COCONUT SHRIMP - I bit one.

It sure how they've done it but they've gotten even better. I highly recommend the New England Clam Chowder. They don't skimp on the clam and it's just delicious. We ordered delivery tonight and everything was delicious and crispy. The fish and chips are definitely the way to go but we've tried quite a few things from this menu and haven't been disappointed once. I'd recommend this place over and over again. Great service, local gem, amazing food. Bravo!

Great food and service! The girls at the front were helpful and gave great suggestions. I had the fiery shrimp as an app and the ragin Cajun sandwich as my meal. Everything was great!

This place does seafood right and doesn't skimp on the fish. I had lunch there with my family today. The staff were really nice. You order at the register and they give you a number to bring the food for your table. The restaurant was really clean, they immediately clean the tables after customers leave. I ate the grouper sandwich, had my fish blackened and switched the tartar sauce for their special joint sauce instead. I loved it. The joint sauce is a spicy Mayo and it was really good on the sandwich. I was pleased with the size of the grouper filet. It comes with a choice of side and two hush puppies. I should have ordered more hush puppies, they were yum! I'm picky about Cole slaw and theirs was done right.

Delicious fresh food with friendly staff and a clean restaurant. The Fish Joint is located in a nice homey plaza. The menu has lots of options for everyone - hot and cold appetizers, soups and salads, sandwiches and burgers. The food comes out quickly and piping hot. I started with a bowl of clam chowder which was tasty but on the salty side. I was definitely paying the price with the water retention the next day. Portion size was good. The fried cod fish sandwich was huge and very good the fish was airy and flaky. The buns were fluffy and semi sweet. The coleslaw was light and not strongly seasoned. The burger was cooked medium and had a nice thick meat patty. Loaded with fresh toppings. The fries were hand cut potato slices and delicious. The hush puppies were a little dry but still good. Thank you Sebastian and Valentina for the good service!

My husband does NOT do superlatives. He said the Fish Joint had the best (cold) lobster roll he's ever had. I enjoyed my blackened mahi sandwich, to which I added sriracha which made it SING! Next time I will ask them to toast the bun a little longer as it was a bit soggy. Their fries are seasoned and delectable! This time we ordered takeout and the staff was friendly. I can't wait to return!

Super friendly service, food came out fresh and fast, my fried cod was so crunchy and hot. Lunch special was a great price and so many options included. No complaints ! Only recommendations.

Fresh seafood, plenty of options & something for everyone. The staff is very nice. The only drawback is it's a bit pricey but it's worth eating it every now & then. They've been around for a while so they know what they're doing. :)

    st STEAMERS CLAMS

I was craving a seafood boil for my birthday and decided to give "The Fish Joint" a try. The restaurant service set up is, you order at the register and your food is delivered to your table. I had no idea when I made the decision to go there. Not the best birthday celebration location however the food was very good. There is indoor bench style seating and a few tables outaide. We ordered the Steamers as an appetizer. They were cooked perfectly and delicious! The serving was plentiful and the broth was perfect. For my main, I had the half Crab Boil. It was also plentiful and fantastic. My fiancé had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with the Cajun Rice and Corn on the Cob. The Mahi Mahi and the rice were good but the corn and the serving size weren't so great. Another thing that wasn't so great was that a server never returned to our table to take away dishes that were finished, leaving a messy experience with a huge bowl of clams and a crab boil. I'll be back but not to celebrate anything. Might be better to get takeout at this restaurant.

I'm impressed. Was able to try 4 different dishes and really liked all 4, pictures included! All the fish was cooked to perfection with good flavor. Cool vibes in here too (surf themed) lol! The servers were super nice and helpful even after we got our food and sat. I also liked that I saw the servers thoroughly clean every table after people got up to leave. It's clean!

It was a supper amazing experience! The service was good and fast, which added to the overall enjoyment. We tried the fish and chips, conch fritters, and shrimp PO boy, and everything was fantastic. The portions were generous. Definitely a place to visit if you're in the area.

