HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. My dog was mistreated over Christmas. He lost 6lbs in 7 days!!!! Extremely unhealthy. They told me he was eating though he was only eating the wet food they gave him... even though I told them Duke has a sensitive stomach to not give him anything other than what I packed. Never got a call telling me he wasn't eating. He had a cough when I took him home and I thought it was from barking in the kennel?? idk?? Never had a dog with kennel cough but that's what Duke has now. They didnt inform me ANYTHING: not that he wasn't eating, that he was coughing, that he had a bloody paw, etc. They told me they took 70 dogs..... not the move. Booked over a month in advance for over Christmas. Place looked nice online. I'm not local so couldn't take a tour of the place and figured would be offered a tour when I dropped my girl off. I was not offered that when I arrived and got the feeling from them that wasn't going to happen even if I asked. Now let me say they were nice at drop off and pick up. I asked for them to have a trainer observe her for behavior and get back to me. I will say while I was there I spoke to a lady that maybe was the trainer and maybe that's why I wasn't called on the observation (not sure). My dog does have high allergies but has prescriptions which were provided to this center and believe she was given them but when I picked her up and got her to the truck I noticed red ankles on all four legs this would explain why she didn't want her nails trimmed. Let me explain I paid for a groom and nail trim and she has never given issues in doing this but was told she let them trim her front nails but not back. I thought this is weird and even said as much to the lady. When I got her to the truck blood red ankles and front mail were so short the quick was sticking out slivered and had to take a nail file to round them so they would t splinter even more which she didn't like because as I said the were short. I will say also when I dropped her off this place did have a high odor of urine almost like ammonia smell. I'm a truck driver and hadn't been home to see my family for four months and can't fly with my dog because of her behavior. I was flying out the next day and it's Christmas and didn't feel I would find anyone else to take her. Like I said they were nice and felt comfortable with them other than the smell but it's a kennel. Summary of my visit ammonia smell, red ankles (which I believe either from unclean kennels or astroturf that is the only place they have for the dogs to go to the bathroom, short nails, also has kennel cough and had to have it before I picked her up and no mention of it, oh forgot to mention it looks like she picked up ring worm and found a bug in between her toes pictures below. Horrible experience at pick up!! I confirmed a late pick up due to my flight getting in at 4, was assured I can pick my dog up before 7. I got there and doors were locked and Noone answered the phone. The only reason I knew a employee was there was because I heard her YELLING AT THE DOGS so I knocked on the door, she eventually answered and said they are closed, she yelled at my twice when I asked her to call a manager and slammed the door in my face. Finally she came out with a different tone and apologized for the inconvenience and that someone misinformed me about 7 pm and the manager was on the way. Our dog has gone through two of the training camps and attended their doggy daycare several times over the last couple of years. Brad was great at working with her in the training camps and explaining to us what happened over the course of the camps. He answered all our questions and gave us paperwork on the theory behind the training. The staff is knowledgable, kind, and willing to help or advise on different issues I'm having with my dog. I really like their intentionality in their doggy daycare, as they do more than just put her around other dogs. My dog, Oliver, has always been a bit of a nervous guy. As he's gotten older, this increased into anxiety which the vet began treating him for. When I started a new job that was further from my home, I had to look into daycare options so that Oliver could have supervision and bathroom breaks. Starting daycare at 13 years old with anxiety did not seem ideal, but Cosmic Canine has proven that to be quite the opposite. I tried other places, and they seemed to make Oliver more stressed. With Cosmic Canine, Oliver is happy at both dropoff and pickup. The staff are kind and communicative. They really take into account his age and energy level to ensure he is placed in the right playgroup. They have helped Oliver become comfortable with being handled by new humans and being around other dogs. He barks less at home, is more cooperative at the vet and overall just seems more content. My fiance and I went here for an evaluation for training for our 1-year-old shepherd mix pup. We had a very negative experience that I felt the need to share so others do not waste their time. The trainers evaluating him seemed miserable and did not want to be there. They barely even acknowledged us when we walked in. The facility was disgusting and very poorly managed, with the kennels looking even worse. Dogs were barking and growling everywhere and it was a very overwhelming environment. I would never send mine or anyone I knows dog here. There are plenty of other places that are much nicer for $3000. read more

i have 2 English Bulldogs which are really hard to train. I can not say how happy I am with the results. We brought our 12 week old retriever puppy here for the two week board and train. She is so sweet but was biting our 7 year old in an effort to get him to play (playful biting but still scared him). She also was showing signs of anxiety and overattachment. CC worked with her and built her confidence up amazingly! I didn't know puppies that young could learn sit, down, settle, place, etc. She was so attentive to her trainer Ty, who was so patient with me in our one-on-one training session. She comes back a happy dog with her spirit intact but with new skills under her belt, er collar...I am so pleased with this place and will be going to their weekend training sessions for alums as well as board her there in the future. If we lived closer, we'd absolutely do daycare. My only complaint (and it's a selfish one!) is that I wish they were located in Dallas vs. Plano. I'm REPOSTING because the organization deleted my original 1 star review; I have a one year old Australian shepherd who needs a little help with leash etiquette and off the leash training. I spoke with someone about the day school they offer and he suggested I bring him in for an evaluation to see what plan would be best for him. He called me back with an appointment time for Saturday to bring my dog in. When we pull up, the first turn off was that were are SUV's parked outside that are full of crates of dogs in them barking their heads off. The cars were not on and no one was out there with them. Personally, I would not be happy to find out if I left my dog there for day school that he was just left outside in a crate for who knows how long. Anyone could have come up to those cars and just taken the dogs right out of them and no one would know. But we went ahead and went inside to check out the facility. The second turn of- the receptionist. She looked like she hated her life and she hated what she does. She didn't greet us in any way as we stood at the front desk waiting to check in. She then looked at us with her resting bitch face like we were inconveniencing her for being there. We told her we had an appointment and she said okay. As we were waiting, our nervous dog went potty on their rug- she got up from the desk, took a look and said "ugh that always happens" as she kept walking. Thank goodness I had doggie bags on me because she never offered us one, nor was there any around us. We stood there for 5 minutes feeling like a complete inconvenience and unwelcome so we just said sorry we changed our minds and left. Not really sure how this place has the rating it does, aside from maybe the training is spot on and the fact they delete their negative reviews like they did with my original post. But we'll never know because based off of dogs being left outside in crates alone and the receptionist who I guess had better things to do than her job, we'd never allow our dog to come here. Literally the first thing you see when you walk in is her and that's how she treats customers. What a disappointment. read more
