I had a friend that is a hygienist look at my bill and they wanted me to get the most expensive of everything. She also told me most of it was unnecessary. My husband had 2 teeth extracted. We told them he wanted gas for the extractions and they ignored us and only numbed his mouth. He was getting a too and bottom tooth extracted. My husband had to tell the doctor he was supposed to extract the bottom one too. The doctor obviously didn't look at my husband's file because he sent him a prescription for Penicillin. My husband is extremely allergic to Penicillin. Thank goodness he decided to check before popping them in his mouth. They also charged him over $700 for fillings that haven't even been done. When I called and spoke to Vanessa to get my money back she hung up on me. We later found out that Bailey was telling other employees that my husband was an ahole. The people are so rude and unethical. I called their headquarters in Dallas and left a message for the HR executive director Chad, and reported them to the Better business Bureau. Do not go here. It is a hot mess and they are just going to try to get as much money out of you as possible.

I just started a new business earlier this year, and lost my benefits package from my prior 15 yr employment, and Mint saved my day with their Mint Freedom Plan for those without insurance. (The perks alone are WORTH the annual membership fee @ $199) Later that day, I made my appointment online, finished the necessary paperwork that was sent to me, and scheduled for two days prior; I enjoy the ease of scheduling and intake protocol they have as well, no "filling out" paperwork, it's all digital. If you happen to need to get your paperwork done when you arrive, they have iPads for you to do so...easy peasy! The only thing that was a wee bit disappointing was the wait time, in which I waited a bit over 20 minutes, and I arrived 15 minutes prior to my appointment. Listen, I still would give them a five star review regardless! From start to finish, the kindness and professionalism oozed out of this office! It takes a lot to impress me and write a review, but hands down, this is a great office to come to. Every person I came in contact with had the best attitude and willingness to assist from front desk, intake, dentist, hygienist....every person, that's not common nowadays. Not only was the office very clean, tidy and swanky, they have great cutting edge equipment, and the knowledge to boot to give you the best care. They also have all your dental needs under one roof, from exam/cleaning, ortho, cosmetic, Mint has you...who does that, and all customizable?! TLDR; botched root canal nearly cost me my life; did cost me my health…read more What would I recommend Mint Dentistry for? Relatively inexpensive cleaning. However, whatever you do, DO NOT accept any offer from them to do anything beyond cleaning. I was told I needed to have a root canal on one of my molars. Was in the chair for 4 hours. At least half of which was sitting there by myself, with my exposed nerves waiting for the dentist to come back from whatever they were off doing and finish the operation. They finished, and I went home. A few months later, I started to become sick relatively frequently - at least once every 1-2 months for nearly the next 2 years; my immune system had weakened for some reason, but I was never terribly sick. I had done cleanings with them after that, but a dental abscess had begun presenting over the span of a week where I became especially ill, I came back in to have it examined. After x-rays, I was told I had an infection at the root, prescribed clindamycin--an extremely potent, broad spectrum antibiotic--and was referred to an endodontist. Six days into my seven day course of clindamycin, my entire body broke out due to an allergic reaction. This is also when I found out that I'd had Mono for the last two weeks due to my weakened immune system from the infection. I was put on steroids for the reaction and finally made it to an endodontist appointment. The dentist at Mint Dentistry had missed TWO nerves in my root canal nearly two years prior. They had rotted inside the canals of the dead tooth and become infected. Luckily the endodontist was able to redo the root canal, but my recovery was exacerbated due to my compromised immune system, allergic reaction to the overkill antibiotic prescribed by Mint, and weeks of additional sickness and recovery due to my destroyed gut microbiome which was wiped out by the same broad spectrum antibiotic. Oh, and I had to figure all this out myself since I was never warned about the potency of said antibiotic by Mint... The endodontist told me I was lucky we caught it when we did, because if the infection had grown much more, it likely would have spread through my blood and infected my heart... In summary, Mint Dentistry is a chain-cleaning service. And it stops at that--which is totally fine if that's what you need, but quality dentists do not work here, and there's a reason why. You wouldn't wine and dine your wife at a chain fast food spot for your anniversary, so don't do so with your oral health. It's been a couple years now since all this took place, but better late than never when people's health is on the line.

The dentist walks in to her in the chair and not only has a visible shocked and slightly appalled look on their face and then actually said something to the effect of "woah". to my niece! How can you call yourself a professional and treat a kid coming in to be seen for something this way?! I'm appalled and disgusted by the fact that an adult, much less a professional adult who bases their practice on helping to improve people's confidence in their looks could behave this way to a teenage girl.
