I have lost shirts from this place. The first time was my white linen shirt that was part of my wedding outfit. Everything came back, pants, jacket, vest except the linen shirt. This time another shirt did not come back and we told the owner Gina that we are missing another shirt. She did not offer any solution to find the missing shirt. It is not because they are expensive clothes, they have special meaning or memories to them, they are not just ordinary clothes. The owner should have at least offer a way to find them. i'm new to the area and needed a cleaners, So i as i always do i looked on yelp to try and find one that had good reviews. I found Ortega Cleaners, thier close to my house and also most importantly they have really good reviews, even tho as i just noticed, reviews are older not current. My bad. I took 10 items in, all for drycleaning. $70. Ok. When i brought my clothes home and took them out of the bags, they smell horrible. Like very bad BO!! My clothes didn't smell anything like this when i brought them in. Terrible and Gross!! I'm going out of town and need to deal with it, had to spray perfume all over my clothes, which was also smelling up my whole closet. My clothes are not clean!! The water that they use to clean or whatever chemical must not have been cleaned. Disgusting. This is the same exact thing you do not want from a drycleaners!! Had to write this review for that purpose. I should have known, when you walk in it smells bad. Like dirty rotten clothes, never walked into a cleaners that smells bad! Beware. Came to Orange County for family wedding and we needed a same day press for our suits and dress. Family owned and the lady is so super nice. My dress for the event was obviously a cheap material and looked like it needed a little mend and she was able to do that for me. I can't sit and walk all night with it tearing on me. Luckily it's a dark navy blue color and she was quick with her hands and we called everywhere to help us but only Ortega can do it. If you are ever in need of a quick press, they are the one and only. I am so happy. I cut my hand and did not realize it and I got lots of blood on the front and back sides of my new blue jeans. I washed it a couple times to no avail because the blood did not come out of the jeans at all. Just got a dress majorly altered. It was a three layer dress with train that needed to be hemmed and it was one size too small so they took it out about 1.5". This was a big job especially considering the waistline and lack of extra material in the bodice. She ended up taking fabric from the bottom train. It looks fabulous and you can barely tell it was taken out. She also did this with a one week turn around! Definite will come back! read more

This is the only tailoring shop I will ever use. The prices are fair and the quality is excellent. The alterer and I believe proprietor, is so nice and knowledgeable. I've had numerous skirts and dresses altered and I love her work. She does a great job! Last month my son wanted a few pairs of his pants hemmed before the first day of school, which was of course the next day. I asked if she would be able to have just one pair of pants available later that evening. Three hours later I returned and she had hemmed all three pairs of his pants without charging a rush fee. I love how the owner knows me when I walk in and I don't have to show my pick up slip. I've been to many other dry cleaners as I've lived in other cities and nothing compares to the mom and pop feel of this place. Great local dry cleaner that can get the job done at affordable rates! I needed my wedding dress to be cleaned, so I called around to get estimates. Most dry cleaners charged $250+ or were unable to quote me over the phone. Not only did Ortega Cleaners charge only $150, but they were able to provide an estimate via Yelp messenger! It was so convenient! The place is a lil hard to find (it's a tiny center right off the Ortega Hwy near the freeway on/off ramp). But aside from that, this dry cleaner is awesome. The ground was wet on my wedding day, so she had to hand clean the dirt off the skirt made of lace. My dress looked brand new when I received it, and it was finished on time as promised. I also found out they only charge $2/dress shirt, so I'll bring in my husband's work clothes next time. So glad I found this place! read more
