Rick and his team at K&H are outstanding, professional and knowledgable. I reached out for a few electrical projects that needed repaired or looked at and they were quick to respond and came right out. They completed all the items right away and were honest about what needed done vs just charging flat rates like "the other guys". Came out twice and did repairs costing $900. During second visit, the electrician damaged a water line. He sent me the part to order, and said to call him when it came in so he could finish electrical work in one room and install the line for me. It came a day later. I texted him and called the business several times. They said TH or Fri, then were a no show. I called Friday, they said Mon or Tues, no show again. After 11 days I called someone else. The water line was leaking the 11 days and the second electrician told me to hire a plumber and open a homeowners claim. I decided to text the person who came out one last time to see if he would take responsibility. He told me I was low priority and to never call him again. Now I'm out $900 and have to open a homeowners claim. read more

Highly recommend this company. They kindly replaced a box that held our chandelier( builder grade) which had come loose and could have fallen on us. He was very professional, friendly, and truly wanted to ensure I was happy with everything. I was home alone and felt very safe. He was extraordinarily clean and precise on the sconce placement. I am OCD and couldn't have placed them more perfectly myself. Also, Rick (the owner?) was SO accommodating. He was able to get someone out here before Thanksgiving when no one else could. He was also very fair in pricing. It was hard to nail him down at first for a quote because his company is so busy but it was worth being persistent because I'm so extraordinarily pleased with the job. Great work. A rental we own experienced a loss of power in several outlets and lights in the house. We tried to get an electrician that had worked on the house in the past but gave up as he was too busy. K&H was responsive and solved the problem. It took a great electrician to figure out the wiring and circuits. The house is an old cottage built in the 1920s. The wiring has been modified and extended by previous owners with little left behind in the way of how the circuits are laid out. The kitchen and bath issue turned out to be a problem from the add on feed from a bedroom. Great work K&H. read more

I had K&H do work at my house on 13 Feb 2020. They added 2 bathroom outlets, a bathroom fan, two recessed outlets behind two wall mounted flat screen TVs and one floor outlet. The first thing I noted is that they are very busy, emails are not answered. However, the phone is answered almost 100% of the time. We set up an estimate which took a few days to schedule, and the estimate was mailed to us and received within a week. We agreed to a price and the team showed up promptly when expected. The work went well for the most part but we had hiccups. First the fan that was installed was controlled by a humidity sensor and we had not requested this, other than that the fan was perfect, very quiet and powerful. Second during the installation of one of the TV outlets the young man accidently punched through the back of the wall into the stairwell leading to a finished basement. He pointed it out and said he would fix it. He attempted to fix it that day but you could still see the indentations. The young man said that he would come the next morning at 8am to fix it. The next day he did not show up until after 11am and worked on the wall. He left without my inspecting it and I had to call back as the indentions in the wall were still visible. I called the next Monday and mentioned the issue. They came out that day and fixed the wall to my satisfaction and configured the fan to our needs. All in all the service was good, but more importantly the customer service was solid. Things happen in projects like this, and what sets companies apart is how they handle those issues and follow up. This company is excellent! My family has been a customer of K&H for 10 years and have always received outstanding service and work. Recently we moved to a new home a half hour away from North Beach and needed to buy a generator. After getting 3 quotes it dawned on me that I should call K&H and see if they provided and installed generators. Not only was their price the least expensive, but I received a more powerful generator that worked perfectly. Rick explained to me the differences in all types and I am happy with the type I bought.
