Very friendly service. Very knowledgeable and not pushy. The facility was very clean and well maintained.

I'm sharing my experience so others can make a fully informed decision before committing financially. I purchased a Thermage package and financed it through Health Care Finance Direct (HFD.) During my first treatment, the provider began at lower energy levels and gradually increased the joules, explaining that higher settings are necessary to achieve therapeutic results. As the energy increased, the pain became extremely intense. I could not tolerate the recommended joule levels required for optimal results. Because of the discomfort, the settings had to be reduced to a lower level. I later learned that lowering the joules meant the treatment would likely not reach therapeutic effectiveness. I did not immediately complain. I understood that Thermage results take time, and I waited approximately 3.5 months -- the timeframe I was told results would begin to appear. After waiting the full period, I saw no visible improvement. At that point, I reached out to express my concerns. I was told that the treatment can feel "spicy" and that pushing through higher energy levels is often necessary for best results. I did not appreciate that I was told by a representative to just push through the pain. However, the pain at those levels was not something I could physically tolerate, but after the treatment was done they ran away with my money. To make matters worst, if you get any loan through LaserAway, the financial bank will side with LaserAway as they state they have not authority to overturn their decision. Even after I there were no results and the pain was intolerable. High way robbery. I ultimately decided not to proceed with additional treatments because I could not endure the energy levels required to achieve meaningful results. LaserAway cancelled the remaining unused services and issued a partial refund, but I was still held responsible for the cost of the initial treatment -- even though it could not be performed at therapeutic levels due to pain tolerance and resulted in no visible improvement after the full waiting period. My concern is not simply that "results may vary." My concern is that patients should clearly understand before purchasing that optimal results may require tolerating significant discomfort at higher energy levels, and that if you cannot tolerate those levels, you may still be financially responsible even if no results occur. If you don't have a high threshold for pain, I strongly recommend asking very direct questions about: * Expected pain intensity * Required joule levels for results * What happens if you cannot tolerate those levels * Financial obligations if results are not achieved Make sure you are fully comfortable with both the physical and financial commitment before proceeding. I can't say enough about my experience at LaserAway in Elk Grove. From the moment I walked in, the front desk team set the tone. Mia and another beautiful young woman with long curly hair (I didn't catch her name, but wish I had!) were beyond genuine and accommodating. They understood I had a flight to catch and went out of their way to squeeze me into the schedule so I could be seen. That type of flexibility and kindness is rare, and it really stood out. Then came Freya Jay -- and wow. She's truly one-of-a-kind. Freya embodies both the grounding calm of Mother Nature and the compassion of Florence Nightingale. I've met plenty of medical staff through family connections in the healthcare field, but never have I encountered a nurse as caring and thorough as her. She took time to walk me through every part of the treatment, explained what to expect during and after, and never once felt rushed. Her bedside manner was impeccable, blending professionalism with genuine empathy. If anyone deserves recognition, it's Freya. She's the kind of person who makes you feel safe, cared for, and valued -- so much so that I'd honestly book a flight back here just to have her as my nurse for future treatments. I have no complaints about the nurses, their treatments, or the service at other locations. However, this location has some of the worst front desk customer service I've experienced. I arrived on time for my appointment, and at other locations, they usually start my numbing session right away. Here, I waited for about 12 minutes, and there was no one at the front desk. I saw someone talking to a client in one of the rooms, so I flagged her down. She gave me a look and said, "I'm with a patient." I understand that, but I'm also a patient and deserve to be acknowledged. After I received my numbing cream, I had to wait more than 45-55 minutes before the nurse came into my room. By then, the numbing cream had started to wear off, and the treatment was very painful. I really dislike when this happens--when they leave you waiting with the numbing cream on and don't start the treatment on time. I'll try to book at another location in the future. read more

Using my husband account: i wanted to give laser away another chance so I went in to a different laser away location and it was way different and better (Roseville). They offered me water and headbands for my facials! I have done a facial at this location months back and it was not good! I can get a better facial experience elsewhere for less than $200. Staff is okay but they are usually quick to get you in an out at this location. It's not consistent. read more

