We had a whole house generator that was over 20 years old that had to be replaced. I got a few different quotes and K&B was the only company that recognized we already had a high-pressure gas meter installed, and that there was nothing wrong with the existing transfer switch or cabling, which saved us a big chunk of money compared to how we'd been quoted by other salespeople. Absolutely the worst company and customer service i have ever worked with. I do not have enough words to express how terrrible my experience has been with K&B. Hands down, absolutely the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I used K&B based on a recommendation from a friend and wholeheartedly regret it. Received competitive price for whole home Generac generator. The small amount of money I saved has cost me hours of heartache and frustration. The person who gave me the estimate assured me that the 24 kW generator I chose would cover my entire first floor and upstairs. It took two months to get on their schedule for installation, and the installation process was a disaster. The electrician needed to come out about three times, and ultimately they could only get about half of what they promised onto the generator. Close to nine months later, the generator has still not passed city inspection, and it's nearly impossible to get anyone from the office to answer phone calls after I paid in full. I've just lost power for the first time since installation, and it seems that the generator was never hooked up to the well/water pump. So I don't have running water, despite having paid for a 24KW generator. It's now day three without power, and the generator also entirely stopped working. So despite having a generator, I don't have running water and now the generator is not working at all. I can't get anyone on the phone and any answers. I will be looking for another company asap. read more

They installed our backup generator in 2017 and the crew was awesome. Routine service for the first couple years was outstanding. Came last year to do routine service and adjust the valves on the motor. Mysteriously two mo nths later we had to have the motor replaced. Took 2 months to get a motor. The service man was subpar. This month the warning lite came on for service. Called their 24/7 service number on a Saturday, 2/5/2022 and left a message. Left another message on Monday, 2/7/2022 and still no return call. They finally returned our call on Tuesday, 2/8/2022, late morning. No excuse for delayed call. On Tuesday, (before they called) we had already called another company to take care of service. The other company swiftly came on Wednesday (2/9/2022) and took care of us. Sorry K & B Energy. We will not be calling you in the future. read more

It all started with our very detailed Salesman, Steve Holcomb who previously gve us a guote a couple years earlier. We asked him back for a revised quote and he was very concerned to be as close to his original quote as possible. Once the agreement was signed, several weeks later, the installation team arrived. Scott, Nick and Nick were EXCELLENT! Based on the layout of our home and our finished basement ceiling having drywall there were a couple of significant challenges they immediately faced. Long story short, they began on a Tuesday and had to come back a few days later on a Saturday to complete the installation. The team were professional, kept the overall areas clean once finished. These guys came out right away and attempted to repair a really old system and suggested that we replace as the monies were much better spent replacing. We could not be happier. They showed up the next day with the new equipment and neatly installed the new air and furnace. The new units are quieter and we have much evener cooling throughout the house as they adjusted some of the vents as well. They did not leave until they were certain that all was well. They were careful not to track any dirt in or out and treated the house like it was their own. I would definitely use these guys again. Great experience working with K & B Energy Solutions. Best customer service I've experienced in a long time. I've never had to buy a furnace before and I heard about these guys on the Inside-Outside Guys radio show. When my really old furnace went out, I got an estimate from one company and then I got an estimate from Steve at K & B. I felt really comfortable asking questions, he was not pushy. He explained everything and I felt confident to go forward with K & B and I'm so glad I did! They follow through on what they tell you they will do and everyone I had contact with at the company was very helpful and polite. The guys who installed the furnace, Nick and Scott, were very thorough, made sure everything was working correctly and cleaned up everything before they left. And Jane, at the office was so pleasant and followed up with me regarding all the paperwork, warranty, inspection, etc. I truly appreciate a company who takes pride in doing things right. read more
