July 2025…read more McClendon's...My Saturday morning addiction! If you know, you know...and if you don't know McClendon's yet, let me be the one to lovingly shove you in their direction. I've been shopping with them for years, mostly at the Uptown Farmers Market, and it's become a non-negotiable part of my weekend routine. Their fruits and veggies? On another level. I'm just telling you that once you taste their organic produce, it ruins the grocery store for you. I'm not being dramatic...okay maybe a little...but seriously, everything just tastes better. The carrots are sweeter, the citrus is brighter, and don't even get me started on the herbs. Fresh. Fragrant. Plentiful. I buy more than I need every time because I can't help myself. My fridge is so happy to be filled with all the herbs! It makes cooking seem way less like a chore and more like something wonderful that I get to do! The team is always kind, helpful, and genuinely happy to be there. You feel good shopping with people who care about what they do. Bonus? I actually spend less money here than I do at the store. Significantly less and for a much higher quality of food! It's wild. Totally worth the drive! Bottom line: McClendon's is the gold standard of Arizona farming. Your taste buds will thank you. Your wallet probably will too.

So many amazing hand made items, from food made, to veggies grown, wood workers, hand sewn items (like myself). Of course the coffee and sourdough vendors! I bought local duck eggs, plenty of produce from multiple local farms, and locally roasted coffee here. We also enjoyed locally made all-natural sorbet, the coconut sorbet was the best! We came on Halloween and I was heating up in my costume so this cooled me down. It's opened on Saturdays from 9am to 2pm in September through May, and 8am to 11am in June to August. I was told all the chicken eggs sell within the first hour, so get there right at opening. It's located in the old Sears parking lot at the Arrowhead Mall. Bring your reusable bags, and have fun meeting all of the local vendors! My favorite were the goats, though they should definitely be given more space to run around. I also loved the Beal Beans couple, they were very friendly and knowledgeable about their roasts, and grinded their beans I bought from them for me since I don't have a grinder at home. I really tried to keep this review short but I couldn't - it was a very enjoyable farmers market!

Someone gave me a kordes perfecta rose bush that came from this nursery. It bloomed for a month…read morethen died. I loved the color, fragrance, rose shape. So i waited until they had them back in stock The next year and bought two of the same variety of rose going by the label attached as it wasnt blooming yet. One died again within a month the other after it bloomed it was obvious that it was miss-tagged and not the same variety. Not even close, colors are wrong very little fragrance wrong flower shape. The next year they didn't carry kordes perfecta variety and still don't. So i have a rose bush i cant stand and never would have purchased and cannot get the variety i want anymore. Each time i go they want cash only and wont give a receipt. So its impossible to get a new plant. Please note i got my maricopa master gardener certification in 2001. And my yard was once on a garden tour... i know how to grow things. So why did 2 of 3 die within 1-2 months? And why are they misstagged? Not happy at all

Jake is really informative with his varietal information and they even have a bonsai now. They always have a few new plants that are interesting or unique types you just can't find anywhere else I've seen. They have contrator accounts but they Do care about gardening enthusiasts that come in. Other nurseries I went to only care about contractor accounts but this nutsery is just a nice environment for gardeners of all ages.
