He tried the Korean fried chicken wings and loved them, and he also ordered the bibimbap. While he said it wasn't his absolute favorite bibimbap he's ever had, he still really enjoyed it. We have friends who absolutely love this place, and since we were in the area... what the heck? We had a pretty good dinner, not something I'd regularly drive all the way down here for but all in all pretty good. We got in on a Friday night with no reservations, and got seated right away. Fun vibe with upbeat pop music playing, fun young staff, a gift shop, and decent decor. Food was brought out as each individual thing was finished instead of for the whole table, so a meal came before an app and one of us had all their food before the other, but eventually we had all our stuff and it was time to eat. Namu is our go to Korean spot--not just because we're local but because they truly have great Korean food! Not to mention, they have great staff and service to match... And their ambiance is fun, especially when they open their extension on weekends. We've gone at lunch and dinner, with just our small family and with a larger group. Our friends from Miami trek all the way north just to come here to fulfill their Korean cravings, and we proudly and gladly join. If you come with a big group, call ahead! My usual in the beginning was the seafood soft tofu soup, but since have added to our rotation: rose tteokboki (a must share), yaki spicy stir-fried ramen (basically if you want the yummy spicy rose sauce but sub the tteokboki with ramen noodles), Japanese curry cutlet (katsu), Korean fried chicken, bulgogi fried rice, pork belly, and galbi. We've tried a few others on the menu, but these are what we highly recommend to our friends. Even our little ones love it here! When we order drinks, they all have been good and they definitely don't skimp on the alcohol in their cocktails. My husband prefers drinking beer and usually will go for the Tsingtao or Sapporo. Don't ask us about the dessert though because by the end of our meal, we're usually stuffed! Jihye was amazing! Just the right amount of service, so much positive energy too. I'll ask for her in the future. The restaurant was busy but it was Saturday night so that's to be expected. The atmosphere was relaxed, fun, instead of sports on screens it was K-Pop bands. Quite fun! My family had the Korean fried chicken and loves every bite. The had the sweet soy sauce on the chicken, for an appetizer they had the buns and two specialty drinks. I had the edamame and it was hot but not scorching with just the right amount of salt. It was fresh, not frozen which mad the edamame crisp giving it a nice, from the field flavor. I then had the DONBURI HotPot Bowl with the beef, rice and clear noodles. Their beef was so tender, thinly sliced but plenty of it. Unlike some other places I have been, here it wasn't fatty or stringy. The pot was hot enough that the rice became crispy on the bottom and I LOVE THAT! It was such a generous portion that I wish I could've eaten more but just when I surrendered to the fact that I couldn't eat another yummy bite, Jihye showed up with a box for me anticipating my need. My second time for lunch at Namu. Late lunch. I have been there once before for dinner, when they first opened. I love Korean food. I was greeted by a nice lady. Sat at a booth. The restaurant is large. There were a few customers. The food has always been good. I was told to press the button, when I was ready to order. This is normal in some Asian restaurants and especially in Japan. The menu is extensive, but they do have a great lunch menu. Including Ramen and Korean food. A young man came to take my order. I opted for a passion fruit iced tea and water. I ordered the lunch Bento Box and chose the white fried fish. Your lunch comes with the house miso soup. And four small Korean dishes served first. You get all of this for $15. No soup or four dishes were served. The waiter brings the Bento box only. He quickly walks away and nowhere to be found. I pressed the button and the nice lady comes. I ask her for the soup and the four dishes that never came. She apologizes and brings it. At no time the waiter ever returns to my table. The food is delicious and plentiful. I highly recommend the passion fruit tea, it was delicious and the best I've ever had. But, the waiter needs retraining. If it was not for the nice waitress my experience would have been worse. I have eaten at NAMU many times. Most of the time, I order the bento lunch box, which comes with miso soup and side dishes like kimchi, tofu, broccoli, and daikon. The food quality and portion size are very good. The taste is always consistent and keeps the same good standard every time I visit. The restaurant is clean and has spacious seating, including tables for large groups. There is also a small Korean product corner inside the restaurant, which