Going in, ​we timed our visit perfectly, reaching the counter to order just before the dinner rush arrived. Tonight, we ordered 1x Mezze Crunch Wrap with crispy chicken and 1x Peruvian Chicken Plate. Moving on with my review, ​we were both pleasantly surprised by the quality, freshness, and service! The Mezze Crunch Wrap was excellent; perfectly tossed in creamy tzatziki and packed with a vibrant blend of fresh greens, feta, tangy peppers, and tomatoes. The peruvian chicken had nice contrasting flavors between the creamy cojita cheese and aji Verde, pickled onions, and sweetness from the corn + potatoes! In addition to the food, the salad crew also took quality care in preparing our meals fresh to order. Furthermore, would like to mention that despite the ~$15 tag per entree, the meals are large enough to be split into 2 very filling portions which makes this an excellent value for the price. Just Salad and I have had a complicated relationship. Some visits have been excellent. Some have been disappointing. It's been a little like dating someone who alternates between bringing you flowers and forgetting your birthday. But this visit? This wasn't a dip in the roller coaster. This was the roller coaster jumping the tracks, catching fire, and somehow landing in the parking lot. What should have been one of the simplest restaurant transactions imaginable turned into a master class in how to make customers regret spending $40 on two salads. Let's start with the reusable bowl program. My wife and I purchased the reusable bowls directly from Just Salad as part of their promotion. The whole point is that bringing them back earns you a free premium item on your salad. Seems straightforward. We brought the bowls. We ordered the premium additions. We got charged for them anyway. I had to point out the bowls and explain the program before the charges were removed. Strike one. Then I asked to have the points from the purchase added to my loyalty account. The response? "Too late." Too late? I was literally standing at the register. The transaction wasn't even cold yet. Apparently there is a secret window of opportunity for loyalty points that closes faster than a Black Friday doorbuster sale. And here's my question: Why do I have to ask at all? It's your loyalty program. Shouldn't the restaurant be asking customers whether they're members instead of acting like points are a classified government secret? Strike two. Then came the dining room experience. We ordered two salads and two drinks and planned to eat there. No tray. We had to ask for one. Then my wife asked for a fork. The employee handed her exactly one fork. I asked why there was only one fork for two people. Without missing a beat, he responded: "She only asked for one." Now, I don't know what kind of advanced dining experience we're running here, but the last time I checked, most people don't share a single fork while eating two separate salads. Do customers typically eat the second salad with their fingers? Should we have drawn straws to determine who got utensil privileges? For forty dollars, I wasn't expecting white-glove service. But I was expecting two forks. And maybe just a tiny amount of common sense. The most frustrating part is that none of these issues were major on their own. It's the accumulation. Inconsistent food quality. Inconsistent service. Being charged for benefits that are supposed to be free. No loyalty points. No tray. One fork. And an overwhelming attitude that suggested helping customers was somehow an inconvenience. Forty dollars for two salads should come with a side of customer service. Instead, it came with a side of indifference. I'm done. One star. Good riddance, Just Salad. There are plenty of restaurants that would be thrilled to take my $40 and provide something that shouldn't be this difficult: consistency, competence, and basic customer service. read more

Today's experience just confirmed that I won't be a regular here as their protein ration is just too small and their competitors offer a lot more. The location is nice and clean. It was good, just too low on prot As someone who focuses on my health, when eating, I prioritize protein. The scooped amount given for the chicken was probably less than 80 grams. Less than half a chicken breast. This may work for others but for me it's way too low. I asked the girl preparing my food if I could get just a bit more and she said it would be charged as double. A double of an already small portion for three more dollars? Not worth it. The salad is already 13 dollars. The salad tasted good and I appreciate the dressing has no seed oils but I was hungry half an hour later. My mom ordered the Thai salad in the form of a wrap sub crispy chicken. Her chicken was literally two small nugget sized tenders. Way too low of a portion. I feel next time