Lack of experience in customer service and communications. I signed a contract on 6/5/2025 for fence repair and also made a sizable deposit which they cashed.They inquired about a permit on 3 occasions and I both called and emailed for 2 weeks. Again on 7-10 when I called to get a date for the project- they again asked me about a permit, which is NOT required on an existing fence. Repeated calls unreturned, unorganized and rude office staff. Finally got me to scheduling on 7-23 asking again about the permit. They CANCELLED my contract and the nasty text message from the owner was simply the icing on the cake. Inquiring about a delivery date was seen as "rude" yet her text which I documented says "check will go out in the mail today. Hopefully the USPS will have it to you by Monday, the 28th. If not, you know how to compliant about it"--- ! She couldn't even PICK up the phone and have a conversation..... buyer beware! The contract I signed says they can cancel at ay time due to any unforeseen circumstances- by any "change orders" MUST be agreed upon in writing by both parties. While their service may be good- their organization (or lack thereof) and office staff and kindness- isn't part of their core values. I'm relieved I'm not using them. ps- notice that all of the good reviews are OLD. Check out the ones from 2024 (Abra) Have you ever had an owner respond in this nature? Calling the "customer" a liar? As to the JULIE people, (USIC)- nobody rang the bell and I babysit children. They opened the back gate without permission and left it open- I have a POOL (aka liability). I wanted to make a change after the estimate so I went to the office. Everyone was friendly and helpful in addressing my changes. The final invoice process is easy. A+ for the installation crew. I was there for the walkthrough and made suggestions that they quickly responded to. There was an extended wait after receiving the quote but it was definitely well worth it. Our fence is stunning! Our salesperson, Mike, worked with us from the very beginning to ensure we had the exact look we wanted for our backyard. When his crew came out, they hand-dug holes to ensure our sprinkler system would not be cut. They credited our initial estimate because they used less fencing than originally expected. The little details is what I really appreciated about K Brothers, they ensured the top of our fence line was smooth, regardless of inclines in the yard. Our gate had a small scratch on the bottom (it was delivered that way) so they installed it so we had a usable backyard for our dog but came back and replaced it just two days later. If you see complaints on here because of the length of time it took for them to install ... they are busy because they are THAT GOOD! Call to set up appointment over three weeks ago haven't heard from them yet called twice

K bros installed our fence late last spring and did a horrible job. We waited for 10+ weeks (vs. 5-6 weeks promised to us by the salesman when accepting the down payment). The fence now looks crooked (tilted or warped) in several sections after just 8-9 months! K bros likely promised the moon and delivered a rock - ordered subpar materials and/or hired untrained people for installation. The work site was left unclean with a lot of dangerous (sharp edged or pointed) materials. Moreover, one side of a storage shed in our backyard was left damaged but the installers cleverly hid the damage so it couldn't be found out immediately. Last but not the least, the installation crew came in late, sat around much of the day, and left a lot of food waste, disposable plastic-ware and cups scattered throughout our yard in our absence. The supervisor played hardball and bullied us into signing the work completion sheet without doing a thorough job. The business owner was also very rude, spiteful and refused to fix things saying it was either reported too late or without any proof but could not explain what specific proof they wanted from us besides just the damage pictures. Really rude, unhappy and unprofessional people to work with. With our initial complaints they even suggested taking a calculated risk of yet another bad online review. We don't think they'll accept any responsibility for the bad outcome and just hide behind their intentionally vague contract terms and conditions instead. Besides, we're already afraid of hiring the same bad company to fix the very problems they created. We just have to bite the bullet and hire someone more reputable and someone who take pride in quality of their work to fix the nightmare. read more

