Needed my cashmere sweater dry cleaned asap. Called several places and a few wouldnt answer their phone let alone communicate effectively. I called K&S and they said they could have it ready for me in 2 days tops. I needed it done in 4 days so they could do it in half the time. They charged $7.50 which i though was fair and they did a great job and got the spots out i that I needed them to. Took my WORK shirts in for alteration and they price gouged me almost $300 for 4 shirts!! The female owner HANNAH is nasty. She has a bad attitude has alway awful to deal with. My husband brought in his cammies to have name tapes sewn on. They sewed them hanging over the pocket & going past the pocket on the sides, out of regulations. When he brought the items in he was given a price, then upon pickup they were charging him $20 more than stated at drop off. When asking for detailed cost breakdown, they stammered trying to come up with a reason to match the cost he was being charged. When he expressed the price difference and poor work, he was argued back with by aggressive employees, who refused to listen to what he had to say. Safe to say, we will not return. read more

I think this business needs to add a review of the items prior to drop off. An itemized list of what you are dropping off and what you are being charged for. My husband brought in a military uniform for alterations. When he received it back the buttons had been taken off and not put back on. When we went to put the buttons back on we were short some. We went back and the owner and his wife tried blaming us saying the coat was missing buttons when they received it. Had they made an itemized list of what my husband dropped off then there would have been no question as to if the coat had the buttons or not. Thankfully they were able to find 8 of the buttons laying around in their messy unorganized shop. We won't be back. read more

I have brought so many clothes to be tailored by Hannah. Every time she exceeds my expectations! Once I even brought in a dress I needed for a wedding that I was leaving for that day, and she was very kind and hemmed the dress in only 30 minutes! I usually bring in pants for the most part because I am so small, but she always nails it! I think being open and honest about what you want is very important. Regarding alterations: Don't take your garments to K&S in San Clemente. I have heard some horror stories but brought my dress for the ball there for alterations out of convenience (my mistake). I asked if they'd be able to get it done by Thursday (this was Monday). They said yes. I pick it up today and they charged me a whopping $55!! My dress cost $50. I only got the bottom hemmed, so no other alterations or anything crazy. When I questioned them about the cost they said "well you needed it done quickly". However, they never told me they were going to charge me more for that. She went on to say that they pressed it for me, which costs $20. I said I didn't ask them to. She said "no no we did it for you for free"..... like what?? Then she changed her story and said that they did the "rush" for free too. Still not sure why a simple alteration cost so dang much, on a relatively simple dress. Definitely take your garments elsewhere. My husband won't be taking his stuff there anymore either. read more

I had the worst service possible at this dry cleaners! They wrecked both outfits I've taken in to be cleaned. The owners took no responsibility and told me I'd made the damages !!!!?!!! I don't care where one is from, but for a new customer to receive their clothes back worse than it was when you brought it in - is not acceptable. Comment to owners/staff: Having a pleasant attitude to potential customers walking in your door goes a long way people! Smiling and saying "Hello, how are you today?", like you mean it - is also a nice thing to do. Thank your customers for their patronage. Being nice and welcoming goes a long way. Truly disappointed. First time here, the Asian lady who helped me is more like a wall... not personable at all, don't like showing her teeth and probably not familiar with customer service. I brought two pair of pants to get hemmed and one of them I needed to take in the crotch also as there was way too much fabric hanging there. Initially she told me the pants are high rise. Obviously I know that, they are already up above my waist but the left over fabric on the crotch did not look good and it bugged me. I paid $36 to adjust this one pair alone and after trying it on I realized they didn't take in the crotch as I requested and paid for so I brought them back. Once I explained it was not fixed the Asian lady gave me a nasty look and said "she didn't fix it because it would be too tight in the back" but if you really want to we will fix it. She then wanted me to wait another week to pick up when they made a mistake. No sorry no nothing. (customer service is really dead) I missed wearing them on the event I was planning to because the pants did not get fixed. 5 days later I come to pick them back up, got home put them on and AGAIN. No alteration has been made to the crotch. Seriously, this is just awful. They took my money, made me go back twice, treated me like she was doing ME a favor and never really fixed my pants. I do NOT recommend this place to anyone. Wont be back. Rather take my business some place else where they would actually do the work and treat you as a valuable customer instead. THEY LOST MY TUXEDO PANTS!! I've been going to K&S Cleaners for over twelve years, but my most recent experience will NEVER find me back. I dropped off my entire tuxedo to be cleaned prior to a wedding. After picking it up a few weeks later, I returned home to find that my pants were not under the plastic wrapping they put everything in. I immediately called the K&S owners and they asked for three hours to find the pants. I was frantic. The tuxedo set was over $3500 and useless without the pants. Sure enough, they didn't find the pants. When I returned, they pulled out a dozen pants that were near the color of my tuxedo, but none were right. At that point, I realized that they lose garments all the time. They basically rolled out their current lost-and-found that most closely matched my tuxedo fabric. It's clear to me that they must have sent my tuxedo pants home with someone else. Like I said, I was goingt to K&S Cleaners for over twelve years. The owners made no attempts to rectify the situation. If you care about your belongings, find another Dry Cleaner. read more

