We reached out to K Komfort for two reasons. One, they were rated well here on Yelp, and two, another vendor we reached out to for a quote said it was outside of what they normally handle and recommended K Komfort instead. A technician was first scheduled weeks ago to come out at 8AM to review the situation and provide a quote. He did not leave until 8, and did not arrive until nearly 8:30. He then advised that, he would actually need a 2nd technician / boiler specialist to provide a quote. He called the next day insisting that this second trip would incur a trip charge, despite not having yet provided a quote. I called their office to confirm, but the office person clarified it would only incur a trip charge if they're able to fix the issue during the quote visit (which would absolutely not be possible, given the scope of the work). The second quote meeting was scheduled weeks in advance, this time though with a time window of 8 - 10AM. Finally, the scheduled visit date came. It was nearly 10AM by the time I gave up, called K Komfort, and let them know to cancel the visit. I didn't receive any email, text, or call that anyone was even en route or about any delay, and the person I spoke with didn't bother to apologize for the inconvenience or take ownership of the issue. I have now had to take 5 hours away from my work schedule to accommodate K Komfort, have no quote in hand, and have to start over in the bid/quote process. They're nice enough people, but they absolutely lost our business by failing to provide even a starter quote, possibly trying to charge us before offering a quote, and failing to respect our time. read more

Terrible customer service experience. They installed an AC. Failed so many times. Eventually, consulted another company and they mentioned that the majority of the work had been done incorrectly and I had to replace the AC 5 years after it was installed. read more

everyone is so nice & they came out on a saturday afternoon because my mother in law's furnace was just running & no heat. it apparently was the ignitor. it was out. they also cleaned the flame sensor. very reasonable. i would use them again. they came in a little over a hour. read more

Awesome! Quick efficient service. Was one of the only companies that could come out that same exact day and fix our broken rotor in our heater system. They gave us a quick quote and after accepting was able to start right away. Only took about 1-2 hours after picking up the necessary parts. Too bad I didn't get the name of the worker. read more

K Komfort is the worst, most unprofessional contractor I have ever had to deal with. If I could give them a negative rating I would. The sales person gave a slick presentation stating everything the installation crew would do. We bought in. Worst mistake of our lives. K komfort's website has them listed as a Carrier factory authorized dealer (FAD). Meaning they use NATE certified technicians. The lead tech was not certified and when we asked for proof that anyone was they refused our request. Other companies I called willingly gave the name of the tech that would do the job and his/her NATE ID number. The lead technician put vents in the middle of the rooms nowhere near the exterior walls where the sales person said they would go. When asked about it before actually cutting the vent holes the technician said that the sales person didn't know what he was talking about. They also used a recipricating saw that blew out plaster. I had to give them my dremel tool. They had no shop vac to clean up their mess. We have hydronic heat so the system was installed in the attic. The installation crew used all flex ducting with several runs over 20 feet. Industry specs are 8-10 for flex duct. They used the cheapest grills on the market and put one vent over the sofa with no way to vent the air away from it. We discovered that the boots were not fastened to anything in the attic so when we took off vents to paint we could not get them back on because the screws were into plaster. I had 5 bare vents with no grills on them for 5 months heat just escaping into the attic and condensing in the vents. Water poured out when they redid the ducting to hard pipe. The president suggested adding a cheap plastic diverter. Also installed a plastic pump for the condensate. Inspector questioned it and we asked K komfort for the specs and if it could be installed in an attic (non heated space). Water freezes, expands and breaks plastic.The president said he would get us the specs and never did. The insulation in the attic was thrown all over the place basically leaving it uninsulated in many areas. My heating bills were much higher due to lack of insulation and K komfort has not offered to reimburse me for that. We went back and forth with them for months to fixed the problems. They agreed to move vents and pay to repair the plaster but when my estimate came in too high they said they would get an estimate. That came in 4 times higher. Then we were told " not on our dime" will we do that. We finally got Auer Steel involved (they are not on the customer's side) since they certify contractors. Still trying to find out what FAD means and how it is enforced. The initial install was mid July of 2019 and after 7 months of negotiations and a signed contract stating all that needs to be done in February they came to reinstall. Still haven't completed 2 items. This time they had a NATE certified tech but he was not certified in A/C. Luckily I held back $1500 of payment because the sales person failed to bill correctly. The vice president (Slava) tried to extort this last payment several times before the contract specified it was due. During the negotiations we were hung up on twice by the owner Jane, the president Eugene (who I kicked off the property for insulting us twice during a meeting) and Slava. Once by Slava when he called me and when the conversaion wasn't going they way he wanted he said he was on another call and hung up. K komfort's advertising states cool and comfortable. They sold us a 2 ton system on a quick calc which proved to be too large. The system didn't run long enough to ring the moisture/humidity out. Could not get Eugene to admit that the system was short cycling. Even after the reistall and replacing the 2 ton with a 1 1/2 ton and comissioning by Auer steel the system still seems to short cycle. I did make the final payment and I am sure I will not hear from them again about the last 2 items to be done. They were supposed to be completed by the end of February 2020. Slava asked me to tell him what needs to be done. I said if I have to tell him he will have to pay me for my time. He said he would talk to the tech that did the reinstall and he hasn't gotten back to me yet. It has been 2 weeks. This type of behavior seems to be common for K komfort from other reviews of people that have had problems with them. If you want a huge headache, do business with this company, otherwise steer clear of them. I am sure Slava will respond that he doesn't think he deserves this rating and they did everything they could to make me happy. If Slava wants to make me happy, he can refund me the entire cost of their botched up job so I can have a reputable company redo the work. read more

