We removed our last desert museum tree in front of our home. We needed to replace it asap. I did not want any more high maintenance trees to replace it. I have been our landscaper for 26 years! I saw an Ocotillo on our HOA tree list. Although it didn't seem ideal I was shooting for low maintenance. Hee hee Jackpot finding this nursery. Thank goodness for Yelp. No matter where I went I couldn't find any good looking Ocotillo anywhere. I found some for around $54 at a couple places but they were laying around out of the dirt and didn't look very attractive and they were small. I found beautiful ones at local chain nursery but @ $699 even after being on sale for 50% off then add $249 to deliver I wanted to faint. My mother had purchased a couple at an awesome nursery for $24 5 years ago that look fantastic after settling in, but they were sold out and I needed instant gratification in our front yard. Martha here at Marbil was awesome. She had Ocotillo. Not only that but they take the extra care to water them top down which keeps their green foliage. Everything is grown right here in Arizona full sun so they do a lot better being already than coming in from another state since they are already acclimated to our weather. If you have ever driven out to where the farm fields are just west of the 303 and have seen field full of flowers in the full sun. That is where they get them from. When I was in high-school once my friend and I were driving home at night. Seeing the fields of beautiful flowers in the headlights we thought we would pick a flower for each of our moms. I didn't think of it as stealing back then. I thought I was sweet and innocent. Ha ha Well Karma bit us fornwhen we went to walk onto the edge of the field to grab a flower we sank up to our knees in mud. That was the end of that. They have lemon trees and tons of flowers too. Plus they sell at wholesale. I never had rose bushes and after possibly stealing from them years ago I thought I better buy some roses. I never had before. Martha picks out the best ones for you. For real no BS here. She shared how to care for each plant we purchased which was so helpful. Every rose smelled different which was amazing. I paid $140 for the Ocotillo and $15 for each rose plant. My husband stopped by on the way home from work to pick the Ocotillo up in his truck. Awesome customer serve and beautiful trees and plants. Will be back!

Large selection of desert plants. All plants are desert grown. Having grown up in the desert, these plants do not need to acclimate the way plants that have been trucked in from more mild climates do. That mean plants from Marbil Nursery have a higher likelihood of survival. Plants all seemed to be thriving. Amazing customer service. Having not been there before, I headed to the office. I was pointed in the direction of the trees I was looking for, and told he or Martha would be by to check on me shortly. Moments later, Martha rolled up on a golf cart. She helped me determine which variety of lemon tree would be right for me. She loaded it up in her golf cart, and helped load it into my car. She even offered to put a bag around the base to help prevent my car from getting dirty. While ringing me up, she gave me both verbal and printed planting instructions. Prices can not be beat. The size of lemon tree they sell for $89 here was $299 at another nursery. Prices for cacti and trees are just as low. These also have great prices on desert roses. Seriously considering going back for one of the multicolored varieties. This is strictly a nursery. No garden gnomes, wind chimes or other outdoor decor found here. Also no garden tools. At Marbil, they focus strictly on the plants, and do a fantastic job of it. I would not hesitate to recommend Marbil Nursery.

We had a great experience with this nursery. We needed about 10 plants to put around our pool. We had two individuals help us out, the last I believe was the owner. Very knowledgeable, helpful and patient with me while I was deciding the right plants to go with. Even took the time to help me pick out the nicest looking ones out of the bunch. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Landscaping is expensive so any savings is good savings. Marbil is a very good savings. Husband and I recently bought a flip with absolutely no landscaping. We were looking for a fast growing shade tree. After going to the normal retail retail outlets and having sticker shock I found Marbil by accident. They are a wholesale supplier so they don't advertise. The 24" box Chinese Elm we wanted ran from $225 to $279 at the other guys. We got it for $89, out the door. They were knowledgeable and the customer service was outstanding. They loaded and tied down in my truck and gave me instructions on how to plant and water correctly. The only downside is it is a pretty good drive and they aren't a full service nursery. They only sell trees and rose bushes. They are going to be our go to for all of our tree needs!

Do you sell any wind chimes?

I’m sorry Gwen we do not.

