A friend of mine also used their service today and was quoted $650. He already had everything packed and they finished earlier than expected but they charged him over $1,000. I highly recommend looking elsewhere. I found another company that'll finish the move for 1/3 the price. They did do a good job packing, I think, but the estimate has nothing g to do with what they actually charge. Now that we've unpacked, I found that they did not do a good job packing. They placed live plants in boxes upside down. I asked them to be careful with my son's chess set, but they wrapped the pieces together causing damage to most of them.

They did not shrink wrap all of furniture so when his helper Mike stacked a short bookshelf and my nightstand on their dolly and it fell, the nightstand was damaged to where one of the drawers is not operable, will not open. He promised multiple times he would take care of the damaged item. That was 12/14/24 and it is now 3/6/25. Now he is not communicating with me, did not respond to my calls, stop responding to my text messages. I did not want to provide a bad review so I waited and waited and waited. Now I'm just mad and disappointed. If I had read his company reviews and BBB complaints before I scheduled my move with Ken, I would have spent my money, including the tip I gave, else where. They asked me to pay a $99 booking fee so I did. Yesterday I picked up my keys to the apartment and found the unit to be in a horrible state. With disgusting odor of Indian food. A catastrophe. I immediately reached out to Betos to tell them of the emergency and asked them to please work with me to reschedule for when the unit is properly ready. This is one day before the scheduled move which is supposed to be today. The state of the unit was uninhabitable. I could not in good conscience MOVE my stuff into the unit. The person immediately said I will have to pay another $99 booking fee despite me sharing the details of my situation. I asked them to consider the fact that I'm already dealing with this emergency and cannot afford to pay yet another fee. He said "please understand this is a business" What I understand is the lack of customer service and human decency. Even though I'm experiencing a major emergency situation that is not my fault.