Walking into LaSpada's Original Hoagies isn't just ordering lunch, it's stepping into a deli version of a live sporting event. There's energy, there's precision, and yes, there's the legendary "airmail" toss of freshly sliced meat flying down the line like it's got somewhere important to be. Blink and you miss it. Smile and you're part of it. I went with my go-to: the Italian. And not just any Italian... this thing shows up dressed to impress. We're talking Boar's Head ham, cappy, pastrami, and provolone, sliced fresh right in front of you, then launched with deli theatrics onto perfectly waiting Italian bread. From there, it gets piled high with crisp veggies and those Italian peppers that quietly steal the show. Every bite hits like it's been rehearsing for years. Somewhere around bite three, I had a moment of clarity: "This isn't a sandwich... it's a commitment." Plot twist... you think you're just grabbing lunch. You're not. You're entering into a multi-meal agreement. A large sub here doesn't just feed you, it sticks with you. Lunch today, lunch tomorrow, maybe a late-night "just one more bite" situation. It's generous in a way that feels personal. My wife ordered the roast beef, and wow. Perfectly rare, ridiculously tender, sliced fresh and yes, sent flying down the line like it had a boarding pass. It was the kind of sandwich that makes you reconsider your own order mid-bite. Quick detour, because it deserves it... the homemade macaroni salad. I don't throw this around lightly, but I'd put it up against anyone's for best in class. Creamy, balanced, and somehow disappears faster than you expect. That's not an accident. And then you remember... this place took home "Best Sub in South Florida" from the Sun-Sentinel in 2025. Not surprising. Honestly, it feels overdue. Micro twist: you walk in thinking you'll try something new next time. You won't. You'll be back for the same order, and you'll be happy about it. After 25+ years in Coral Springs, they're not just consistent, they're automatic. The kind of place where you don't wonder if it'll be good... you just decide how hungry you are. Highest recommendation. Five stars, no hesitation. Final thought: Some places make sandwiches. LaSpada's Original Hoagies makes believers.

The first location was at Lauderdale By The Sea in Ft Lauderdale that I went to when I was younger. The Coral Springs location is close to me so I usually visit that one. It never disappoints because the hoagies are made to order with many toppings to choose from. The hoagies are piled high and come in 2 sizes. The sweet peppers are the best and are brought in from Chester, PA. The options of breads are wheat or white and always are soft and flavorful. My go to hoagie is the Turkey on wheat. The meats are sliced fresh to order right in front behind the topping station. The service is quick in making the sandwiches. You can also order over the phone or online for pickup. I always feel welcome. There is a small amount of seating. It's mostly a quick to go shop. Definitely will be back!

The prices initially caught my attention -- many of the sandwiches run around $20+ -- but the portions and quality start to make sense once you see what comes out of the kitchen. The owner, who hails from Brooklyn, noticed my order and told me I should try something different. He ended up making me an off-menu sandwich called the "Dapper Don." It starts with a toasted baguette brushed with garlic oil, then piled high with house-roasted beef, arugula, caramelized onions, crispy fried onions, herb aioli, and a generous amount of shaved Parmigiano. The flavors are big and well balanced -- peppery greens, rich aioli, sweet onions, and salty cheese tying everything together. The sandwich itself is massive. Easily large enough to split between two people. The shop is bright and modern and feels closer to an Italian paninoteca with Brooklyn-sized portions than a typical South Florida deli. One thing to note: this plaza has historically been a tough location for restaurants due to high rents. But if Generoso can build a loyal following around sandwiches like this, it definitely has a chance.

