Very calming, nice decor and lots of art. All of the women that I talked to at the front desk (and pretty much every other person i encountered there) were very friendly. Everyone seemed happy to be there, like they actually liked their jobs. And Dr. Horwitz was the BEST! He has the greatest bed side manner I've ever experienced. The whole time he was very pleasant and joked around. He made me feel at ease, which is nice when you're about to go under the drill. He was also very quick - 5 cavities in around an hour, when my old dentist would have done 4 cavities in 2 hours. I'll definitely be coming back if I can. I am going through alot in my personal life & this visit had me more anxious than when I found out my complete 3rd degree heartblock, my incarcerated hernia or even my right lung PE. I was so nervous that it made me physically ill. I am not a worrier, except for today. I asked Dr Gray how he was feeling and told him that I said a prayer for him and his crew. Initially I had alot of pain but I am 11 hours post op and the bleeding has stopped and I have very little pain. His staff really make you feel as if they are a member of your family. Everyone is kind, gracious and caring. I couldn't recommend Dr Gray enough. And just like that last time, Keisha called after I had been home for a bit to see how I was doing. I was apprehensive as I had only heard painful stories about root canals. Dr Kyu was very knowledgeable and put my fears at ease. Also, knowing that I had to get this done, I put my fears aside. The day of the procedure, Dr Kyu made sure to ask if I had any other questions. During the procedure I was always expecting to feel some pain but it never came. Other than a few pricks from a needle to numb the area I didn't feel any pain at all. And even those weren't that bad! Also, throughout the procedure he made sure to check if I was doing well. I had the same experience with the follow up cleaning and finishing of the root canal. Overall, a very painless experience. They also accept Delta Dental along with many other insurance providers. I wanted to thank Dr Kyu and his staff again and I do highly recommend his services and expertise!

I would strongly recommend that anyone with darker skin avoid this office and continue using the Norfolk location instead, where I have always been treated with dignity and respect. Today, I was told to come into the office, only to be informed--after I arrived--that I had a balance and they could not see me. No one asked whether I could pay the balance, nor did they mention that this would prevent my appointment. I have an HSA card and could have taken care of the balance immediately, but the way they handled the situation completely dismissed that possibility as I no longer wanted to trust them with my care!!! To make matters worse, they announced that I needed to step into the back for a "financial issue" in front of everyone in the lobby, which was both unprofessional and embarrassing--especially considering I have not been to this office in two years. Their assumption that I had no ability to pay, and the overall treatment I received, felt discriminatory. I have never been treated this way at the Norfolk location. This experience was unacceptable, and others deserve to be aware of how this location conducts itself. Wish I could give zero stars.
