Someone gave me a kordes perfecta rose bush that came from this nursery. It bloomed for a month then died. I loved the color, fragrance, rose shape. So i waited until they had them back in stock The next year and bought two of the same variety of rose going by the label attached as it wasnt blooming yet. One died again within a month the other after it bloomed it was obvious that it was miss-tagged and not the same variety. Not even close, colors are wrong very little fragrance wrong flower shape. The next year they didn't carry kordes perfecta variety and still don't. So i have a rose bush i cant stand and never would have purchased and cannot get the variety i want anymore. Each time i go they want cash only and wont give a receipt. So its impossible to get a new plant. Please note i got my maricopa master gardener certification in 2001. And my yard was once on a garden tour... i know how to grow things. So why did 2 of 3 die within 1-2 months? And why are they misstagged? Not happy at all read more

We removed our last desert museum tree in front of our home. We needed to replace it asap. I did not want any more high maintenance trees to replace it. I have been our landscaper for 26 years! I saw an Ocotillo on our HOA tree list. Although it didn't seem ideal I was shooting for low maintenance. Hee hee Jackpot finding this nursery. Thank goodness for Yelp. No matter where I went I couldn't find any good looking Ocotillo anywhere. I found some for around $54 at a couple places but they were laying around out of the dirt and didn't look very attractive and they were small. I found beautiful ones at local chain nursery but @ $699 even after being on sale for 50% off then add $249 to deliver I wanted to faint. My mother had purchased a couple at an awesome nursery for $24 5 years ago that look fantastic after settling in, but they were sold out and I needed instant gratification in our front yard. Martha here at Marbil was awesome. She had Ocotillo. Not only that but they take the extra care to water them top down which keeps their green foliage. Everything is grown right here in Arizona full sun so they do a lot better being already than coming in from another state since they are already acclimated to our weather. If you have ever driven out to where the farm fields are just west of the 303 and have seen field full of flowers in the full sun. That is where they get them from. When I was in high-school once my friend and I were driving home at night. Seeing the fields of beautiful flowers in the headlights we thought we would pick a flower for each of our moms. I didn't think of it as stealing back then. I thought I was sweet and innocent. Ha ha Well Karma bit us fornwhen we went to walk onto the edge of the field to grab a flower we sank up to our knees in mud. That was the end of that. They have lemon trees and tons of flowers too. Plus they sell at wholesale. I never had rose bushes and after possibly stealing from them years ago I thought I better buy some roses. I never had before. Martha picks out the best ones for you. For real no BS here. She shared how to care for each plant we purchased which was so helpful. Every rose smelled different which was amazing. I paid $140 for the Ocotillo and $15 for each rose plant. My husband stopped by on the way home from work to pick the Ocotillo up in his truck. Awesome customer serve and beautiful trees and plants. Will be back! read more

Large selection of desert plants. All plants are desert grown. Having grown up in the desert, these plants do not need to acclimate the way plants that have been trucked in from more mild climates do. That mean plants from Marbil Nursery have a higher likelihood of survival. Plants all seemed to be thriving. Amazing customer service. Having not been there before, I headed to the office. I was pointed in the direction of the trees I was looking for, and told he or Martha would be by to check on me shortly. Moments later, Martha rolled up on a golf cart. She helped me determine which variety of lemon tree would be right for me. She loaded it up in her golf cart, and helped load it into my car. She even offered to put a bag around the base to help prevent my car from getting dirty. While ringing me up, she gave me both verbal and printed planting instructions. Prices can not be beat. The size of lemon tree they sell for $89 here was $299 at another nursery. Prices for cacti and trees are just as low. These also have great prices on desert roses. Seriously considering going back for one of the multicolored varieties. This is strictly a nursery. No garden gnomes, wind chimes or other outdoor decor found here. Also no garden tools. At Marbil, they focus strictly on the plants, and do a fantastic job of it. I would not hesitate to recommend Marbil Nursery. read more

