This restaurant was recommended to us several weeks ago and we decided to try it since we found that our destination restaurant was closed. We will be returning to K & L Asian Restaurant! The server, whose name was Kam, was most gracious, and did his best to make sure we made knowledgeable choices about what we ordered, and he was attentive after we had our order. My partner had the chicken noodle soup, and it had such a fabulous broth and was full of noodles and shredded chicken. I had to have several spoonfuls of it myself. I chose the vermicelli with beef and an eggroll. Each table was equipped with soy sauce, sriracha, chili pepper oil, and Hoisin sauce. The overall lighting, ambiance, and cultural appeal of the restaurant is pleasant. I noticed that we had quality (not wooden) chopsticks instead of American utensils, but I'm sure they have forks for the picky or clumsy folks. I cannot eat Asian food without using chopsticks; it just isn't the same. His soup featured one of those lovely china/porcelain spoons with a glorious absence of metal. Possibly the only thing about this entire meal I could offer suggestion for improvement is the tiny scrumptious eggroll could have been larger. However, the servings overall were generous and reasonably priced. I even have a small to-go box of noodles for tomorrow. Additionally, I got to try my very first BOBA tea! I am not sure why they call it tea because it's more like a slushy with those little Boba balls and a wide straw. There are 15 different flavors offered, including avocado (which I was not brave enough to try). I had banana, and it was very good. I thought it mildly pricey at $4.50 but novelty drinks usually have novelty prices. I really wish we had visited this restaurant before, but as I said, we will be returning. I was concerned because there were only a couple other tables during our entire visit, although it was toward closing time on a Tuesday evening. Greeted immediately and able to sit wherever we wanted. The lighting is right, dark but light enough to see your food. We had shrimp tempura, wonton soup, and orange chicken. All the food seemed very fresh and made to order. The wonton soup was delicious. I want to remember this place for pickup, as I saw many people picking up food. There is no alcohol served here. This is a diverse Asian style restaurant. We had pad thai with beef, Pho ga (they call chicken noodle soup, and Pot sticker (they call wontons) over all the price was reasonable, with tip it was $50 for the 2 of us. We were pleasantly surprised with the taste of each of the dishes we got. Service was typical when english is a second language, but with a little patience, we worked thru it talking restaurant english only and no other small talk (if you understand what i am trying say), so the service was ok. Very surprised I didn't realize this nice restaurant was in the neighborhood. It feels cozy and the wait staff is kind and attentive. In other words it's much nicer than I expected. Best Pho in Bowling Green! I've been here a few times over the last few years and it was pretty ok but this time I was blown away! the perfect amount of everything, came out piping hot, the sides were so fresh with lots of Thai basil, the broth was perfect and the meat delicious, much better than I've had at any other pho place in bowling green. I also got a Taro Boba and it was so thick and creamy and the bobas were perfectly chewy. They should be much busier than they were tonight! read more

We decided to try this place again since it has a different name and owners. It's the same. The Pho Ga tastes like Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup. None of the pho seasonings used. The summer rolls (spring rolls) are pretty much ALL noodles. The sauce is very runny and wasn't enough for one of the rolls, much less both. My husbands ramen tasted like peanuts and not authentic ramen. We won't be back. read more

When I walked in to the restaurant, the air felt cool - it was quiet, calm, and empty. No music playing, nothing on the TV. The menu is concise and the prices are somewhat reasonable. I have been to this restaurant a few times by now and while having been eager to finally chance upon some Vietnamese cuisine (something that doesn't seem too common in Bowling Green, or Kentucky in general), I am always slightly disappointed in the item I come here to get, Beef Pho. They always scrimp on the meat, regardless of the type of meat. Even if I sub out another type of meat for double of another, I still get a portion that barely seems to be reasonable for even a single portion of meat. The broth always has the distantly looming taste of rot, and doesn't last into the next day if you take it home. The noodles are on the cheaper side and disintegrate/get gross-mushy pretty quick. I really love Asian cuisine, especially Vietnamese, and I've been fortunate to have gotten to sample it from all over the country. I have to give this place three stars - you'll get the bare bones of what you expect to get, small amounts for the price. It will ultimately be good... enough, but there are some setbacks. These setbacks don't necessarily deter me from going there completely, it is just something that has sadly become an extremely rare thing for me. Each time I order Pho from here, it simply makes me miss the Pho I have had elsewhere and long for actual Pho, as opposed to just being enthused and enthralled by its deliciousness. And to add, the times I have gotten the pho with multiple types of meat, it is always meager amounts of really cheap meat that was frankly gross. Sometimes it was just chunks of hard fat, not edible. It can be gnarly looking. So I would recommend getting the regular Beef Pho (sub out the "meatballs" and hope you get more than 5 1x1 pieces of dry meat!) because the 2 or 3 extra dollars for mystery meat is not worth it! read more