if I'm in the area I'd rather go to any of the competition that is on this intersection. I normally would get their cilantro like chicken bowl and it's really good majority of the time, there have been times when it wasn't as good as the others but 80% of the time it has been great. I've gotten their Peruvian marketplace plate the last couple times and it's become my favorite. Everything is very healthy and the place is clean as well. I got the orchard bowl today. It was arugula goat cheese and apples and chicken. I couldn't hear the person making my salad at all. That was a bit frustrating as I suffer from vocal fatigue and I try more than he did. I didn't care for the taste of the chicken today and the arugula was a bit wilted. Just Salad is a counter-style restaurant everyone should put on their list. It is a popular chain restaurant. I have tried it more than a handful of times and like it's fresh salads for lunch. It also has wraps and smoothies. Occasionally, I've even had it for dinner. You can add something called Regenerative Hemp Seeds here. I have begun adding them. Today I asked to have a For Here order and began ordering it. The employee then asked me "you said ToGo, right?" Wish they could listen a little better, especially when it was 3 pm in the afternoon and I was the only Customer. Ha! I had the balsamic chicken-Avocado salad. It has romaine lettuce, another lettuce, and generous amounts of avocado. It also comes with a Jamy Egg. The chicken it is made with is the "roast chicken." To it I added sesame tofu. I also added the aforementioned hemp for added health benefits. Almost every seat in the house was open at this time of day except where an employee was seated who seemed on break. I thought it would be fun to sit by the window for a change so I did. It wasn't a good idea, though, because there was a dead fly on the windowsill. I told them-about 4 employees- but they were unconcerned and could not look up from their cellphones at the exact moment I told them about it, Still a good place for salads with some noteworthy options. I'm a big fan of Just Salad & this new location was top notch. Although this isn't the closest one to me I'd definitely stop by again if I'm in the area. I was greeted right away with multiple smiles from behind the counter. I didn't know what I wanted at first & the employees gave some recommendations without making me feel rushed to decide. If you're a fan of salads, wraps & bowls then this is the place for you. I wanted to try something new so I ordered the spicy chicken Caesar wrap. I've never seen a spicy Caesar before so I had to get it. The wrap itself was big so they were able to load it up. The romaine was super fresh; it had the perfect crunch to it even when it was coated in dressing. There was plenty of chicken inside which was very tender. I really enjoyed the poblano Caesar dressing, it had a surprisingly good kick to it. You get a great profile of heat without it being too overbearing. I would say choose a different dressing if you don't like spicy though, it packs a punch. I loved it! I also ordered a strawberry lemonade which is self-serve. I'm glad the drink dispenser was out front & not behind the counter because I had to refill my cup multiple times, it was delicious. It's tangy & super refreshing. I could probably drink a gallon of this stuff. Although there were people inside when I arrived, everything was pretty spotless. There were multiple tables & the set up didn't make it feel too crowded. There's even some outdoor seating available. I also noticed the employees actively cleaning & restocking items which was another great sign. I hadn't been to JS in a long time so I'm happy this was such a good experience. They have plenty of take out options and your deliverer of choice can walk in, look at the pick up shelf, and know exactly where to find your items. I rested the Thai Crunchy Salad with zero modifications. They ask if you want light, medium, or heavy on the salad dressing....i went medium and it was perfectly coated without losing crunch. Loved this salad and the portions are huge. Two could have eaten this thing. The good news is that I have left overs for tomorrow. The hubs had the Honey Chicken Wrap..again, no modifications. It was huge and filled with delicious chicken, corn, pinion and a verity of other items. Andy's famous chocolate chunk cookie is a great way to end the meal. I placed an online order for pickup, which was scheduled to be ready at 8:55 PM. I understand that the location closes at 9 PM; however, I arrived at 8:54 PM, as instructed by the pickup time, and I found the doors locked. The employees inside ignored me as I attempted to get their attention. I knocked on the door a couple of times, and it wasn't until my sister also knocked that someone finally came to assist us.
