When checked, the desk clerk discussed the situation with a mechanic who initially said they did not service duallys, and then said they could not do an alignment on my truck as there was a large immovable vehicle in an opposing bay and they did not have enough room to maneuver my truck to get it on the alignment machine. I asked about when they would be able to do the alignment and I was unable to get an answer. Although initially a 5 year alignment agreement seemed like a good value, but not so much if it not honored.

I've been commuting a lot for work lately so I've had 3 tires changed here within the last few months. It's been a great experience every time. The first time I stopped in Allied, I'd busted a tire right before heading to work in Nola and had to get on the road ASAP! I was in a huge hurry and the owner was extremely accommodating. We chatted a bit about jazz music and he actually played a Herbie Hancock tune over the lobby speakers while I waited. That just about made my day. Last weekend I had an egg in my tire, but couldn't spend the money on a new one so I asked the guys at Allied to just take a look and tell me how bad it was. They showed me it was completely split down to the threads, and I definitely couldn't drive on it. Knowing I couldn't afford a new tire yet, they put a discarded tire in better shape on my car just so I could make it to work that weekend. For free. I was blown away by the gesture. The guys totally saved the day. I'm beyond grateful for awesome local businesses that still connect with their community. As Herbie would say, "just keep on doin' it!" :P

Within a day, the crack spread to the point that it obstructed my line of sight and made the vehicle unsafe to drive. I was unable to drive my car to work and had to pay out of pocket for a mobile windshield replacement. Despite acknowledging that the damage happened on their property, they have refused to take responsibility or reimburse the cost. I'm disappointed in how this was handled and would not recommend this company based on this experience.