is nice to see. The service however? Please come with patience because the service is slow, you can only ask for one thing at a time and you will have to ask for everything. From your banchan to your water to even your utensils. I thought maybe the service was a one off the first time I came here. But I've been here a few times now and it is always the same. Been here 3 times now, so I must say, it's one of our go-to Korean spots! And we know it's pretty popular because just on a Saturday afternoon, just a little after 4pm, the restaurant was already bustling! So by the time we were leaving, a little after 6pm, people were still flooding in and it was getting packed. It's a good sight to see from a small biz standpoint, I'm sure. This was me and my hubby's first time eating here for dinner. We normally came for lunch (love the bento deals). So the dinner menu forced us to finally try something *not* in a bento. I got the beef tteokbokki, and they offered a "Rosé" version (they add CHEESE to make it creamier). It was sooooo freaking GOOD! I couldn't even finish it and it made for really good leftovers for dinner the following day and the evening after that (just add a little water each time, and the flavor is still there, not diluted! Crazy cool.) Although I've enjoyed MY dish, my hubs and cousin did NOT thoroughly enjoy their dolsot bibimbaps. They said it lacked flavor even with all the sauce provided. We all had a taste test of our meats, my friend's chicken fried rice was good (and A LOT... okay, it's safe to say dinner portions are HUGE, you might as well do family style), her chicken was flavored. My beef bulgogi was flavored from the broth of my tteokbokki. But the meats of the bibimbaps had NO flavor. So I totally get why they weren't impressed with their dishes. HOWEVER, we've enjoyed all other previous dishes we've had at other visits. Just know, the concept is similar to Japan's -- when you're ready to order or need attention, there is a bell to press from the table. I kind of wish that's adopted here in the US (just my preference -- it's more efficient for them to come when ready than for them to keep coming back and ask if we're ready, or for them to not come at all when it's busy). SO if you feel like you're getting ignored, they try their best not to (it's team effort, not just that one server) but if you do, it's mostly because you didn't ring the bell lol. The only Japanese dish we had were the takoyaki appetizer. They were good but not great. But otherwise, we've enjoyed more of the Korean dishes the times we've visited. When you find a place that nails all three -- excellent service, great atmosphere, and food so good it makes you question every previous life choice -- you just have to tell the world. Now, I briefly considered climbing onto Namu's roof to shout my praises, but apparently that's "frowned upon," so Yelp it is. My wife and I wandered into Namu one evening, and let me tell you -- we left as devoted fans and partial owners of several take-home containers. We kicked things off with the kimchi tofu. Soft tofu meets sizzling stir-fried kimchi, and suddenly I was in cabbage heaven. If there's a spa day for your taste buds, this was it. Then I decided to go rogue and ordered the Korean stir-fried ramen with a spicy cream sauce. Now, I've met "spicy" before. This wasn't it. This was goodness in my mouth -- creamy, flavorful, rich, and absolutely addictive. I'd order this again, and again, and again... honestly, someone should stage an intervention. My wife went classic with the donburi hot stone bowl, which came out sizzling like it had a personal vendetta against silence. A beautiful bowl of rice, glass noodles, and chicken -- it was so good I almost asked for a second spoon just to "help." Portions are generous, flavors are bold, and we somehow left with enough leftovers for two more meals each. (Or one if you open the fridge at midnight like I did.) Namu is that rare unicorn of a restaurant -- great service, cozy atmosphere, and food that hits every note perfectly. Coral Springs, we're lucky to have this gem. I've been meaning to come here for years and once I did I went back every week for the next 3 weeks. They have buttons to call the server to your table so you never feel abandoned. As for ambiance, they play kpop music videos so I absolutely love it! The stir fried udon is my favorite dish from them by far. Their ramen is also excellent. One note of caution, the ramen on their lunch special is not the same quality as the dinner version. The dinner version is very good, the version that comes with the lunch special seems to be from a ramen packet. So that was disappointing. The oreo bingsu dessert was very delicious, I like that they used milk ice for the base, it was very creamy. The corn and cheese appetizer is also very good but I feel it is expensive for just corn and cheese. I'd suggest their potato croquette as a more value appetizer. read more

