They also have a few last minute souvenirs, magazines, newspapers, See's Candy, postcards and that assortment of stuff. Sadly, they were sold out of the San Francisco Chronicle. Will be catching up with the Mercury News instead. It is the only store to buy "stuff" at in the 20-28 gate section of terminal one at SFO.

They also have food, such as bread and canned clam chowder from Boudin's. They also have snacks and pasta made from other companies located in the Bay Area. Prices are on the expensive side but thats to be expected from any airport store. The one thing that I saw that I had never seen before was SUGAR FREE See's Candies peanut brittle. They sell it here! Great for people who cannot have sugar.

This is a decent size Hallmark. Most of the ones have been much smaller as rental spaces in malls have gotten so expensive. Sadly, I've noticed more businesses vacating the Tanforan mall. The mall has been sold and will be demolished eventually, so why would a business renew their rent and stay here. The staff here are pretty nice and if they close after the Xmas season, I hope the owner opens another in SF or closer. I hate having to order online and paying for shipping. They used to have a shop in Stonestown and their old space is available and there are plenty of other spots. I'll miss looking at the cute annual Christmas ornaments too.

I got a little working alarm clock for a little over 10 bucks which I found useful on my red-eye. For those of you too young to understand what I'm talking about, the alarm clock application on your phone was inspired by this old technology called "alarm clocks." They also sell reasonably priced hats, bags and knick knacks. And by reasonably priced, I do mean reasonably priced, not airport priced.

Never thought I'd review an "over-priced airport shop" before but this one definitely merits it! :)…read more Upon first passing my mom and I ignored it because we were sure it would be just as disappointing as the other stores in Terminal 2. Boy were we wrong! When I looked closer I spotted those super cozy neck pillows for only $9.95 - to put that in perspective EVERY other store in this terminal had them starting at $18!!! They had really nice travel essentials also reasonably priced such as small pull ons, eye covers, pouches, travel totes, etc. They had really cool padded backpacks for only $40. The most surprising was that they had rain slickers for only $30!!! They were really nice ones, too with elastic cinching at the waist and gold zippers, NOT the crappy convenience store tarps-with-sleeves-ponchos. Note bags are charged for in Cali, so it tacks on like $0.35 for a bag. Look at the pics I snagged for yourself! Pretty decently priced inventory!

District Market is the convenience store to hit in SFO for those "ah, I forgot to pack something!"…read moremoments in Terminal 3. Yes, it has food, beverages and snacks for purchase. But you can find those elsewhere. District Market is great in all the other things it also has. Books, chargers, headphones, things to amuse your children on the flight, clothes (not just the souvenir ones), luggage, bags, travel toiletries, a small cosmetics section and even some wine. And, the stars for me: See's Candies and Ghirardelli chocolates. The two local specialty gifts I bring to people when I fly out of SFO. I tend to forget to grab gifts, or maybe another person is added to my itinerary at the last minute. District Market has saved me many times regarding last minute gifts. The store is located right by the main food court in the terminal, and next to the restrooms. Self checkout kiosks galore in the store. Like most airport stores, it's very lightly staffed but easy enough to find what you need by the clearly marked sections of the store.