Laspada had a lit up sign in the window saying they're "open." I seem to recall Next Door Boca giving them decent reviews. I am a native of Philly, hometown of the hoagie. I thought I'd give this place a try. I ran from my car through the rain and tugged on the door....locked. The door hours say open at 11! So much for the lit "open" sign. They have outdoor metal tables and chairs under an awning. I sat at an outdoor table for ten minutes. I looked through the storefront window at a couple employees prepping and I read the wall menu. A guy unlocked the place at 11. I let a young family and several other guys go ahead of me. Guy at the slicing wheel waited on me. I ordered a small Mama Lastrada turkey & salami on wheat. There's about a half dozen employees behind the counter dealing with the assembly line of customers and sandwiches. Guy at the slicing wheel tells me one of the other guys will work on my sandwich. Okay. However, I can't move down the line because there's customers still lined up ahead of me waiting for their food. Slicing wheel guy looks up at me a minute later and asks what he can get for me. I look back at him waiting for him to recognize me from a minute ago when he already had sliced my order. No recognition! I repeated my order to him. Now he remembers me! He again refers me to one of his junior sandwich prep guys. I overheard him telling a busy junior guy, "This is just a small Mama on wheat" or something like that. Still, I can't go down the line because there's guy ahead of me had placed an order for 3 sandwiches. I swear to you that the slicing wheel guy asks me for a THIRD time for my order! By this time, I felt like I was in a Monty Python sketch. I repeated my order. Again, he refers me to a third junior associate (Manny, Moe, and Jack)? Finally, a young associate asked me for toppings. I had noticed two lettuce bins. One bin looked fine. The other looked a little brown. I decided to skip the lettuce rather than ask him to pick from the left hand bin and embarrass them. I also saw a black speck in the onion bin. It probably was nothing but I decided to skip onions just to be safe. I chose tomatoes, Swiss cheese, pickles and sweet peppers. The debit card reader asks if I want to tip. I skipped that. Price was reasonable. Hoagie was okay. The roll was soggy. Philly hoagie shops pride themselves on their rolls. I understand this is Florida, not Philly. I can appreciate this place is popular and busy. However, being asked for my order 3 times by the same experienced worker there left me feeling less than special as a customer.

FIVE STARS. GAS STATION? YES. GAS STATION? ALSO YES…read more Let's get something straight. Some of the best food on earth comes from places that look like you shouldn't trust them. Gas stations. Side streets. Tiny counters with three tables and a refrigerator humming in the corner. I saw WhatSub on Yelp and thought, "Alright. Let's see if the hype survives State Road 7." It didn't just survive. It flexed. I am fully on board with five-star gas station cuisine. In fact, I seek it out. And WhatSub doesn't just play the game -- it competes internationally. This place comes dangerously close to Sandwich Master in Turin, Italy. I'm not exaggerating. And it narrowly beats out Generoso's in Coral Springs, which is not an easy feat. The bread? Legit. The meats? Layered like someone actually respects the architecture of a sandwich. The balance? No soggy mess. No overkill. No amateur hour. And then the cannoli. Freshly piped. Not pre-filled. Not sitting there getting sad and humid. Fresh. Filled to order. Shell still crisp. Ricotta smooth and balanced -- not overly sweet, not grainy, not lazy. Best cannoli I've had in South Florida since Lorenzo's in North Miami Beach. That's not a casual comparison. That's a statement. Now let's talk atmosphere. It's technically in a gas station plaza -- and yet the owners and staff are actually speaking Italian behind the counter. Not performative. Not touristy. Just normal conversation like you accidentally stepped into a deli in Torino. It feels real. So real that I went back the next day. And then again. I am not joking. When I ask myself, "What was my favorite thing?" the answer is dangerous: Everything I ordered. Cold subs. Hot subs. Cannoli. Repeat. This is the kind of place you almost don't want to write about because once the word spreads, lines get longer and secrets disappear. But credit where credit is due. WhatSub is proof that greatness doesn't need chandeliers. Sometimes it just needs good bread, proper technique, and someone who actually cares.