I was brought here for my birthday, we have never been here, it was a group of 4 of us my brother and our 2 friends. It was a Friday night 8ish pm, it was a bit busy, big place very nice decorated, authentic even had a little mini shop with socks, hair clips, candy things from Japan/Korea. The food was great, good seasoning, good flavor, rice was white and simple but that's how they eat it, to drink we ordered a Leeche Soju which was given in shot glasses, it's one of those drinks that you sip on ( not like a soda or juice) they had different flavors. We unknowingly came 15 min before the kitchen closed (Google listed closing time as 10:30pm but on arrival staff let us know kitchen closes at 10). Nick speedily answered our questions. Absolutely delicious Korean fried chicken wings! We got the sweet soy flavor and man, these were incredible! Crispy outside, juicy and tender inside. The sauce was fantastic. We also had chicken dumplings, bulgogi fried rice, and chicken katsu curry. It was all great. They bring you a little appetizer before your food comes out which is a variety of little bites, from kimchi to fish cakes. The ice milk dessert is also phenomenal...I've gotten red bean as well as cookies and crème. They're both good but my vote goes to the cookies and crème. It has a ton of cookie crumbles in it. Super disappointed with my experience after seeing Namu on social media and the high praise on Yelp I had high expectations. We arrived and were seated right away I do think it's nice they have a button at the table that allows you to contact the waiters instead of them having to hover over you. But on to the meal I ordered the pork broth ramen with chicken. I did want to add additional egg for additional charge but was declined because they were running low which was fine. When my ramen did arrive I was happy I didn't get the egg as it isn't even a ramen egg was a plain hard boiled egg. The pork broth was also so bland. Overall a very disappointing ramen dish which I had maybe 4 bites of. The chicken which is dark meat was also kinda rubbery. I have had plenty of ramen of all kinda from all over South Florida and Los Angeles and this was one of the most disappointing. My husband ordered the spicy yaki ramen which he really liked and we did order the potato croquettes which were sweet and crunchy. They were the best part of the meal honestly. Another new place for us. We had dinner here last night 3/8/25. Well people, the food was totally & complete amazing. Our server made great recommendations. There is a button at your table to push when you need your server instead of having to wave them down. It led to great service. That's very cool!!! We stopped in around 6pm and were out by 8pm. Everything was well paced with a great break between the apps & the entrees. It was a well orchestrated meal. We started with the veggie pancake (served 1st) Korean fried veggie dumplings & Korean Fried Chicken 6 pieces bone in soy spicy (served 2nd). The KFC was so crunch and flavorful. Best I've had. I kid you not, it was a symphony of flavors in my mouth. For entrees we had the Japanese Spicy Miso Ramen all veggie no tofu with extra spicy oil on the side b/c my other half likes her spice. My great return back to The Namu, years later. The first time I went was when the restaurant first opened, so coming back, I'm glad to see the food was just as good as I remember it being. We were a group of 8 and we were able to be seated right away. I love Korean food and The Namu has a varied menu with great choices of different kinds of dishes. I got the stir fried spicy ramen with bulgogi beef. It was really fantastic. Not super spicy for me personally. A delicious, creamy, and flavorful dish. The bulgogi beef had a yummy marinade and was the right amount of chewy. Service was a little slow, but we kept ourselves busy with the good food and good vibes in the restaurant. I came to this restaurant at 1in the afternoon on a Friday and it was such an amazing experience. It wasn't busy and there was a lunch special. Mya was our server and she was super sweet and welcoming. This is my first time here but she recommended the corn with cheese and it was soo yummy. I had the pork bun and it comes with white rice. This portion is really good to share with at least three people. Since I arrived in lunch time I was able to choose the bento box Iunch menu that is $16. The lunch menu is available until 3pm. The bento box has soup, Korean chicken, broccoli, seaweed that you can add to the soup, fried rice and this potato salad. I didn't like the potato salad but everything tasted amazing. In the background you have a projector playing Korean music videos. Mya told us to come Friday or Saturday night because they open the other side of the restaurant and they have strobe lights.