This is an update of my previous 5-star review. I am just a residential customer who went out to Marbil recently, searching for more succulents for my yard. If I didn't know better, I would have guessed the business has been sold, except that the same pleasant woman was working there. So what's the problem? The selection of succulents was a small fraction of what it was when I was out there a year ago (Home Depot and Lowe's have a superior selection and honestly, better looking plants). Even worse, the prices at Marbil were at least twice what you would find at HD and Lowe's. Marbil seems to be suffering from $39-itis. Small to medium-size plants were all priced at -- you guessed it -- $39. Maybe if you needed a very large plant or tree... I hate lowering my star rating for this onetime rare jewel. read more

Very knowledgeable, helpful and patient with me while I was deciding the right plants to go with. Even took the time to help me pick out the nicest looking ones out of the bunch. Landscaping is expensive so any savings is good savings. Marbil is a very good savings. Husband and I recently bought a flip with absolutely no landscaping. We were looking for a fast growing shade tree. After going to the normal retail retail outlets and having sticker shock I found Marbil by accident. They are a wholesale supplier so they don't advertise. The 24" box Chinese Elm we wanted ran from $225 to $279 at the other guys. We got it for $89, out the door. They were knowledgeable and the customer service was outstanding. They loaded and tied down in my truck and gave me instructions on how to plant and water correctly. The only downside is it is a pretty good drive and they aren't a full service nursery. They only sell trees and rose bushes. They are going to be our go to for all of our tree needs! read more

I just bought a new home and I was looking for some decent citrus trees to plant myself. I looked online to see if there were any nurseries nearby and I found this gem a few miles from my home. I went there on Friday at 300 pm and spoke to Martha who was very helpful with helping me find the trees I was looking for. Since it was close to closing time, I had to come back the next day to finalize my purchase and pick up the trees. Martha was very knowlegable and gave me lots of information on all the citrus trees she had and answered all my questions regarding the planting process. I bought a Cara Cara Orange, Arizona Sweet Orange, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Lisbon Lemon, and a Mexican Lime Tree. They were all in the 25 gallon pots and I walked out of there paying 1k for all. That was a great deal for citrus trees and one of them had fruit on it too. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for great deals in the far west valley. Another interesting fact about this place is that they have been at this location for the past 28 years so they are definitely doing something right! Wish I could give more than 5 stars! I was looking for some roses that will survive our harsh phoenix summers and after consulting with some neighbors and experts online, they all recommended I get some from Marbil. Their roses are grown here in phoenix and are adapted to the weather, and everyone said they are their only roses that thrive. They had a huge variety and it was only $14 per rose! The customer service was outstanding and I loved learning from Martha and Michael. They are wholesale and a lot cheaper than the name brand stores, with better quality plants and better service in my opinion. I ended up leaving with 11 roses and couldn't be happier with the way they turned out! Will never go to Home Depot or a big name nursery again! read more

They have everything from citrus trees, succulents, cacti, roses, palms, etc. absolutely love this place, and we will be back for more plants! ROSES - February rose lovers you have to make the trip to visit Marbil Nursery. I participate in a rose FB page exclusively for the Phoenix area and everyone has mentioned Marbil Nursey. I finally made the trek (I live in the opposite side of the valley) and I will say it was sooooooo worth the trip. Today is February 9, 2019 and they had great varieties of roses. Someone on the Arizona Rose Gardeners FB page recently posted Marbil Nursery had a great selection roses so this is me taking the 50 mile trek to the other side of town. I was not disappointed. The varieties are unbelievable -Arizona, Blue Girl, Love, New Year, Gold Glow, Dick Clark, Sunny Delight, Pascali, Double Delight ....this is just a few. MIZGIN- only works Saturdays...and she was a great help with picking out the best (in her opinion) roses, varieties, knowledgeable and letting you know her favorites. This is the place you need to go to for your Palo Verde. They sell to most of the nurseries. Here you can get beautiful Palo Verdes for about 1/3 of the cost. They have acres of trees in all sizes. We got 2 24 in for 150 dollars! 2 weeks ago I bought a palo verde for 180! This is a crazy amount of savings. Totally worth the drive. They also have reasonable priced fruit trees and cactus. Check them out. It is the best place for your Palo Verde trees! read more
