Once I was able to get the permit, my contact Fabian, scheduled us to begin the next day. The removal of our old driveway, framing and grating took a full work day by a crew, led by Mark, that were there to work. I'm disabled and like to sit outside and was able to watch as professionals took care to build me a driveway that I too could be proud of, simply by It's commission. I say commission because after my city inspection, the true artistry began. I was able to watch as they plied their trade, working in harmonious rhythm almost hypnotically. . Even and slow, slowly working rock, grit, and water into position, waiting for the final face of the work. Skimming and cutting lines, floating a layer, that after a gentle brushing the final piece in its entirety reveals itself ,a masterpiece. The next morning I sat talking with the guys sent here to remove the framing and backfill. We talked about Soccer, their kids and their pride in their work. I told them they should be very proud because it was truly remarkable. They finished by giving me trade secrets on maintaining my artwork for as long as possible and ensuring as much debris, as possible, was removed from the site.and the street in front of our home. How can I alone determine a masterpiece you ask? I can't. But I can tell you. In the last days, I sit proudly on my front porch as neighbors greet me with "it's beautiful." I respond with "Thank you, I think so too." I know making a decision in today's economy where getting value for what you pay for can be difficult but if my testimony eases some of that stress, just remember this. Again on 7-10 when I called to get a date for the project- they again asked me about a permit, which is NOT required on an existing fence. Repeated calls unreturned, unorganized and rude office staff. Finally got me to scheduling on 7-23 asking again about the permit. They CANCELLED my contract and the nasty text message from the owner was simply the icing on the cake. Inquiring about a delivery date was seen as "rude" yet her text which I documented says "check will go out in the mail today. Hopefully the USPS will have it to you by Monday, the 28th. If not, you know how to compliant about it"--- ! She couldn't even PICK up the phone and have a conversation..... buyer beware! The contract I signed says they can cancel at ay time due to any unforeseen circumstances- by any "change orders" MUST be agreed upon in writing by both parties. While their service may be good- their organization (or lack thereof) and office staff and kindness- isn't part of their core values. I'm relieved I'm not using them. ps- notice that all of the good reviews are OLD. Check out the ones from 2024 (Abra) Have you ever had an owner respond in this nature? Calling the "customer" a liar? As to the JULIE people, (USIC)- nobody rang the bell and I babysit children. They opened the back gate without permission and left it open- I have a POOL (aka liability). When we met to discuss the most recent window replacement project, he set a production and installation schedule and he followed it to the letter. Further, AT Construction's workmanship and attention to detail are remarkable. To evidence this fact, when they completed the work, the window looked perfect. Notwithstanding, Adam pointed out a small imperfection in one of the screens and promised to have it addressed and corrected. Less than 24 hours later, he already has a Pella representative scheduled to inspect and presumably replace or repair the screen.
