Having been to this store a handful of times I was excited to go in and shop today but…read moreunfortunately I don't think I'll ever be going back. As I was in line waiting to check out I noticed some people arguing price with the owner and thought nothing of it, BUT I absolutely should have. I made polite conversation with the owner as he was ringing up my items but then when he said my total I was a bit taken aback as it was higher than I had expected. When I was shopping I had been keeping a running total as I went and this seemed well above it. Unfortunately I did not trust my gut and paid for my items and figured I'd just check everything when I got in the car. I was given no receipt and when I went to check the items I remembered that as we were chatting the owner had cut off the price tags. I calculated (rounding up) what I remembered the tags to have said (even checking pictures I had sent my husband for opinions) when I was shopping and was shocked to see that I had been overcharged by about $50 dollars. It seems like this guy likes to take advantage of people and just charge whatever he feels in the moment and then makes it so there's little to no consequence for his actions because there's no way to "be sure" unless you're watching and calculating every single thing as he goes through. The only reason this review isn't one star is because of my previous pleasant experiences but BE CAREFUL here because you never know when the owner might decide to ruin your day.

Some other items , like furniture are way too high. The only discount day (Thursday) is for seniors. Even then, there's still some things that aren't discounted for seniors so ask ahead. The customer service could be improved. They do have a back patio area with more stuff. I learned the hard way, they lock the door after a certain time. Me and another customer were confused, tried knocking on the door. No answer, made our way to a side door. No apology from staff, more annoyed that we were outside. I do appreciate that at least they have a return for store credit, policy on electronics (7 days ) With it being such a small space, perhaps some better pricing and discount days would help with sales and make room for more donations. I called at 6pm and they said the tires arrived and been waiting for me but now it's 6 and they need reschedule for tomorrow. Not a problem at this point but they seem very unorganized... I get it. I worked retail for a long time so I understand things happen. The following day I come in for appointment and they said the tires are here but the paper was send to Carson city... just waiting for the manager to override this so we can help you.... I waited 1 hour and still no help... the older man said the manager knows but it busy. I waited another 30 minutes and still no answer.... I looked for the manager in the store and found her! I reminded her that the nice older man was waiting for her approval and there a line in the tire center- She was rude! She said it's not her priority and she'll get there when she does.... I told her he's been waiting for awhile and I said thank you my appointment was over an hour ago .... She was rude Again and said move out of the costumer service line. No " I'm sorry and I will help" no please set out of the line and I will get to you soon". Nothing! Just rude, nasty , older big woman barking orders . Shame !!! This lady needs to learn to desolate herself and the situation. She needs training on customer service. In my opinion she's too old and grumpy to be working anyway. I called the store and after many attempts to actually speak with someone, they put me back on hold for over 15 minutes. Lots of fun things: furniture, art, cute bear stuffed animals, and some fun knick knack type things. What impressed us most though was the service. We walked in with a stroller and the gal working there was super accommodating, told us she'd move anything around if it wasn't stroller-path friendly. She offered us a soda or coffee, and showed us where the restroom was if we needed it. Honestly it's the warmest reception we've gotten entering a store in a long time, a very nice surprise.

The lady at the register said "they are on the board". There were atleast 10 different "sales" listed on the board. I stated that is a lot to read. She was not interested. Thankfully, a kind gentleman shouted "red tags half off, yellow tags $1". Thank you. That works for me. Then while we were shopping another lady who I assumed was in charge yelled at 2 teen volunteers to stay on task or she would clock them out. It was uncomfortable for me and another shopper and we even talked to each other about it. They should not have been reprimanded in front of customers. Other than that this was a worthy stop.