We are looking at planting a Red Pistache in our yard and live in Surprise. Do you only sell to wholesale places or could we select and then have our yard service pick up and plant this variety of tree. What size boxes do you have?

Hello Kathy. Sorry for the late response. We would sell to you if you wanted to come in and chose some plants. Our really only sell 25-gallon containers (equivalent to a 24" box) of this type of tree for $140.00 at this time. We can then load your…

From start to finish, my experience with Moon Valley Nursery in Avondale was not just good--it was beyond exceptional. Honestly, 10 out of 5 stars isn't even enough. Wesley Erwin, the sales rep, set the tone right away--professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me make the right decisions. I am wheelchair bound and not knowledgeable about AZ plants and trees. BUT Wesley took time and care and walked us through every single little question we had with a smile!! Wesley even put me in a UTV vehicle to drive us around the entire lot as we looked and quizzed him!! He is a wonderful man with a big heart and a love for his job! Then came Javi and his planting crew, and that's where things went to another level. Javi may be a young man, but he carries himself with the pride, work ethic, and integrity of an old soul. You can hear it in his voice, feel it in his handshake, and see it in every detail of his work. That kind of character is rare. His crew? Fast. Efficient. Respectful. And genuinely friendly--something you don't always see these days. They worked hard, worked smart, and treated me with real care and respect as a disabled veteran. Because of this team, Moon Valley Nursery has earned my loyalty--no question about it. If you're looking for top-tier service and people who truly take pride in their work, this is the place. John welcomed me with a handshake (a real one, not that weak stuff some guys give) and listened to my needs. I showed him the pics of what I needed and he rattled off the names and showed me what they had. For the coral fountain and purple lantana there was a lot to choose from. For the red bird of paradise (15 gal) there was only one up front and it wasn't a 10/10. He offered to take me in the back to look at others but I was in a time crunch. He went back, grabbed a beautiful specimen, and was back up front with it next to my truck before I paid. This is a place you go to do business at, but you won't get that warm fuzzy personable experience which is totally fine with me. Their Ocotillos weren't what I was looking for so I was on my way. Still worth checking out if ever looking for desert or tropical plants. Many are under shade but still get sun. Just think of where you'll be planting it verses how they are growing it and you should be fine. They are very busy.

Home Depot at Cactus 16601 Cactus Rd., Surprise, AZ…read more Tuesday, August 11, approximately 8:40 pm... I had a very disappointing customer service experience at the Home Depot in Surprise this evening. I specifically asked a sales associate whether the store carried any blowers that were cordless/non-electric, because I did not want one that needed to be plugged into an electrical outlet. She told me no, that they only had electric blowers, but said that if they did have what I was looking for, it would be somewhere between aisles 4-8 and that I would need to access that area from the front of the store. While I was looking, I noticed another customer standing in front of a locked display of blowers. An associate came to unlock the rack for that customer, and I asked her whether those blowers were electric. She told me yes. After they walked away, however, I looked more closely and realized the blowers on that rack were actually battery-powered/cordless, which was exactly the type of product I had originally been asking about. I then had to find another associate to unlock the display again so I could look at them. That associate confirmed that they were battery-powered and showed me additional battery-operated models. She also told me that Home Depot carries gas-powered blowers as well. So despite being told that the store only carried electric blowers, I ultimately discovered that this location carried electric, battery-powered, AND gas-powered options. What disappointed me even more was the response when I explained what had happened. Instead of simply acknowledging that I had been given incorrect information, the associate said she didn't blame the first employee because she "probably" considered battery-powered to be electric. That misses the point. I was very clear that I was looking for a blower that did not need to be plugged in. More importantly, if an associate isn't sure what a customer means or doesn't know what products are available, it would be much more helpful to ask a clarifying question or find someone who knows the department rather than confidently giving incorrect information. I'm not writing this to get anyone in trouble. I'm writing it because I hope management at the Surprise location will use experiences like this as an opportunity for additional staff training. Customers rely on associates to help them navigate products they may not be familiar with, and a little more product knowledge, listening, and willingness to ask questions would have made this a completely different experience.
