Upon entry into my home, his professionalism showed. He gave me his business card and introduced himself accordingly. He got right down to business, which was asked questions and detected the area of concern. He then began to fix my pipe. Not only did he fix it in a timely manner, however, he also took the time to explain what took place and ways in which I can prevent this from happening in the future. Kudos to Herman Sykes and his company, Sykes Services! We found ourselves with a plumbing emergency Friday night, Nov. 3, 2023, when we found a pipe on our toilet was dripping and also spraying water up on the wall. it was after 10 pm, and we did a quick Google search on emergency plumbers. Thank goodness we found Sykes Services with over 300 5 star reviews. We called straight away to leave a message as instructed. Within minutes we were contacted. Then Herman came out within an hour and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently. Besides being knowledgeable and friendly, he's also trustworthy and has been in business over 20 years. Herman and his family did a great job supporting my wife and I installing a new touch kitchen faucet, a new bathroom faucet, four new shut off valves, and a water heater. They also helped to clear out the kitchen pipe to the sewer. Everything is working great! They are very professional, reliable, knowledgeable and they don't leave the job until the job is done and they clean the job sites up thoroughly. We understand automatic rain would also like to use them for their in-ground watering systems and handling back flows. We were so delighted with our experience with Herman at Sykes Services. We were trying to wrap up a bathroom sink install to meet a home refi timeline. Despite being busy and having a full schedule Herman fit us in. He was very clear about what would be required to complete the job and showed up on time as planned to complete the job. When the final install required an unplanned adjustment that Herman couldn't finish with his on-sight inventory he made it a priority to finish the next day. Toilet stopped working. Called Sykes Plumbing Services at 8:45. Herman, the owner, was at the house by 10:30. He diagnosed the problem, made the repair and had everything cleaned up by 11:30. This is a very professional business with reasonable prices and highly experienced staff. I love my water purification system they put when water was scarce during the beginning of the pandemic.
