close proximity. Once you're at City Point, you walk around the corner onto Willoughby st and it is situated on a corner taking up pretty much half a city block! The lighting and location is perfect as there is plenty of seating inside, complimentary 2 hour wifi, and there is a gender neutral bathroom as well as a station for tap water. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by the staff and its open kitchen layout so you can see your food being prepared right in front of your eyes. They currently do not have a full menu on the menu boards but give you a physical menu to order from. Alternatively, you can just order directly on the DIG app and pick up in store. You have many options of customization, order a base such as farro or brown rice or salad leaves, add a protein or stick with veggies, and the option for two sides. Currently they have a thanksgiving themed menu so you can enjoy all the traditional Thanksgiving mix ins. The standard sides such as roasted sweet potatoes or Mac and cheese are staples and available all year round. Ive been a fan of DIG for a while, and usually would get food from the Madison Square Park location so I am familiar with the menu and how the food is expected to taste. Everything here was extremely fresh and the store was actually very busy for dinner time at 6pm on a weekday. I ordered the "chicken roast" which is breast meat chicken, with a farro base and I got the roasted sweet potato side with kale salad. I got the garlic aioli dressing with pesto dressing as well on the side. The food all together mixes well but it is heavy and you need to be full to enjoy the meal. If you want something lighter, I would opt for a salad or getting a salad base. They have many drinks to chose from such a house made teas or sparkling water, and they also make desserts such as kitchen sink cookies and flour less brownies. I personally love DIG for a more satiating traditional new American meal, and I would recommend everyone to try out this location if they are ever in the area!
