Once I'm done with the workout, I always either hit coffee or a snack at the gas station. Been happy here for years and will continue to be a memeber.

I started my membership with 24 Hour Fitness since around Halloween last year and have been…read morefrequenting this location since it's super nearby to my home, when they were running a good promotion, and overall my experience has been mixed but mostly decent. First, keep in mind that it's no longer actually open 24 hours like it was pre-COVID -- they're currently closed from 11pm to 5am (all week except for holidays). Regardless, the hours are still pretty generous and workable for most schedules. One thing I really like about this location is the variety: There are plenty of workout options and a good range of equipment. The layout is easy to navigate, with strength training on the left and cardio on the right when you walk in. They also have a lot of amenities: a small shop in front for protein shakes and supplements, locker rooms with showers, a basketball court, sauna, steam room, pool, and hot tub. They also offer classes and personal training. I'm an introvert, so I appreciated being able to sign up online without needing to sit down and meet with a staff member. The general gym culture here is also a plus -- most people are respectful and keep to themselves, which makes it easy to focus on your workout. Staff, when present, are friendly enough, though the front desk is not always staffed and entry feels a bit lax since you mostly just scan to check in and walk in. A positive for me has been the yoga classes with Cheryl -- they've helped my body tremendously. I've noticed fewer aches and a big improvement in flexibility since attending regularly. The main reason for my 3-star rating is maintenance and cleanliness. Equipment upkeep can be inconsistent. I've had multiple workouts where I had to try several ellipticals or StairMasters before finding one that actually worked -- screens not turning on, controls not responding, or parts missing or worn. Cleanliness can also be hit or miss, with occasional trash left on the floors. Overall, it's a solid gym with great amenities and class offerings, but better equipment maintenance and more consistent cleaning would really improve the experience.

The pros: As a mother to a toddler this place has been a game-changer for my overall health. The…read morechildcare staff are incredible and the space my daughter gets to play in is fun and clean. Sometimes she doesn't even want to leave! This allows me the time to get a good uninterrupted workout in while knowing she is having a great time. I am truly so grateful to have the space and peace of mind. I also love a couple of the class instructors (Christine? yoga, and a cycle instructor). Was hesitant at first because of the gym feel and demographic, but I feel right at home and have had uplifting and meaningful experiences along with great workouts in these classes. I usually can find what I'm needing for my workouts as well but depends on time of day of course. I wish childcare was available midday for this reason. Locker rooms are always clean and stocked. Cons(ish): Wish the cafeteria was more of a thing. That would be a huge perk. I also wish the outdoor weight area was cleaned up and covered. I hate how crowded the indoor weight area is and this feels like it would be a nice option if there was upkeep. I feel like these things should be included in the cost so hopefully that is on the docket for an upgrade soon.

I must be completely honest! Rio del Oro has a beautiful back yard with all the pools! I have been…read morea member a club since I was 16 years old in many states. Unfortunately, I had to give up my my membership after 6 years due to many factors! Rio del Oro only caters to kids which I completely understand! The only issue is the kids run the place and some of their parents support their bad behavior! I have observed over the years teenagers throwing heavy weights in the pool, a chair thrown in one of the pools, kids crossing lanes to interrupt adults doing lap swims, a young kids yelling as I went for another lap tell his mother mom that I said she was a bitch... I told her it didn't happen.. some dude told her that I didn't like didn't like kids A friend who was a member approached her to let her know she was absolutely beautiful and I never said this... I was accused of hating kids and that I couldn't speak English... etc... Along with saying do you know who I am... Unbelievable! Another member who was 20 minutes late, I let him know he lost his lane.. he got his in my face.. I kept on swimming at which time he tried to crash into me with his body to hurt me! No deck personnel to facilitate the rules! I have written so many incident reports... what's written on the schedule can change out on the deck. The masters swim took over the big pool when they are supposed to be in the 6 lane pool! I have felt like I was in the twilight zone me at this Club! The staff are wonderful.. Like I was told many times by the staff, I only work here.. they said we are the last to know... The staff makes Rio Del Oro awesome.. it's management failing to have deck personnel to rein in the kids and their parents! I have moved on to another gym which takes care of unruly kids and their parents! By the way, I have never ever written a bad review in my lifetime... I spent tons of time at Rio Del Oro that what I observed is the truth.. Rio del Oro Management will respond with their classic statement that this a family oriented club...
