I picked him up and he had been de-shedded, nails AND his paws were trimmed!!! Some customers might be happy about getting a service they didn't pay for. If the de-shedding, nail and paw trim was what my dog needed AND it was a job well done, I might feel differently. But that is NOT the case! De-shedding issue: My Golden does NOT have the long, flowing "typical" Golden fur. His is fur is fine and short, it just doesn't grow much and does NOT to be de-shedded!! It finally had just gotten long enough this past year that it layed down. Now, it's sticking up every where, gets tiny tangles, is a shaggy mess! Nail trim and Trimmed paw issue: When I say, they trimmed his paws, you can see where they just snipped the "grinch fur" sticking up on the top of his paws, not that they did a nice trim job and blended the fur etc. Some Golden owners might not like the "grinch feet" but I am not one of them! The nails didn't even need a trim, now they have jagged edges!! The paw trim was not a job well done and was NOT a service I asked for!! My biggest issue though, is getting a service I DID NOT ask for or want!! WHY were grooming tools even near my dog when I ONLY ordered a basic bath?? I have sent an email asking a manager or owner to call me to discuss this. I have also called multiple times asking to speak to someone in charge or call me and nothing!! It's been a week now, No response to my email and no call back. So this is my first negative review EVER! So at this point, all I can say is, DO NOT GO HERE if you want any level of professional customer service or if you want any service that is what you asked for and looks good!

She has seen both of my fur babies - Milo and Donny - throughout their life from the puppy stage through their senior years. Her approach and interaction with animals is such a joy to see. She has a wealth of knowledge and I have a high level of trust and confidence in her ability to provide the best care. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients. She is Family. The staff (past and present) is so kind and patient. Avery, Linda, Meg, Roger, Kate, Amanda, and Celeste were there at the drop of a hat to answer questions about my fur baby. We also got the chance to know Chad and Lauren. We lost Milo to bladder cancer at the age of 13 on December 3, 2015. He no longer had a quality of life, so we made the difficult decision to send him over the Rainbow Bridge. I felt like I lost a piece of me that day. Dr. Michalk's Office was so empathetic and caring. They let us spend as much time as we wanted with him. If it hadn't been for Dr. Michalk communicating with other vets, Donny would not have received the wonderful Medical care at the facilities where he was admitted. It all began with a tooth root abscess. We were referred to Dr. Donnelly at VEI Plano. He was then referred to MEDVET and then VCA Specialty Hospital where he had, as recently as Mid-March, been receiving radiation treatments which were going well until last week. He was admitted to VCA on Friday morning, May 1st for low platelets, lethargy, and lack of appetite. Upon Friday's ct scan, it showed several tumors in his abdomen, spleen, and perforations in his colon. On May 1, 2026, we made the difficult decision to send him over the Rainbow Bridge, given his rapidly deteriorating condition over the course of that day. I am heartbroken.

There seemed to be awareness and a far better groomer was in place by early this year. But the front desk personnel... seemed always a new person and that became a real challenge. Experienced a few surprises when it came to final price vs original quote. Our observation is the new hires were not trained well prior to being on the floor and working with customers. Inaccurate price quotes, several booking mistakes, etc. After navigating a challenging phone call with yet another new person to simply book an appointment, I received a voice message from the owner stating they would no longer take us as customers. She cited behavior from that morning (I called around 4pm) and she stated she hadn't viewed the camera footage...?!? Again I had simply called and neither me nor my spouse had stepped foot in there in the prior 30 days. The owner invited a call back which I took her up on within 15 minutes of her phone call. She didn't answer, I left a message and she never bothered to return my call. Please see photo of the owner's voicemail transcript. My take: employees are likely treated similarly hence the constant churn and turnover. Beware!

It was quite obvious at our visit that she has a great deal of experience with this breed having been a long time owner and lover of these little weenie dogs. We adored her so much at his first puppy visit that we decided to take our other two to her as well. I was incredibly impressed with her demeanor, thoroughness and knowledge. I am someone who does extensive research on things and everything I had come across she basically mentioned or was well informed on, especially specific to the dachshund breed, including breed specific issues, prevention and wellness, waiting to neuter to enhance protection of their spine from IVDD, etc. Her love for the breed and animals in her care was so apparent - I've never been this fond of a vet and we've had several over the years. Our pup wagged his tail the whole time and was not scared of the experience. The tech and front desk staff were all incredibly kind, so sweet to our dogs, and went above and beyond. After Nash' second puppy visit they let us hang out in the room over lunch to wait out any vaccine reactions, not to mention our sweet tech helped cut the Benadryl pill for us and grabbed some cheese they use for shots to help him take it. Our visit with our older rescue went just as well when we took him for a concern - she was so patient and sweet with him as he is a very anxious little guy. Just can't say enough good things 11/10 experience so far!!