Beware of the surprises! Just started the install today and it's been more than a bumpy road. In reading other reviews I can only imagine that the someone from K Brothers will comment and tell me it's my fault, but be warned anyway. First, I thought the experience of the survey was really good. Informative enough and next steps seemed clear. I gave my information and was told I would get quote in a couple of days. I did!! Woohoo. + 2 stars Now, I agreed to the quote signed the contract and sent my 50% deposit with the expectation of an install in the next 5-6 weeks. We've started install today at a little over 7 weeks, so not too bad. + 2 stars (that's 4 for those tracking at home) The problem is this. I sent my contract and my money. 4 days later I got the "no surprises document" because I hadn't signed it. Well, I never got it. And surprise surprise, they had my money and I had to pay to restock if I cancelled... so looks like we're signing this. I asked the survey guy for help with submitting permit forms but due to lengthy time between emails, I was already getting calls for the office asking for an update and being told, very bluntly, that it wasn't their responsibility to help. Fair enough, but way to wait until you have my 4K to tell me that. (-2 star, down to 2) Today the crew was very prompt, they were very nice and informative. Turns out they surveyor wasn't really thinking through the proposal too well as the guys were scratching their heads at how to put a post in a couple spots. Shame on me for not noticing either, but new house and no experience in the fencing biz (maybe the surveyor didn't either?) + 1 star for that team on any day, but cold day and good spirits, I'll give them 2! (4 stars again for those still tracking. With all those headaches, maybe this will go okay?) Alas, I left, gave the team my contact information and said to call if they needed anything. Welp, no call, but wouldn't you know it, their days late no surprises agreement covers them from even notifying me that they cut my sprinkler lines in two different spots. -2 stars, down to 2. I'm not thrilled about this experience. This could very well be a 1 star review, but I think 2 is fair and they could probably execute a job pretty well 50% of the time with this model. While I think it's fair for a business to protect themselves in this way, don't sign the no surprises document with these guys. Shop around and pay a little more if you have to. It will be worth it if the customer experience and consideration is even slightly better. *will update this review if anything develops. ;) read more

We had K Brothers install our fence and were very happy with the experience and finished product. The estimate appointment was great, our salesperson explained everything clearly and the pricing was transparent. Everything was written down and we were given a drawing of the proposed fence outline to present when we went for the permit. This was all very helpful as we had never had a fence installed before. When we signed the contract they were up-front and told us it would be 7-8 weeks until the install and it took exactly that long. We expected this as any company worth hiring is usually booked a few weeks out. Install day went smoothly, they confirmed everything before they started and let you choose where the gates go, which way they swing, etc. The fence came out looking very nice and stands up well to the elements. K Brothers uses all concrete for the post holes, I have heard of other companies using half concrete and half gravel which can lead to problems. The only issue I had throughout the whole process was there was a spot on the fence where 5-6 of the pickets were several inches off the ground, high enough for my dog to escape under. When I pointed it out to the install crew they told me to go to Lowe's and buy chicken wire to cover the gap. I had just spent a ton of money on an aluminium fence, I was not about to put cheap chicken wire on it. A few days later the finisher came (I forgot his name but he was awesome) to hang the gates. I pointed the problem out to him and he came back the next day to switch out the pickets himself. He also fixed one I bent on accident while mowing the lawn without charging me. I was very happy with how everything ended up and would use K Brothers again/recommend them. read more

I am a repeat customer with K Brothers. To start off and be fair, the first time was exceptional. However, the second time is absolutely horrendous. A year later after installing my fence I wanted a section of it moved and for it to replace an old existing fence. I was given a quote in May and was pleased with the priced and what was promised. I was told they would cut the old fence low and use sleeves in the new location to save money. At the time I was told it would be just as sturdy. The estimated time of starting the job was 4-5 weeks and that it may happen at any time because it was a quick job and could be fit in at any time. 5 weeks down the road I begin to call the office just for an estimated time due to having landscape work that would conflict in the area of installation. For 3 days I called and left messages with nothing in return. It took me to write a review on here, later deleting it, and sending it via facebook to K Brothers telling them I will remove this when it was corrected. Finally I received response from the owner apologizing and telling me it would be done on friday. I call the landscape company telling them the date and everything was coordinated. On friday they are nowhere to be found and have to reschedule to monday, pushing back the landscapers and costing me money. After completion of the job the landscapers told me "who the hell put in this fence, looking at it the wrong way will knock it over." Upon inspection the slightest push made the 30' section of fencing wobble a ridiculous amount. I then call K Brothers and was told they did not secure it properly they would be out in the morning to fix it, finally install the gate and remove the excess material that has been in my lawn. 3 weeks after completion of the issues and fence I notice there is sharp metal posts from the old location protruding out of the ground about grass high level (refer to picture). Not all of them but 2 out of the 6. During these 3 weeks I notice my dog has been getting a lot of cuts on his paws and THE MATERIAL IS STILL IN MY LAWN. One can only assume and be right to do so, that these minor injuries to my dog were due to the LAZINESS and INCOMPETENCE, of cutting down the metal posts to where they can not be covered with dirt. This will be the last time I ever call K Brothers again for anything. Even if there was an issue that was covered under my warranty I would never call them, I would rather pay out of my own pocket. read more

