The Chickee bar was recently re-built after the hurricane took it down last year. They did a wonderful job creating the same space. You can enjoy watching football since they have 3 flat screen TV's. I love that they give you a koozie with your beer to keep it cold when you order. Such a nice touch! They also have chips that you can snack on if you want. Well long story short seems like this place is to exclusive for a person who happens to be in the military who wants to spend money at their bar on a holiday about service members. Was asking about the membership then the lady asked to leave because wasn't a member... won't be back and making sure all the service members know who have been before as well.

The parking lot was pretty busy but we were able to grab one of the last spots. On the night we visited, they had live music (Gator Nate) and a tattoo artist set up doing flash tattoos. Definitely a fun and lively spot! I noticed a lot of groups with kids, so I guess it's family-friendly. It was quite loud and crowded but we found a table near the bar. We ordered drinks at the bar - I got the watermelon lime hard seltzer, which was very lightly flavored but refreshing. I also tried the ranch water that they were advertising I think for the event. It was strong and tasty! Nate got a beer that he said was okay, and we shared their version of a spaghett (light beer with Aperol + lemon juice). The drinks were good but I'm so upset that we had just eaten because the food smelled delicious... I need to go back just for the award-winning banh mi dog. I also wanted to try the kimchi burger, the Thai Brussels sprouts, the pizza, etc. The bartenders were all friendly and patient and if I lived in the area, this would be a go-to spot for sure. The octopus was exceptional--easily one of the best I've had and on par with dishes I've enjoyed at Michelin-starred and James Beard-recognized restaurants. Every dish was beautifully prepared and showcased the quality of the ingredients.