We ended up here because the first couple Chinese restaurants we wanted to check out were not offering done-in service, and I'm really glad for it. The food was fantastic. Everything tasted wonderful and had a fresh, clean flavor. The fried dumplings were very crispy, they are not pan fried, but deep fried, the filling was delicious though. This was our first restaurant on our trip to Bowling Green - definitely worth the stop if you are in town. The boys wanted to get some nice fried rice and noodles so this was the closest place to our hotel right off the main street in town. We were pleasantly surprised to see a semi full restaurant in town since most places require masks and have shortened hours. The shrimp rolls and dumplings were really good and you could tell they were freshly prepared as we ordered them. The friend rice was good and the pho was really good. Lot's of meat and a ton of noodles in the bowl which added to the great value of the dish. The only odd dish were the fried noodles, there was some sort of fish sauce which I have never experienced on a dish like that. It was so fishy none of us could eat it so diner beware. We finished the meal with boba tea and those were super good. We will definitely be back next time we are in town to visit Mammoth Cave! read more

Great food fast great service for reasonable price there's only one tiny little problem and it may not have to do with the restaurant as much as the information that I have seen on here. It took me a bit to find it because I assumed based on the address that it was out in the boondocks. The address I see on here for it is 1640 Old Scottsville Road. The correct address is 1640 Scottsville Road. There's a big difference because old Scottsville Road is out in the country and connects with a section of the road much further out in the country. That's sort of an accuracy might cause them to potentially lose business if people try to search them out from here. But basically it is right in the middle of Bowling Green on Scottsville Road over near Bowling Green Athletic Club, BAC and just a hair behind Steak and Shake which is clearly visible from the road. Anyway I felt compelled to put this information in here in order to make sure that it got corrected wasn't aware of any other way to do so. read more

Ok so for this year one of my goals was to go to a restaurant by myself and sit. Well when I walked into the store I just went ahead and sat down. Service was really good i got done green tea, summer spring roll, beef noodle pho and the spicy tuna roll. And yes I sat there and ate the whole thing. Moved from a 5 to a 1. NEW OWNERS have RUINED THE PLACE. Don't keep the name Pho, when you can't make it & are serving people watered down beef & chicken broth. Pho BC "used to be" one of my favorite places in BG. I was straight up addicted to the Pho Beef Noodle Soup, Fresh Wrapped Shrimp Spring Rolls & Beef or Pork Vermicelli. Sometimes I would have it 2-3 times a week. NO MORE!! Now its gross!! Trust me, don't waste your money. New owners took over a few months ago & its nowhere near the same restaurant. I took a friend to try it since I had been raving to her about it & we both hated it. I order my favorite things to share with her & they were all terrible. The fresh spring rolls were skimpy, no basil, and wilted instead of fresh. The Pho beef & meatball soup was the worst I've ever had anywhere, no seasoning or flavor....it tasted like watered down chicken broth & had way less veggies than normal & some not at all. I tried to salvaged it by adding extra siracha & hoisin....like 4-5 times. It was so bad I sent it back. I thought i was exchanging it for the Beef & Ginger which wouldn't have filled up a toddler tiniest meal ever for 10.95. T.I.N.Y. When I got my bill the soup was still on there( its the only thing I complained about & was even super nice about it, saying that it was very different than normal & it was so bland I couldn't eat it). The new waitress got pissed at me & told me i was paying for it cause ordered it. When i proceeded to explain how many times I'd had that same meal there & how very different it was, she explained that it was now new owners & that they aren't Vietnamese, but that they were "Trying" to make the same menu. WHAT!!! You want me to pay for your crap ass soup when you know its awful, but you need to practice?? I don't think so!! The owner came out & was totally rude & told the waitress she'd have to pay for it. I refused & they finally removed it from my bill. TRUST ME!!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR $$. Fantasy little Asian Restaurant! Took a chance on this place one night when I really want some Asian-inspired soup or pho or ramen, and this place did not disappoint. Their Chicken Noodle Soup was nice and hot while also being super flavorful. Their fried rice dishes are also great and well prepared. They are also one of the few places that Boba in BGKY. Their Boba is good but it is thick like a milkshake and not as much like a tea. Overall, this was a great find and I would call it a Gem. I can't recommend this place enough. read more

