I have been going to Presidio Cleaners in San Clemente for over four years. It is with sadness that I post this one star rating. The owner Paul refused to reimburse the cost of a new sweater which was ruined (they shrunk and put a whole in my new cashmere sweater.) I tried compromising with the owner...all I asked for was reimbursement..he tried to blame the store who sold me the sweater and then the sweater manufacturers. I brought in this sweater that was dry cleaned successfully before with them to only be told that when they shrunk the same sweater that it was someone else's fault. It states very clearly to dry clean or hand wash in cold water. I will not be returning to the cleaners as they do not care for their customers and have not done the right thing and continue to blame others. I have wasted enough of my valuable time. I hope others do not have this happen to them. read more

It saddens me to write this because this place used to provide absolutely wonderful service. But they've changed ownership twice now and the newest owners are the worst yet. Horrible attitude towards customers. Very very slow at intake. They also have tried to give me the wrong clothes the last two times. The women in line before me was also given the wrong clothes. The new owner (female) is flat out rude. (She's also the one who has tried giving the wrong clothes.) She doesn't acknowledge you when you walk in. Took a personal call on her cell phone while she was helping us. I feel if I went again I'd be jeopardizing not getting my clothes back or getting them back ruined. Sad it's come to this because the owners who were there 5 years ago when I started coming here were incredible and I'm sure it'd make them sad to see this place in the current state. read more

I've used this dry cleaner for a few months because they had free pick-up and delivery. The last time I sent my stuff there, it was returned to me with my black and white sweater dress missing. The next day, I went into the cleaners to ask about my dress, and they all disappeared in the back and were talking in hushed voices. A few minutes later, they returned with my dress. But instead of being black and white, it was now black and PINK!!!! I was thoroughly confused. How does dry cleaning turn a dress pink? It turns out that they WASHED my dress instead of dry cleaning it. I was furious. The guy tried to rationalize it, saying, "It's 100% cotton so it's washable." I told him that if I had wanted to WASH it, I would have used my own damn machine! Then he said, "Let us keep it and we'll try to get it out." I said, "Absolutely not. I don't trust you guys anymore. I don't know how you're going to try and get pink out but I'm sure you'll ruin the dress even further." They said they wouldn't charge me for the dress and asked me the value. I was stupid and told them it wasn't expensive (I got it at Marshall's for $40)...I should have said it was worth hundreds of dollars (just kidding). Anyway, they said they would give me a $40 credit towards future dry cleaning. I just rolled my eyes and left. Like I was EVER going to use them again! I would have given this place one star, but later that evening the actual owner called and apologized and said that my entire dry cleaning bill had been comped ($35) instead of just the dress. He also told me to go buy a dress similar to the one they washed and bring him the receipt and he would reimburse me. The dress is still wearable even though it's now pink, so I'm not going to make him reimburse me. I was happy they stepped up and comped my dry cleaning bill, although I am still going to find a new dry cleaner. read more

Family run business (husband and wife) with a guaranteed smile. So we have just started using Presidio Cleaners but they are off to a good start. The wife typically handles the counter and is extremely polite and very nice. She seems genuinely concerned with offering good service. I forgot to get my tux dry cleaned and 2 days before I needed it I remembered. They handled it the next day, no problem and with no up charges. Very impressed so far and looking forward to updating this review as we use them longer. read more

"Don't let the door hit you on...on your way out" attitude. "Two outta three ain't bad" sums up my experience here. Go somewhere else. Most businesses have a can do attitude. You won't find that here. You will pay. They will profit. Your clothes might be cleaner. Might not. Three items were paid for. Two are now clean. No offer to remove the charge of the third item. My third, still soiled item is a designer silk blouse, the kind it breaks your heart to toss in the trash. I removed more stars for the attitude problem than the uncleaned Yet paid for item. I hope the management responds. Perhaps both problem employees will move on. But I am not holding my breath. read more

My experience with Presidio Cleaners was amazing. First, they did a great job with my clothes that totally exceeded my expectations. I had 10 shirts and a pair of pants dry cleaned, and everything came out perfect and was ready exactly when they told me it would be. Second, the service was phenomenal. The people there are so nice, humble, and gracious. On top of that, they even gave me recommendations on how to best care for my clothes in the future. Finally, the price for such excellent service was more than satisfactory. I definitely will be back and would recommend this to my friends who are local to SC. read more

This place is really great--friendly, quick, inexpensive. I needed to get my wedding dress pressed before "the big day." I called around to other dry cleaners and the second they heard "wedding," I pictured dollar signs in their eyes. They were quoting anywhere from $80 to $150. What the heck? For pressing? So, then I dropped in at Presidio and showed them the dress. Their quote? $15. Yep,$15. Friendliest dry cleaners on the planet! When a seagull crapped on my suit during a wedding, and I needed it cleaned immediately, they turned it around in an hour. I've been a loyal customer ever since. I'm always greeted with a smile (which is a rarity most places), and they do a great job on the suits, shirts and pants I give them.
