They used to have all sorts of wacky promo nights (bald guys night? Awful night - where they played the worst songs ever and had the worst fireworks show in LB. It rocked!) Now...well. Someone lost their creativity. They do have Jose Lima, I'll give them that, but some of the fun seems to have disappeared. As have a lot of the 2-for-1 ticket promos. Plus, $2 beers on Thursdays are only available before the game begins now. Hmph. Perhaps I'll check out another game this year, but I dunno, just doesn't seem worth the $8 these days.

Neither of us really likes baseball all that much, but I've been in hokey hijinks withdrawal since our last and final Ice Dogs game. We were drawn by the schedule we got in the mail, which listed a bunch of neat little events like Bark in the Park (bring your dog to game for free) and Fireworks Night. The schedule in the mail also had a 2 for 1 coupon, so our evening of baseball and hokey hijinks only cost $8. And sure enough, between each inning there was some kind of ridiculous entertainment. There was an endless supply of children to cheer for in these little competitions, one of which included throwing toilet seats. A young couple who won a balloon popping contest got their choice of a restaurant gift card or a gift certificate for an adult store; they chose the adult store money. Somehow, 8-year-olds throwing toilet seats and upper-teens rejoicing in kinky store prizes seemed sort of irreconcilable. The guy in the press box was a little overzealous with the sound effects. And the blind guy sitting right below the press box was a little overzealous with the heckling. But all in all, it was an enjoyable spectacle of equal parts baseball and people-watching. Oh yeah, and the Armada won so that was cool.

This place is a joke…read more My friend and I were interested in checking out their mixed martial arts classes that are offered three times a week (although Wednesday doesn't count, because it's "conditioning," which basically entails dragging a huge tire by ropes across the gym floor as exercise - something I can set up in my backyard, replete with random bricks and all the spare junk I have back there.) First off, there is no lot parking there - only street parking. I like my car, so it's no wonder this was a huge turnoff. As if it's not bad enough this part of town is not exactly savory, I just don't want to be concerned about my car being on cinder blocks. Not a dealbreaker, but still a thought. We didn't have a problem parking at 8PM, but it wasn't empty out there, either. We spoke to a few guys there - I think his name was Roy (or some other three-letter moniker), who does MMA fighting - cool dude. Because they've only made their facility public within the last year or so they were actively trying to recruit women and youths to the gym. Being of the female gender did have its perks as far as price went, but there is no locker room there for either male or female. It was rather bare bones, with floor mats, punching bags, the huge spare tire, a boxing ring and MMA fighter ring. I didn't get a chance to check out the MMA class that night (we went on jiu jitsu night) but the cardio kickboxing instructor told us we could try a session of his cardio kickboxing class for free. We observed the jiu jitsu class, which involved a lot of headlocks a la crotch - hmm, not my style. Roy pointed out they'd just signed up a new female member to the jiu jitsu class. We waited through most of the class to see what she'd be doing. All she did was stand there (in some tapered tights that did no favors to her figure no less) and talk to the guys, which begs the question as to whether they simply recruit warm bodies for a membership fee and wait for them to one day get motivated. My friend made plans to go back to observe their MMA class, but came back the next day to find it canceled. The guys told her it'd resume the following week so she went back again, and found that it was canceled. A guy there told her the MMA instructor was out of the country ("didn't you know?") I wanted to give this place some much needed business, but it was very hard. How can I expect to lose weight when classes are never in session? What a waste of my time. I'd rather roll myself over to 24 hour fitness and pay less for more amenities.

As a Dodger fan since i was little, I've been a fan since before they even won the 2020 World Series! I really like Dodger Stadium or UNIQLO Field at Dodger Stadium when I found out they removed CPK i was like whaaaatt? But now looking back? I think that was a pretty smart move lmao, i like these new additions, we got Japanese food now since we have Yamamoto, ohtani, and sasaki. Also the dodger dogs are PEAK man can never go wrong with a dodger dogs. If you don't know dodger dogs are hot dogs lol but they're super good! And the Dodgers themselves are awesome too! Every time i see them it's a fun time! Definitely the best part of the game is hearing the I Love LA win song after they win home games. Let's go Dodgers!!

In honor of Pitchers and Catchers reporting this week, it felt like a great time to take ya'll out to the ball park. 5/5 Renovations Love that you can walk around the whole stadium. The center field area behind the pavilion seats is accessible and the added entrances make it easier to get in and around the ballpark. 5/5 Service Staff has always been very hospitable. From giving directions to answering questions. They are great with little kiddos too. They have elevators on the side if you have a wheel chair or walker (if you can walk please use the stairs). 4/5 Bathrooms Changing Tables are limited, they do have family restrooms but the lines can get longer than some batters hitting slumps. 4/5 Parking First timers it can get confusing depending on which parking lot you purchased. I suggest looking online so you can plan which entrance to use that will get you to your designated lot quickly. 5/5 Family Value Overall I've had great experiences at this ball park. From regular season to post season it gets crowded. The cost can go up depending on where you like to view the game but stay on the west side (3rd base side) to avoid the sunset in your eyes. Can't wait to get back to a ball game with my family. Cause its 1, 2, 3 Strikes your out at the old ball game... Psalm 24:8, God bless
