During my first treatment, the provider began at lower energy levels and gradually increased the joules, explaining that higher settings are necessary to achieve therapeutic results. As the energy increased, the pain became extremely intense. I could not tolerate the recommended joule levels required for optimal results. Because of the discomfort, the settings had to be reduced to a lower level. I later learned that lowering the joules meant the treatment would likely not reach therapeutic effectiveness. I did not immediately complain. I understood that Thermage results take time, and I waited approximately 3.5 months -- the timeframe I was told results would begin to appear. After waiting the full period, I saw no visible improvement. At that point, I reached out to express my concerns. I was told that the treatment can feel "spicy" and that pushing through higher energy levels is often necessary for best results. I did not appreciate that I was told by a representative to just push through the pain. However, the pain at those levels was not something I could physically tolerate, but after the treatment was done they ran away with my money. To make matters worst, if you get any loan through LaserAway, the financial bank will side with LaserAway as they state they have not authority to overturn their decision. Even after I there were no results and the pain was intolerable. High way robbery. I ultimately decided not to proceed with additional treatments because I could not endure the energy levels required to achieve meaningful results. LaserAway cancelled the remaining unused services and issued a partial refund, but I was still held responsible for the cost of the initial treatment -- even though it could not be performed at therapeutic levels due to pain tolerance and resulted in no visible improvement after the full waiting period. My concern is not simply that "results may vary." My concern is that patients should clearly understand before purchasing that optimal results may require tolerating significant discomfort at higher energy levels, and that if you cannot tolerate those levels, you may still be financially responsible even if no results occur. If you don't have a high threshold for pain, I strongly recommend asking very direct questions about: * Expected pain intensity * Required joule levels for results * What happens if you cannot tolerate those levels * Financial obligations if results are not achieved Make sure you are fully comfortable with both the physical and financial commitment before proceeding. My biggest disappointment was not only the outcome, but also the lack of follow-up. After both appointments, I was NEVER contacted to see how i was healing or whether I had any concerns. As a client making a significant financial investment, I expected a higher level of communication and aftercare. I understand that every injector has a different approach and every patient may have a different experience. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time and went above and beyond to make sure I was relaxed. She also explained step by step what was being done and the benefits of everything she was doing. While I was getting my facial she had relaxing music, and the products smell so clean and fresh that it added to the experience. I was literally blown away by the procedure as well as the results. She is extraordinarily light with needles compared to other practitioners I've had for fillers and Botox, perhaps because she is an anesthesiologist. She is also prompt in returning calls and answering questions. However, her current receptionist is rather rude. I paid with a partial amount of cash and the majority on my credit card. After the transaction was done she told me I did not pay her the cash as I did first before the credit card. She pulled up her keyboard and took out all the cash that had been paid and told me it was not my cash. I think partially because she seems a little out of it or maybe having an off day. There's more professional and efficient ways to handle a transaction and cash than shoving it under your keyboard and accusing your customers of not paying when they now had no more cash in their wallet. Also she did not apologize once she realized that I had paid her which made me upset. Normally you expect people to be a little more forgiving for their mistakes. Also after this she did not say bye and I felt like she displays zero curtesy after that incident. The hours need to be fixed on the door and on Yelp as I'm not sure what they really are. During my HCG round I tried to stop in several times on different days between 10-1 and typically found no one was there and no one was answering the phone. As for the HCG it basically teaches you how to retrain your eating habits and be aware of what you put into your mouth. It's a grueling diet and you get sick of what you've been eating for the past month. Anyone will lose weight eating less than 500 calories a month. I lost the weight as suggested and kept it off. I lost the same amount of fat as I would have by eating clean. I workout 4/5 times a week and continued doing so on this diet. However I was very dizzy, had migraines, was moody, and my hair felt out like after being pregnant. I don't feel like there is any real coaching provided with this diet more just a weigh in and they've never heard of anyone with the symptoms I had. Hormones are a crazy thing to intervene with.

I followed back after 2-3 weeks since I never heard back from Rachel so I texted them again and received similar response. 2 mo after first reaching out, I have not heard from Rachel. As a health care provider it is difficult getting time off for an appointment to follow up with the same injector so I might have to go back to the Elk Grove office now (although it seemed that the dysport was too diluted there initially)