Came here because I saw it was a new Italian sub shop near my area. Saw good reviews and wanted to…read moretry it myself. Behind the counter was a husband/wife duo who were the business owners (didn't get their names) who stated they were from Sicily. After much deliberation, I decided to order the Arthur Ave and the Milano. The Arthur Ave is a cold sandwich that had prosciutto, arugula, stracciatella, sun dried tomato. You have a choice of bread from white, wheat rolls, and focaccia. I was informed by the husband the focaccia is made fresh daily by his wife so of course I had to try that. The wife was nice enough to let me try a sample of the prosciutto and I have to say -- it was delicious, so getting it on a sandwich was going to be a no-brainer. The Milano was for my father. Watching them make the sandwich, they put two huge pieces of chicken cutlet, mayo, lettuce, tomato, and freshly sliced mozzarella. Again, I got the focaccia bread. Both sandwich's were drizzled on the top of the focaccia bread with fresh Italian olive oil which was just the cherry on top. I had told the owners it was my first time and we had a great conversation, that they were nice enough to give me and my parents 3 free mini cannolis -- which was completely unexpected and highly appreciated! As far as the food goes, I don't have enough adjectives in my vocabulary to describe how delicious this sandwich was. From the delicious meats, the fresh veggies, and my personal favorite part -- that focaccia bread. I would buy that alone. They had specials on their menu the day I went that was a not on their menu -- a meatball sub and arancini balls. Also, keep in mind, that this shop is inside the Mobil gas station on 441 and SW 18th. There is a sign on the outside of the gas station, but if you're driving by and unsure of the location, I can confirm it is inside the Mobil. Overall, a great experience; delicious food, great people behind the counter. Only caveat I would say is it is a little bit higher price for a sandwich, but with the current economy where a McDonalds burger is over 10 bucks, you truly get what you pay for and that is top quality, fresh and delicious food. Will definitely be coming back here in the future.

Desert Heat in Suburban Florida…read more Coral Springs is not exactly known for culinary danger. It's polite. It's manicured. It behaves. And then you walk into Falafel Gourmet and suddenly you're not in suburbia anymore -- you're in a little Middle Eastern oasis hiding in plain sight on State Road 7. First thing that hits you? That glass case of baklava. Not two sad trays. Not corner-store pastry vibes. A full shimmering lineup of honey-soaked, pistachio-loaded, syrup-dripping architecture. It's the kind of display that makes you whisper, "I'll pretend I'm taking it home for later." You're not. You're eating it in the car. Then the homemade lemonade. Not powdered. Not lazy. Fresh. Bright. And just when you think you've figured it out -- there's that hint of ginger. Subtle heat. Like it knows something you don't. It cuts through the richness like a blade. One sip and you realize Florida doesn't deserve this level of refreshment. Now let's talk shawarma. Lamb. Chicken. We had both. And this is where things get serious. Juicy. Properly seasoned. Wrapped tight. No soggy collapse halfway through. No bland filler. Just meat that's been treated with respect and cooked like someone's grandmother might actually yell at them if they messed it up. If your shawarma needs sauce to survive, you've already failed. This one doesn't. The service? Warm. Real. No robotic upsell script. You feel like they actually want you there. Like they care whether you enjoyed it. And then the teas. There's a section of teas that will make you want to point randomly and say, "Surprise me." You start asking questions. You start trusting recommendations. You start planning a second visit before the first one is done. This isn't fast food. It's edible hospitality. We walked in curious. We walked out planning to come back tomorrow night. That's the only review metric that matters. Will I come back? Hell yes.

You can really tell they use high-quality ingredients, and everything always tastes fresh and well put together. The staff is always friendly and helpful, which makes the experience even better. I usually get the Arthur Ave, it comes with prosciutto, stracciatella, arugula, and sundried peppers. I like to add pesto, which really takes it to the next level. My boyfriend can't have cheese, so he orders the Arthur Ave without it and swaps in lettuce for the arugula. He also adds tomato, pickle, and onion, and loves it every time. We've also tried other sandwiches like the buto cutlet, Boar's Head ham sandwich, bresaola, BLT, and more, everything has been consistently good. We especially love their fresh focaccia bread. It's soft, flavorful, and really makes the sandwiches stand out. It's definitely our go-to choice for any sandwich there. If you go later in the day, sometimes they are out so keep that in mind. We feel lucky to have this spot right around the corner from us. It's one of our regular go tos, whether we want something quick or just a really good sandwich. We'll definitely keep coming back and recommending it to others!

I was in today for the chicken Ceasar and it was off the chain! They also gave me a little canoli which was one of the best I have ever had and being from NY that says a lot. I didn't cat the ladies name at the front though she was amazing and shout out to Evelyn who also was outstanding. Will be bringing many people there and will be back soon myself for sure.