Do NOT get tailoring here. I brought a jumpsuit in to be hemmed and they left the length too long so fabric is dragging on the ground. I brought it back. They tried to argue with me the whole time. They made up so many excuses like I was wearing different shoes (not true) and I was wearing it a different way (not possible). They wouldn't listen to me and they refused to address the problem. Now I have to take it to get it tailored again somewhere else. Wasted money and time. read more

I have been coming here since I moved to San Clemente 3 yrs ago and recently noticed that the buttons on my dress shirts were damaged after dry cleaning here (two of the shirts were brand new). I have now gone back through my dress shirts and every one that has exposed buttons that I laundered here, the buttons are completely destroyed. On some it is cracks and surface damage to the finish others are literally cracked to pieces. Hundreds of dollars in silk shirt now need all of their buttons replaced?! This is absolutely insane. I would never recommend anyone to bring delicates or pieces they like here for "dry cleaning." Images show the consistent damage to the buttons. For reference these shirts were laundered at different times so this is consistent, not a one time mistake. read more

After I moved, I tried out other dry cleaners in San Clemente but I always ended up back at K&S even if it meant a further drive. Hannah and David are so friendly and care about their customers. Hannah remembers many of the customers names and I always see David going out of his way to help take clothes to customers' cars. It is easy to get worried dropping off your valuable items to a dry cleaners but with them I am never worried. I have never had any issues and they are passionate about what they do. Haven't gotten the clothes back but note " parking available in the rear. Shop is clean, has a non- generic sterile "cleaners" look. Nice family owned guessing Korean family that you can tell care about the business and customers. I wouldn't say $ for price. But I'm cheap and don't do a lot of cleaning, so I'm likely out of touch with pricing. Right in the center of town, so conveniently located: try them out! And following up after my second round.... Clothes are spotless and pressed neatly. Recycling available for hangers at the front. Had little problem and the blazer which was cleaned started to pull thread in the back of the coat. Brought it in the next day and Hannah took care of it - no charge. Said I'd write a nice review and on second thought $ or $$, worth the money as you get what you pay for. Had a couple pairs of jeans repaired for the zipper and the prices are what you would pay for a seamstress that works out of her house, so yeah top notch! They seem to do a fair amount of military clothing and that is a MUST BE PERFECT! And I'd trust them to my dress uniform as I would trust them with my most precious items. Pricey in comparison to other cleaners who do military uniforms. $9 for dry cleaning only one uniform is seriously a bit much. Down in Oceanside it's a few dollars less per uniform, so if I have a few uniforms and alterations I'm better off going over there since it's still convenient for me. They know what they are doing and go out of their way every time to make it perfect and fast too. I can't say enough about these guys! They have always exceeded our standards! The "Same day special" is amazing and what we always get. We drop it off about 8 am and get it by the time they open (7 am) the next day. One time we were past the deadline in the morning for the same day special and we needed my husbands suit for a last minute event the next day, they were booked for it to be done the next day and actually had it ready for us that night!
