This Rack location has a decent selection. Most recently went shoe shopping with my boyfriend and he found exactly what he needed. Sometimes the store seems a little messy and chaotic with merchandise not displayed properly. It seems customers and employees just kind of let merchandise get tossed about. Other than that, good place to shop for better quality clothing and accessories at discounted prices.

It's technically floor length, but I'm 5'10" so it stops at the ankle instead of covering my feet. So now the shoes have to be stunning enough that no one will even notice the hemline. I ordered a pair on Amazon that were supposed to arrive Friday. Then I got the dreaded update that they were delayed to Saturday... at 10 PM. Well, that's not going to work. So I made the mad dash to Nordstrom Rack Saturday morning. I walked in with low expectations, fully prepared to hit multiple stores before finding anything close to what I needed. Instead, I found the most gorgeous Badgley Mischka crystal pumps. They're slightly bigger than my normal size, but that actually works in my favor. They're comfortable, my toes can move, and I can already tell I won't be plotting my escape from them halfway through the evening. While I was there I grabbed a strapless bra and even found a formal bag that works better than the clutch I originally planned to carry. Sibyl at checkout was the perfect finishing touch to my morning. Friendly, outgoing, and genuinely helpful. The whole experience felt like the Nordstrom culture of service I studied back in graduate school.

I arrived at 10:20 and plenty of parking. They do have a food court.

I was in a store once and wanted to join their app to save money and couldn't connect. So I actually left and had to go to Starbucks and come back. That's no good for anyone but Starbucks (but I didn't spend money there).

The interior reminded me of those souvenir shops you'd find down by the coast where music is playing overhead and you're surrounded by bright colorful clothing from the floor to the ceiling. There's lots of men's, women's and children's activewear along with numerous accessories. You can also find some Austin souvenirs and T-shirts here as well. For those of y'all not 'from round these parts', Tyler's is like a PacSun meets J.C. Penny store (at least to me it is anyway). I generally shop for items for Thing Two at Tyler's as most of the apparel skews toward a specific age demographic which yah gurl aint in. However, it should be noted that this retailer originated in 1978 in Tyler, Texas, as a single store specializing in tennis and running gear. They checked in on us and numerous customers as we were looking through the great selection. They greeted us upon entering the store and told us about the bargains for the day. No matter how many times we asked for help reaching boxes on the upper shelves Nicole never complained, but happily brought over the ladder to assist us. We have never experienced this great of customer service at this location. When we came back today, it was a different crew working. They weren't unfriendly but definitely not the same level of service - we weren't greeted nor did they check in to see how a new shoe hunt was going. We will be back for sure!

Inside this historical home are several other businesses sharing different rooms. However, I did not see much in the way of women's clothing as it seems to be more of a arts and craft store. This boutique fits into two small rooms about the size of two bedrooms, or about the size of an efficiency apartment. They have a lot of interesting artisan items such as calognes, body scrubs and room fragrances, but you can also design your own hats, necklaces, T-shirts, and tumblers with decals. What brought us here was the fact that they apparently sell something called LaBubu which is a Chinese doll that seems to have become the next Cabbage Patch kids craze. This little doll and the accessories ain't cheap and can set you back close to 100 bucks. Definitely a nice spot to visit if you find yourself downtown as the included photos and videos attest.
