This is my favorite donut shop in Fontana. I've been going here since 2018. I would get breakfast here on my way to college while waiting on the bus. I had stopped going for a few years and I when I went in the lady instantly recognized me and asked me where I had been. It is a family owned business and I really admire that. Yes it may take some time to get your order if you order a sandwich or anything but it's because there's only a few of them working. The best time to go is honestly earlier in the day but warning if you go after 7 they might be sold out of a few things from their morning rush. As long as you're nice to them they're nice to you. I've been getting donuts from here for the last 4 years or so. I'm so glad I found this place. Customer service was always great for me. I've never had any issues whatsoever. I always thought it was a family ran business. Which I can relate, my family has a small business where my siblings and myself have earned our slave wages.. (it's only when you're older, and your parents are now frail or passed away, that you realize all those sacrifices they made for their family which includes yourself. And how you wish you could go back in time not be such brat and work harder and express appreciation and gratitude and give back the slave wages that you just realized, how they gave you- from their own share of slave wages and probably struggled to do it. The donuts are the best that I've had and I've been to quite a few places near and far. (Grapes and donuts was my irresistible craving when I was pregnant with my son 5 years ago, we moved here a couple months before I had him).. Everyday I'd purchase donuts and grapes from different places- from around here to glendora. And yes, I actually do prefer these over Donutman. Glaze twists and maple bars are pretty much a main staple and are my favorite, although, I've had them all. But you can really tell how excellent a donut is made in the in the minimalist flavors of glaze and maple. Simplistic, nothing fancy. Soft fresh and flavorful. It seems no one gets the flavor right for me. I'm always extremely disappointed and unfulfilled until the craving is satiated with a decent pastry. Except when I come here. Of course, unless... They've ran out. I've been there at all times of the day and night, and customer service was always top notch. Even when I could tell they were tired and ready to go home hours ago, they continued to be respectful and friendly and helpful, go out of there way to smile and say hi to my son even when he'd be a little brat. (His salutation: Shutup! Thankfully he outgrew that phase). The mature woman with broken English can at least get her point across most of the time. And she can understand the names of the donuts, if you speak clear and not fast. And she is quick with math giving change. Old school. It seems no matter what time I go there- it's always busy and on the brink of running out. At least every time I've gone. My husband and brother experience the same. They tend to run out of the good stuff by mid morning. The ham and cheese croissants are great. Wash it down with a Boba. While not the best boba, it's not the worst. And it IS pretty tasty. I truly wish their deliciously fresh donuts made them rich. They'd definitely deserve it. I'd choose this over all others including Krispy Cream and portolas any day. (The flavor again. Although, I do like portolas, nothing against them).. As far as customer service is concerned... Take into consideration the odd hours you'd need to work and if they were attending college classes- that would prob be a brutal schedule. Lastly, consider what they make and how hard they work and how much crap they put up with and fussy people- lets be honest, you know how those fussy people can be. I bet most of the time they don't even leave a tip. Customer service, in my humble opinion, the expectation of it does not, in fact, give any customer the right to degrade or talk down to someone. So what you're having to wait your turn. If you see an employee that's busy and running around by themselves to meet the needs of everyone, the last thing you should do is Yelp a bad review about it - unless you mention the determination of the employee who strives to meet those needs. (Thank you to those that did). And for god sakes leave a great tip. This place is delicious. Edit: Yep. Still good. So good- the last 4 times I've gone there mid morning- they were closed because they ran out. I plan on getting there at an earlier time very soon. Maybe I'll get lucky and they open a donut store near us, when we move more toward Los Angeles. Otherwise - I'm taking mental notes of who would be willing to meet me half way with a dozen. This has been my go to spot for YEARS. The doughnut are as soft as clouds and the sandwiches are really good. You're always greeted by happy people and They are always happy to help no matter what time you come in. I believe it's 24 hours we've done breakfast runs at 5am and doughnut runs at 11pm. I did NOT have a good experience here. First I had read the reviews so I knew it wasn't a FRIENDLY place, but wow. I was in Fontana and I needed a bagel fix and, seriously, why are there no bagel shops ANYWHERE I EVER AM?? But, this place says they have bagels, so I headed that direction. I walk to the dour faced young woman taking orders and ask if they only have plain bagels or other flavors. She points at the sign and says "we have bagels". I said, "yes, but are they only plain?? She points at the sign and says, "we have bagels". I (smart ass voice now) say, "so you only have plain?" She just glares at me. I order a toasted bagel with extra cream cheese. At no point during my wait did I see her smile or say a friendly word in anyone's direction. The bagel was cheap, under $2. They didn't have iced tea, brewed or in their drink cooler, so I did not get a drink. Someone else brought my bagel out and said a number. I asked is that the bagel and that lady just looked at me and held out the bag. Luckily it was, in fact, the bagel. I left. I was going to tell the young woman assisting customers that I hoped her day got better, but she was torturing another customer as I was leaving and I didn't want to interrupt. I have been a long time customer because they're handmade croissants are perfection. However, today, and anytime the old lady that doesn't speak any English is left alone, was the worst experience of my life. She cannot understand a word of any language you try to speak to her. Ordering simple items is excruciating. Don't waste a single second if you see only her when you walk through the door. You'll be lucky to get something out of her by the time they close. I ordered a boba smoothie and she got it done in a timely manner, while assisting other customers. Everytime someone walked in she would come from out back and greet them. I'd give her a raise. Kinda felt bad for her because she's there only worker running around everywhere.. Well on Sunday nights she is. That's the only day I have time to get donuts for the family. This place has gone down hill. They were good and now they suck. The doughnuts aren't fresh and the service sucks. We got the doughnut holes and she threw it one the counter and some of them fell out and the lady just looked at us. The price isn't bad, but they are so cheap because they aren't fresh. And no matter what time of day you go they do not have a very good selection. They basically only have glazed, glazed twist, chocolate and maple bars, holes, and cake. And about 5 of each of those. I love this hidden place. I first went in with the urging of my nephew raising praise for their breakfast sandwiches. Thank god I did this place is delicious. The breakfast sandwiches are cheap n made fresh (so expect a couple min wait). By cheap I mean $2.50 to $3.50. The place has decent coffee n the donuts are what you'd get at any good donut place. It is owned by asians so there is a bit of a language barrier. In the last 3 years i've been frequenting this place they've only gotten better with their english.