We had one boiler repaired by This company prior we bought the building.We had called for services multiple times and asked for an estimate without any outcome. We had an excellent experience with K Komfort. After we found out we need a new a/c unit, we called around and were told "a few days" by other companies. Slava came out to our house late on a Monday afternoon to go over our options and within 48 hours we have a new unit up and running. Everyone at K Komfort was friendly and professional. I won't be using KKomfort again. I felt they gouged me on what they charged me. My furnace went out sometime during the night and we called them around 7:00 AM. They came out around 8:15. After looking at my furnace for around 10 minutes the tech showed me what the problem was, a roll out switch. The tech didn't have one on his truck so they ordered one and made arrangements to have another tech come back around noon. The next tech came out and switched out the roll switch in about 20 minutes. When given the bill I questioned the Total Labor charge of $231 and was told it was for parts and labor. I paid and the tech left. I looked up the roll switch on the Internet and saw the cost ranged from $6 to $35. So I ended up paying $231 for a low cost part and 3/4 of an hour work at most plus an $80 diagnostic charge. Total of $328.36 for a cheap part an 3/4 of an hour that they were at my house. This was the second time we have used this company. The first was 2 weeks prior for a cleaning where we were charged more than what we were told on the phone when we set up the appointment. read more

They were nice, the price was competitive and they didn't try to upsell me or sell me services I don't need. I will use them in the future for all my HVAC needs. Showed Up 4 1/2 hours late. When we asked the service tech about getting a discount for the inconvenience, he called the office. The lady on the phone said, "Just tell him you cleaned something for free." I guess she didn't realize she was on speaker. Terrible service and they are liars. Our air condition quit working last night and we called this morning and it is fixed! Eugene came to our house within a few hours and fixed the problem promptly. The price seemed reasonable. Corey did a great job tuning up our AC and checking out our furnace which needed to be replaced, he gave us a nice detailed report that we could submit to our home warranty to help push them along in getting that done. He helped to fix a minor gas leak and was very friendly and knowledgeable, pricing was half of what we expected, but we also used their Yelp deal to save $25!!! read more

Highly recommend this company. Joann was very friendly, professional, and efficient in scheduling the appointment. I was able to get on their calendar within just a few days of calling for an appointment. Clay came out for routine maintenance on my furnace and I couldn't be happier or more impressed with the service. He is knowledgeable, efficient, friendly, and respectful. He even brought and put on his own 'booties' to protect my floors (without my having to ask!). Once he opened the furnace, he showed me the inner workings and clearly explained what I was looking at (mine was clean and in good shape... YEAH!). I needed a couple small parts replaced, and - again - he gave clear explanations, was able to quickly get the parts and install them, and provided additional information and recommendations for the ongoing health and longevity of my furnace. It was an easy experience overall and really boosted my comfort and confidence about my furnace for the coming winter. I highly recommend this company in service, quality, and pricing. read more

I would never ever use them! They are the rudest people. Their customer service is horrible. You schedule an appointment because you have no a/c in 100 degree heat and it has been out for days. They canceled the appointment because we didn't have a warranty on our equipment. I called for service, and I never said don't come if their wasnt a warranty. i have a complaint about their part markup of approximately 1000% on parts. ridiculous. they will gouge your arse out. for far less than 2 hours of work i was charged over six hundred dollars. the majority of the cost was for the duct inducing fan which i found on the internet for 55 to 120 retail. if u don't want to feel like a jack ass then you should call someone else. i don't hate the tech but their unscrupulous business policies deserve some scrutiny and revision. shameless gouging. read more
