The best donutes around they are made fresh daily. My understanding the reason for the cash only is so they can keep their prices down. in fact I have seen them tell people to pay them later, becasue they did not see the cash only signs after ordering. If you are not aware, the banks charges retailers for card usage. I'm sorry not having a couple of bucks on you and having to charge is pretty pathatic and embarrassing. To those making a big deal that they do not take cards, put a $5 dolar bill in your purse or pocket and save youself the embarrassment that you don't have a pot to pee in. read more

Needed to find a donut shop that was open super early on a Sunday morning. K&M opens at 4:00am usually but on Sunday they open at 5am. We arrived around 5:50am and they were fully stocked. Service was prompt. We love an old school donut shop and not looking for any fancy decorations or "artisan" creations. Note they are cash only here so probably why they are able to keep their prices a little lower. We got a half dozen donuts ($8.85) including a maple donut, chocolate and glazed, donut holes and an apple juice and the total came out to $13.10. Definitely would stop here if we needed donuts for work or something and it's convenient that they are right by the freeway. read more

Hello everyone I am local food critic that only speaks the truth about local places. Today I visited the k and m donuts and first things first I had a bad experience with the lady behind the counter. No customer service at all just a box in had with an attitude of what you want. Number 2 not a big selection it shows that she doesn't take pride in her business. Number 3 it's a cash only store it sucks it was cash only. Now the food taste had the simple chocolate bar and man this tasted like the donut had the oil catcher in it. It was super greasy didn't get the chance to enjoy it. As for the ambiance it was old dated just so simple nothing but white with dust around it. This is one of the local donut places I have and every single time coming here the older lady before the counter(which I assume is one of the owners) is not very pleasant. Never greats certain people very rude character, she's very selective with regulars seems like. I know some will say it's a language thing but trust me she fine with certain people that come in as her demeanor changes. She acts more like she's doing you a favor and doesn't need your business. Im usually on businesses that have high price points but this places price point in my opinion is on the low side. Like others have stated, the store is cash only. There should be a sign on the door or window before you walk in. My kids and I ordered all of our donuts before getting to the counter and realizing it's cash only. Not only that, there's no ATM or anything provided to even get cash. I've been to the location a few times and everytime my experience has ranged from mediocre to "what crawled up their @$$?". The sad part is their donuts aren't bad. They're actually decent. But not good enough to endure the terrible customer service. You never know what someone is going through so I was always hesitant to write this review but after my latest experience, I can't anymore. We live a block away from this shop and I rarely ever crave donuts just because I had them so much growing up. We finally visited and I am so glad we did! We arrived to an empty shop and were greeted promptly. We ordered a half dozen and they were all gone by the end of the night. I totally ate 2 donuts and I can't believe it! They tasted so fresh I want one right now but I'll probably have to go first thing tomorrow. I noticed a couple reviews mention driving far or out of the way to purchase from this specific shop so I'm grateful it's walking distance from where I live. First of all I want to say I'm not a big donut person but I decided to get the rest of the staff donuts. In that process I decided to have one and all I can say it was the best donut I had in a very long time. So that's an "A" for the donuts themselves. But the biggest thing for me was the owner let me take 2 dozen donuts without me paying the full cost of them as I didn't know they only take cash. So a few days ago on the Facebook page You know you're from Rancho if... Someone was seeking a recommendation for a location with great Donuts. A few people recommended this place. It's one of the few donut houses around I have not tried so I wanted to see what if anything I was missing. Saturday morning 9am I walked in and was promptly greeted politely. I scanned the well stocked display of donuts. Nice variety. I went with a chocolate bar cause that should be simple enough to compare to the chocolate bar at my favorite location, Upland Donuts. Donut in hand and .75¢ out of my pocket I'm out the door. Eager to try the chocolate deliciousness I forget to take a picture but instead jump right in to eating my morning cup full of sugar. First bite my brain says a little firm and definitely no warmth to this at all. Good chocolate flavor and not a bad price for a single donut. Bottom line I was not missing anything. The donut was OK but not nearly as good as my favorite location. I'm not trying to be a hater. If this place is along your route and you like it stick with it. This review is long overdue. I have been living up the hill for 20 years. This shop is on point for donuts. $8.25 a dozen and $4.50 for a half dozen. I guess that is pretty average. I don't go anywhere else now. They usually have a good selection. Just don't wait too long. They bake once in the morning. They will probably take orders. I usually get there before 8am. After 10am, the pickings are slim. They sell a ham and cheese item that is popular although I have never tried. The donuts are light, bot greasy. My husband and I usually buy from them in the morning when they are freshly made and warm. Even when they have just opened their doors you'll notice customers eagerly waiting to get their coffee fix and donuts to-go. They have a good selection, but do sell out of the more popular ones as the day goes on. You can't beat the price (75 ¢), as I've just recently paid $1.50 for a subpar donut at Yum Yum Donuts.
