Jason, the owner, came out on March 12, 2024, to give me an estimate on having my wood fence replaced. I asked for a quote for both another wood fence as well as a vinyl fence. After receiving eight quotes, I decided to consider L and J Construction Services and one other company. Although L and J Construction was a little higher in price than the other company, L and J Construction was able to start right away. Since my wooden fence was leaning, I wanted to have it replaced as soon as possible before it damaged my neighbor's brand-new fence. It took about one week to obtain the building permit from the village. But, once we had the permit, L and J Construction started the next day. I was told by Jason that his workers would be on-site the next day to lay the fence posts. Imagine my surprise to see the workers had not only torn down my wooden fence and laid the posts for the new vinyl fence but they were almost complete with installing the new fence. All that work in ONE day! The new fence looks wonderful - it gives a lot of curb appeal to the house. I absolutely LOVE the walk-in gate that was installed - it automatically locks into place each time someone walks in or out of the yard. This was especially important for me since my lawn service often leaves my fence gate unlatched after cutting the lawn. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. She came out the day after we called. Over the phone she presented various ways to repair or install anew fence. We felt like we wanted a cedar fence, but she explained by using pressure treated posts and cross members(the horizontal pieces) the fence should last longer and about $5-6,000 cheaper. The underground marking personnel from NIPSCO took about three and a half weeks to mark the lines. Once that was done Rojas Fencing was here. The workers worked on one of the most humid and hot days. They removed the old fence and installed the new fence in two days. It looks fantastic. We had AT&T out for a repair and the man wanted to know who did the installation. Rojas did an excellent job and left the area clean and neat. I would strongly recommend Rojas for any fencing needs.

One windy day ( in Chicago how surprising!) somebody ring at my doorbell... your fence is about to fall they said! Do something! OMG!!! around my rooftop there is parking with several cars and people were hurrying and trying to remove their cars ASAP. I go on my rooftop and see the fence all around moving like I was on a sailboat! The fire department and the police came shortly after, alerted by all the neighborhood. I just moved into that house and didn't make any friends after that... finally the fence gave up taking most of the wall with it. What a circus! I was traumatized by the whole experience. The firefighters and police officers were great and secured the area and helped so much. They immediately told me that the fence was just screwed on top of the wall and that was extremely dangerous . I showed the police officer my estimate from fence master and they decided not to give me a citation or a fine because they believed I didn't do anything wrong and I was of good faith. I called fence master and they came to take the fence away. I had to have the wall repaired... $4000...but they ghosted me completely. So I have no fence on my rooftop and that costed me $7500!