The Pho was not good at all. That broth was LIGHT and especially for beef broth, it shouldn't be light yellow. Literally no seasoning. The "meatball" tasted like rubber, I literally spit it out it was so disgusting. It looks like plastic. Like biting into a bouncy ball that tastes like dog crap. I really wanted to love this place but even the Thai basil and the sprouts were wilted! A waste of $10. Only nice thing I can say is the staff are very nice and polite. With a Purple Taro Bubble Drink and Shrimp Fried Rice in my hands from this place makes me a very satisfied lady. There are several other things on the menu worth mentioning but I won't. I have found that each establishment has that special significant dish that wakes you up at night craving. That's these two items. Can't get enough! The Taro Bubble Drink, I order without the balls. The balls add no real flavor to the drink and although they add that fun, chewy element, I prefer mine without. The drink is a frozen milkshaky kind of drink that has a different mix of flavors. Taro is a root vegetable in the potato family and is widely used all over the world. The initial taste is like a floral vanilla with notes of nuttiness. Quite tasty. A must try. Their shrimp fried rice. I know, you think, aw I've had fried rice before they are all the same. Yeah but this one has that craved umami we all love. The shrimp is cut up so you may not even realize how much shrimp is in it. It is served with a few slices of cucumber and a little pile of sweet carrot and ? white strips that are refreshing to clean your palate every few bites. Rice is served perfectly with egg and peas that I can distinguish and of course the chopped shrimp. I have a craving for this at least once a week. This is served with a small bowl of broth that tastes okay but not my fave. No matter, the shrimp fried rice stands alone very well. Employees are always so courteous and efficient. I Love this Vietnamese restaurant. The food is spot on, very authentic! They advertised NO MSG on their food and sure enough NO MSG at all. How can I can tell, well my body just tells me so. All of their food on the menu is a must, can't go wrong with any one of them. For first time Vietnamese food eaters out there who would like to try, don't be afraid to ask the servers what the food is about because the servers are very helpful and very nice. We had both Pho Ga (chicken) and Pho Tai Bo Vien (steak and meatball). Seriously anemic, single-note and bland broth, although the beef broth had a few extra warm spice notes. The side vegetables were skimpy and wilted, and the table condiments were disappointing. The bathroom was grubby and had a broken toilet seat. The waitress was clueless. This restaurant was an experience for my wife and I with little experience with Vietnamese food. The ambience is inviting, yet casual. The server was quite attentive. The owner came out to greet us. We both got beef noodles. (I perhaps put too much chili paste in mine!) We had fresh basil, bean sprouts, jalapeños and lime on the side for our dish, along with traditional Vietnamese hot chili. (I went too wild with that!). The appetizers were delicious and my wife commented that she could make a meal just from the appetizers. We'll definitely be back! read more

Found this yummy place on our way to Nashville. Nice staff and food was fresh and delicious! Only issue was at the end of the meal. Requested a pineapple boba tea. They forgot about it. Reminded them and then another 10 minutes and found out they were out of that flavor. Ended up getting Watermelon which was worth the wait! Very good! read more
