I stopped in at this salon to see if anyone was available for a consultation. The receptionist set…read moreme up with Brian. I previously had gone to another high end salon in Coconut Grove. I thoroughly did my research reading all the reviews and set up a consultation with the owner figuring I was in good hands. I left after our consultation feeling confident that we were on the same page. There were a couple of red flags though, he said I should go blonde and that women should have long flowing hair. I have an edgy bob undercut. Shorter hair suits me best and it's me! I left his salon with uneven extremely brassy highlights after showing him many photos of what I wanted. Again he said yes, of course. I went into his salon with damaged hair from highlights previously done at another salon and left with even more over processed hair. Needless to say they lost a client. This brings me to R&H. Brian took the time to listen to me and was honest with me in that he didn't want to lighten my hair at this point because of the state my hair was in. We talked about our options and decided to do a gloss. From the beginning he said due to the different colors and unevenness of my hair, the gloss would add shine and tone down the brassiness. While it's not where I want my hair to be, it's a work in progress and for now I'm treating it with Olaplex and hair masks. My hair is shinier and softer. I appreciated Brian's honesty and candor and plan to visit him in the near future.

I don't get my brows done every month, more like every quarter. What impressed me from my initial visit was that Dani really took the time to plot out the shape of the brows. They offer waxing and threading, but I opt for waxing. For my recent trip, I decided to add lamination and tint. WOW - what a difference that made. I chose to do this because I was going on a trip, and thought it would be nice to have my brows look ready to go at all times, especially when I would be in the beach/pool most of the time. I absolutely love how they came out, and have received tons of compliments about them. Will definitely be back! This spot is located on alcazar in the gabled tucked away kind of by the Banana berry smoothie shop and behind a barber shop on the main part of the street. Manuela who supposedly even teaches, sells herself as a professional eyebrow specialist. They're out to get your money. I paid $700 for a job that looks like $200. I will post photos of before getting my two lasers done and after which are the current brows from Miami Brow Bar. I've been doing my brows for over 25 years. My previous technician unfortunately moved so the need arose to find a new place. I found Miami Brow Bar on Instagram and saw she did a nice job. In discussing my situation with them, I was clear and provided the areas that needed repair and adjustments before making any appointment. They assured me that they could and would work with me. Although nervous, I decided to go ahead with the procedure. Once finished, Manuela, appeared nervous. She did a darker color than my actual hair color. She told me to wait until the retouch to adjust the color and shape. During the retouch it became clear she lacked experience and care. She made them worse. Since then I have sought different opinions on the work and all have returned the same verdict. "They ripped you off because the job is not correct " I hope this helps others not become victims of this incompetence and find another place.