The only reason this company has received a star from me is because I wouldn't be able to review them with out it. Although installation was ok, the crew severed our sprinkler lines and allegedly had to do many hand digs that were not made clear to us that would be extra. Although they have a no surprise clause one has to sign when giving them a deposit and of course was not highlighted to initial. So stupid me only read and initialed the ones I was told to. Also the lady that took my deposit tried to argue with me that we had chosen a second gate and that the one gate we had on contract was extra. She had to keep walking away and ask another person in their side office about this?? Her name is Lori or Laurie, however it is spelled was a complete ignorant poor rep for their company. I just want them to know that. With this being said we have a broken part of the fence that is not under warranty and was told by a girl, her name is Lisa that is not part of a warranty and our landscaper must have done it or we did?! We don't have a landscaper we have a lawnmower. So think twice before doing business with this company, I thought it would be good to use them because most people around here do but what a huge mistake. I will be telling anyone who asks who we hired for this job do not hire them!! Terrible customer service and even more ignorant office workers, hope they don't make more than minimum wage because they aren't even worth that. read more

I guess the key to quality is to be patient. Fast & quick is not the way these guys do business. I've checked out installations from other area fencing companies before we chose our aluminum fence with K-Brothers. The price was higher, but well worth the expense and the wait. I'm glad we listened to the advice of a few neighbors. They said it may take awhile (8 weeks for us, my wife was getting nervous), but the quality of the product and the courtesy and talent of the crew were impressive. Beware! I have a vinyl fence where the slats came out of the panel. When I called to get it repaired, I was told they only repair fences they installed. My fence was installed 15 years ago so I have no documentation still. Scam, they just want to you replace your whole fence at inflated prices compared to competition. I contracted with K Brothers fence to install a new vinyl fence along the ream perimeter of my home. First off, the sales person Denise was wonderful to work with, professional and personable. My fence was installed ahead of the initial date and the installation team did a fantastic job. I then had an entire section of fence in another part of my yard which was basically falling apart. I spoke to Denise once again about partial replacement until Spring. While discussing this with Denise I asked if I could have the bad sections removed, and she coordinated that with me. Week and a half later I was contacted that the gentlemen would be out that afternoon to remove the fence sections. These gentlemen were awesome, very nice, polite and great personalities. I highly recommend K Brothers Fence company, they are wonderful to work with and more importantly provide not only a quality product, but provide quality in their workmanship. read more

