We came in the day before Thanksgiving, and even though North Carolina had a good amount of western apparel, we figured this would be a good stop to see if there was anything we couldn't live without. We got there 2 minutes before opening time and tried the door. It was locked, no big deal because... we were early. Here's the thing though. The staff came to the door, looked at their watch, looked at us, and walked away. Legit "not my job" vibes. Cool. We waited the 120 seconds at the front door and once we were inside, and I guess they were getting paid, the staff was friendly, offering g to help us look for whatever we needed. In general they weren't pushy but they were helpful. The prices are decent. You're not going to walk out feeling g like you won the lottery, but you also didn't make a mortgage payment. The area is being gentrified so we'll see how long they hold out until some developer snaps up the land and builds more condos, maybe with a coffee shop. They'd get 4 stars but making us wait for 120 seconds just seemed downright unfriendly. read more

A little confused as to what happened to this location. Growing up in Fort Worth I loved coming here as a kid, but as I'm leaving the store today I'm saddened to say I will be taking my business elsewhere. I walked into the store and no one greeted me (usually that's not something I care about), however, they also did not ask if I needed any help or verbally acknowledge me at all the entire time I was in the store. Not even a goodbye or thank you as we walked past the men at the register. The staff greeted everyone else walking in so I knew it wasn't because they were busy. I'm unsure as to why this was the case and hoping it wasn't because of the fact I look a little different than their normal clientele or the fact my partner (a woman) has a buzz cut hairstyle, but considering the awkward and judgmental eye contact the staff made towards my partner I'm leaning towards that may have been the case. I thought Justin was a brand for everyone but the staff here just didn't make it feel that way. Extremely sad my last time at this establishment was a horrible experience. read more

I recently visited my daughter in FW and was in the mood for some boot shopping. I was visiting from San Diego and had to get me a pair of original Ropers. I purchased boots from the factory story when I lived here in the 80's. Nothing has changed. Great service, Great Value, and Great Customer service. They even gave this old Marine at 10% Veteran discount. The lady who helped me out was very nice and gave me exactly what I wanted in the way of a beautiful fitting boot. So in less than 6 months one boot faded to a completely different color. Their return policy is setup to discourage customers from sending anything in. To have my boots "inspected" was going to take 4 to 5 weeks to determine if there was fault on their behalf and cost me half the price of the boots to ship to them. And I may not even get a partial credit and have to pay to have my boots shipped back to me. They may be comfortable but they look terrible and the faded boot is wearing thinner everyday. I bought a pair a boots for my dads funeral about 2 months ago and I loved the boots. ThEy felt great. You could tell they were real good quality but the heal started to get a little loose and it created a small gap. I took them back to the store expecting to have them just glue it back down or nail it down but they went above and beyond and provided me with a brand new pair of Justin boots!!! I am very disappointed with Justin Boots. I returned a pair of boots around the first of the year because of the sole completely coming apart, as well as the inner liner on the heel tearing (Anyone who wears a work boot can attest to how uncomfortable that is) . I started this return and was assured it would take around 15 days. Today (April 4th) I was informed the return would not be honored ,and infact I would be charged for having the boots returned to me. Almost 4 months later. I am disgusted with Justin brand, and will tell anyone and everyone about my experience with this company. I will attach my final correspondence with their return department.. Great place to buy new boots for cheaper than full retail. They sell a variety of women's "real boots" and a good mix of the glittery whatchamacallit boots that are popular now. They do run sales with %'s off and staff is really helpful. Pay attention to the tags, if there is a 'Z' at the end of the item number then it is a factory defect (some are stamped on the inside). Some are just mismatched leather, crooked decorative threading, etc. But make sure to try on BOTH the left and right for consistent fit. I got a pair that was tighter in one ankle, but they were happy to return. Women's selection is great, and they have plenty of mens & kids boots and work boots too. Dear Sirs: I have been wearing Justin boots since the early 1970's. I had always found them to be comfortable, durable and fashionable. The quality was excellent for the money, however the last pair I purchased have turned out to be of poorer quality than the old acme boots of days gone by. I have owned these boots (style #2566) for about one year. I purchased them on-line, and was surprised at the poor appearance of when I received them. The size was supposed to be 9 1/2. They were almost too tight. I though fine, they will stretch as they break-in. They are still stretching and are now unwearable. In addition, when inspected closely the cut of the leather component was rough and poorly finished. Not at all what I expected of a $169.00 "Justin" boot. If I were in Your position, I would be appalled at the shoddy product you are selling as what used to be a fine product. I have 10 to 15 yr old Justin boot that still fit me better than this latest pair. I believe I have been ripped off with cheap Chinese boots instead of quality Justin boot i have always received previously. Shame on those persons for allowing a formerly fine product to slide to this junk level. I have to give you at least one star in order to submit my concern and I do not believe you deserve that. This company customer service just stinks. Really Bad. Here is my story. I purchased a pair of boots on line direct from Justin. $380.00 Quill boots. A few days later, they started the Christmas sale for the first holiday weekend. I called them and asked them for a 10% adjustment as that was the deal they had going. They told me, "No, we can't do that." I said, "Gee, after a lifetime of buying Justin Boots, you are gong to treat me this way?" (30 Years) They said they were sorry and never made an effort. So, I sent a follow up e-mail. They replied that they had put a tracking number on my boots and I had to wait 30 days to get them found and that was how long Fedex needed to do it's investigation. What? I had the stupid boots and they are tracking them as lost! So, I wrote back, explained to them my issue again. They again told me, "Sorry." I said I could have gotten them at the Boot Barn for $50.00 cheaper and they told me they don't match prices! What!? So, I sent another e-mail telling them that if they don't find a way to give me the stupid 10% adjustment, they would lose a 30 year customer, plus my family and all my western club friends. So, they sent me back another note and told me they could not help me. So, good bye Justin. I hope it was worth it. What terrible service for a 30 year client. Complete waste of time. I expected much better from a boot store in Fort Worth. It seems like many of the boots are rejects, mis - sized, or otherwise defective. The staff was extremely rude and almost obnoxious. The selection was smaller than expected. My wife found a pair she liked, but the prices are much too high for the quality. Most of their product is imported from China...which I will not buy. But, I don't think I would have purchased anything anyway, given the staff's demeanor. read more
