I got a full refresh on my 2018 340i. car was overheating and misfiring last minute before i got here. i had to changed oil filter housing ,valve cover, old pipes, new inner cooler and many more. their were able to tackled all in within 1month or so and top of that parts was the longest wait. Note; their shop was insanely filled with other cars and insanely busy. Story time It was a Saturday night out celebrating a friend's birthday. I'm on the 210 West heading back home when tragedy struck. Saving the details of what happened, I can tell you that I was definitely planning on starving myself a few days so I can pay up at a dealership but I desperately took the chance to ask around this time. Out of the 5 shops I inquired, SGV Automotive was the only ones who shown genuine interest and care. David checked up on me to see if I was okay and we then scheduled for an appointment and luckily they were extremely flexible with my scheduling for a quick diagnosis and scheduled a timeline for expectations. I show up the very next day. Two gentleman comes up to me and immediately gets to work with diagnosing and communicating with me. I've never seen such transparency. From past experiences my expectation was: give the key, sit in a waiting room for an hour, debate about buying a snack, wait another hour for them to get started, then thrown with paperwork before knowing what even was the diagnosis. Current experience: communication, care, collaboration, education, reassurance, any most importantly transparency. They helped get me to a rental place and picked me up as well. The first time it was stolen, I honestly wished we had come here first to have a catalytic converter shield installed. After the second theft, I reached out to Mike's Muffler and spoke with Marty on the phone. I probably called him about 10 times with all my questions and concerns because I was so stressed about getting it replaced. Marty was incredibly patient, gave me a fair quote, and educated us about the replacement catalytic converter. He never pressured us into choosing a specific option and completely understood that I needed to get my car taken care of as soon as possible. When I arrived at the shop with my tow truck driver, Marty immediately took care of my car. He sat me down and reassured me that the parts and paperwork should not cause any issues with the DMV or smog check. That was one of my biggest concerns, so hearing that definitely gave me some peace of mind. While I waited a few hours, everyone at Mike's Muffler worked together to get my car taken care of. Oscar, Jose, and Alejandro were all working as a team, and they got me in and out as quickly as possible. They even let me take pictures of the replacement and see the underside of my car, which I really appreciated. It's been two years since I had work done here on my 2020 g20. I had carbon fiber mirror caps,…read morepassenger side mirror motor replaced and front splitter installed here. They charged me $500 for this work. Originally it was $400 but I asked for the front splitter installed and that was another $100. I just felt like I was taking advantage off. To top it off the mirror caps wasn't installed correctly and I had another mechanic fix it. Anyways I found another mechanic that has been working on my car and wife's car that I fully trust. Not a rip off like this place. I didn't want to write this review but it's been nagging the hell out of me for how much I was charged for. He also suggested I should change my oil filter housing at 48k miles with no signs of coolant/oil leakages. Yes these are known to fail but no issues yet and I'm at 60k miles now. He said $1600 for OFH. My current mechanic can do for $1100 OE parts. My current mechanics has 8 lifts and are always busy, so no not some run of the mill shop that is low quality. Hope this helps someone out there. Edit: The owner sent me a fake invoice saying the job was $200. It was not $200. I was charged $500. I paid cash. Very petty man, now I'm super glad I posted this review.