Actual Rating: 3.5 Stars The Good: 1.Great product and from what I've heard they stand behind their work as well. 2. They've Been around for a long time, although Im not sure how long in their current location. 3. The fence is beautiful and appears to be very sturdy and rugged. Kids will not easily tear it down. 4. The install team knows what they are doing and seem to treat your property with respect. The Bad: 1. TERRIBLE to schedule. They will not give you an exact install date. They just tell you to wait for JULIE to mark your lawn and then you know you're getting close. 2. They were the highest estimate I received out of 5 estimates, by over 25% !!!! 3. They take 50% deposit just to schedule an install and then make you wait at least 6-8 weeks before they will come to install your fence. They claim this is because they are "so busy". WELL THEN HIRE MORE PEOPLE and get my fence installed sooner! Waiting 2 months for an install??? Thats crap. 4. Someone has to be present on the date of install - but they will not give you an install date !!! WTF ??? Other people work too, and this is very inconvenient. Give me an install date so I can make arrangements to be there! 5. People who answer the phone are very nice and seem like they want to help, but they will not answer any questions and have to check everything over with their manager. Then you end up talking to the manager and starting all over again. How about just have the managers answer the phones because its poor customer service. At least they don't transfer you to a call center. 6. Did I mention that they are terrible to schedule?? I would almost say somewhat disrespectful to customers in that they take to long to install and will not give you an install date. Finally, I cannot comment on any follow-up maintenance because we have not had to schedule any yet ---- although given the rough ride just to get the fence installed, I cannot imagine getting them to come out for any type of follow-up maintenance would be any easier. In the end, they have a good product and I would say to call them and get an estimate. Just beware of the calendaring and possible customer service nightmares ahead. read more

When I see other people's reviews stating their fence was very reasonably priced, I shake my head. The cost of my fence could feed the entire state of Texas. It's truly disheartening how much this cost especially after talking with a few people who had fences installed by other companies and spent 1/3 of the money. I am surprised at all of the positive reviews since my recent experience with them has been anything but positive. We recently had an aluminum fence installed and customer service was great up until they got the deposit. I never received a call back from them regarding when they would come install the fence, I actually had to call them twice only to find out that they were coming in 2 days. As for the actual fence installation, they extended out one side at an angle so it looks odd and they charged me an additional $147 for "additional footage" while making the fence look crooked because they didn't want to have to remove the stumps from the old wood fence that we had them remove. I called them about it and was told the manager would call me back but I never got a callback from him. For people who say their prices are reasonable, I would really like to know which companies they received quotes from because I received many quotes and this K brothers is on the high end. I had K brothers remove a chain link fence and install a privacy fence. I selected them even though they priced 70% higher than the average estimate because they promised to install quicker than the competitors. 7 weeks later I finally got them to send an install crew. The fence was installed crooked and the chain link fence was not entirely removed. They installed the new fence a few inches inside the property line and left the old fence up. read more

I waited two weeks with no response. I then happened to be in the area and stopped into K Brothers. I explained what happened and was told that was odd and they looked for my information in the system. They could not locate me and took all my information down by hand. I was told someone would contact me within 2-3 business days. Well here we are two weeks later and I haven't received a call for a quote. 7 years later, a part broke on my gate...so I took a shot at maybe they would have a part for the magnetic lock that I had in place. It was 8am but the door was open even though they open up at 9am. When researching fence companies and gathering quotes, my husband and I were very excited to talk to K Brothers. I was impressed by the attentiveness, knowledge, and negotiated quote. Nearing the end of June, we put down our hefty deposit and were excited to hear we would finally have a fence in about a week. Needless to say, it's almost September and we still don't have a fence! K Brothers has pretty much disappeared for the last two months. They FINALLY show up yesterday to install, a day full of thunderstorms in the forecast, and leave mid-job when the weather gets bad -- why even start!! I currently have giant posts sticking out of giant holes in my sod, and pieces of fence stacked up all over my yard (on my very expensive, freshly-laid sod!). I do believe the finished product will be worth the wait, and the price was reasonable, so I will give 3 stars, but paying at the start of summer and getting it installed at the beginning of fall has been very disappointing. read more

I am pleased with the high level of service provided. I spoke with Roger first, by phone. He did exactly what he promised. He provided an estimate and stopped by my house as scheduled. ( I called 5 not so great fence companies who either didn't call back or called back with numerous excuses as to why they wouldn't do the job) They told me I was on the schedule within 30 days and then they did it sooner. Recently had a smallish fence project including a driveway gate done by K Brothers Fence. While I do wish they had been in touch a little bit more with me, they did a great job overall and every person I dealt with was very professional. We got what we paid for and the job was well done with a friendly, respectful crew. One little thing they did was laying down some fabric by the holes the post holes to collect all the dirt. Almost no mess or dirt was left behind and I was impressed and appreciative for that small act and attention to the customer. I would hire them again. read more