DO NOT GET LASER ON YOUR FACE. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE AND ZERO COMPASSION. This review is regarding my overall experience at this LaserAway location and a phone conversation I had with the service director, Corinne. About 13 months ago, I contacted LaserAway for laser hair removal on my upper lip. At the time, I was encouraged to upgrade to a promotional package for full face and underarms for only a few hundred dollars more. Trusting their recommendation, I purchased a package of 10 sessions. After completing all 10 sessions, I was extremely disappointed with the results. Instead of reduction, the hair on my face grew back thicker, darker, and harsher. I contacted LaserAway to express my concerns and was advised to purchase a maintenance package of three additional sessions, which I paid for. I was explicitly told that if I was still unhappy after those sessions, I could call back and receive a complimentary treatment and they would explore additional options. After finishing the maintenance sessions and seeing no improvement--only worsening results--I called again. I explained that I wanted to purchase 10 more sessions, but also wanted to use the complimentary session that had been promised due to my lack of results. At that point, I was told that LaserAway no longer offers complimentary services because they were "being abused" and because the company has expanded. I was also told there was no note on my account, and therefore nothing could be done. I emphasized that I had been a loyal customer for over a year and had invested well over $1,000 just on my face. I asked how offering one complimentary session could possibly outweigh my willingness to continue investing in additional packages. Instead of empathy or solutions, I was told that because of my complexion, the service may not work for me, and that I needed to come in for a consultation with a nurse. This was extremely frustrating, as I have already spoken to nurses multiple times, and every visit I was told the laser was set at the highest level. No one previously suggested that my complexion would prevent results. The suggestion felt dismissive and contradictory. Throughout my conversation with Corinne, I felt completely unheard and unvalued. Rather than addressing my specific concerns, she spoke in generalities about "customer journeys," which had nothing to do with my situation. There was no compassion, no accountability, and no effort to retain me as a customer. Ultimately, I was told that I should seek services elsewhere and that there was nothing she could do. It is incredibly disappointing to invest this amount of money and time, experience worsening results, and then be met with indifference and a lack of understanding from management. Being promised one thing by staff and later told by a director that it no longer applies--without any attempt to make it right--is unacceptable. I will not be continuing services here and strongly caution others, especially those considering facial laser treatments, to think twice. Ladies look into electrolysis if you are seeking PERMANENT results and also if you don't wanna be told that your period and the color or complexion of your face will determine if lasered hair removal is going to work for you because that was what I was told at the end of my conversation Corrine. I want to emphasize the lack of customer service that was provided today. I want to emphasize on the lack of compassion that I did not receive. And I also want to emphasize on the promises. I went there last May, June and August for a treatment. Most of the employees were great and they had a good deal for the cool sculpting. Did it make a difference... I would say yes, but remember you have to eat healthy also, and keep a workout routine to keep the progress going. read more

So far I only did laser hair removal once so I cannot comment on the results yet. However, I would like to address an issue with LaserAway. My appointment got cancel twice the last minute (1-2 day before the appointment) and the next availability they scheduled me is two weeks after. I really don't like how they cancel my appointments so casually due to NURSE NOT AVAILABLE AT THAT TIME. I do not understand. I booked my appointment after my first appointment AT THE SITE. Why would the staff book me an unavailable time and cancel the last second? It is not very professional nor considerate I tried to book my appointments through the app. My appointment was confirmed in the app but when I called the customer service, the staff told me the appointment I booked through the app was actually not available...? Don't do business with them. I keep getting the run around. I've been calling for months and have not received my refund due to a really bad and painful reaction. The number I had for Tracy no longer works. When I call the office or corporate they say they send emails to Tracy and her manager but still nothing. I spent a lot of money buying an entire body package. They never have room to actually get you in for a larger appointment. It was a pain every single time. Multiple times my appointments would be made wrong or parts left off. I routinely waited 10-20 plus minutes for my appointment which makes me laugh that their texts say they have a 5 minute grace period. They don't pay us for waiting. Each girl does things different and you cannot pick who you want. Some are not as thorough as others. I have had decent results so as far as laser hair removal it worked okay, I bought touch up because I had "free money" from my package but I can not wait to be done with them. I had 10 sessions 4 weeks apart, light skin/dark hair and I followed before and after care meticulously. I had no noticeable change in hair growth rate. I have been to my doctor as well and my hormones are all fine. I'm so disappointed and frustrated that I spent $2700 for nothing. I did notice each person I had was different. She gave me a "great" package with lots of discounts. However when I requested a refund I would have to pay full price for the services I had received. I don't recommend this location for laser. Reason being my appointment got canceled 3 time in the row. I will attach the screenshot of the confirmation. When I ask the front desk she told me that she don't know how i cancel my appointment. That was so rude. She said May be I told them to cancel. This happen 3 time. Sometimes you gotta treat yourself... and this is the place to do that! I recently decided to try out the one thing I haven't done for my skin, the Clear and Brilliant Laser Facial. It's not your average facial, but rather one done with a laser that helps your skin rejuvenate collagen and even skin texture. I used to have small insecurities about my face, but it has helped my skin look so much better overall. Especially important to use their BFF sunscreen though, that stuff is 50+ SPF and is tinted. It even works great as a primer under makeup!! read more

I really hope people read this review and stay away. The company makes fake promises and just takes your money. I have been getting treatments and expressing I'm not getting results. Many areas are missed and the laser is not turned up enough to get results. I went up as far as trying to contact TRACY CHRISTENSEN LOCATION DIRECTOR FOLSOM & ELK GROVE. I have now sent 3 emails but yet to receive a reply. Sadly they sign you up make it seem like it's amazing and tell you will have no hair left in the areas but when you you start getting your treatments done the story starts to change to some people do some people need more treatments etc. but when I asked about the level they turn the laser up to (after telling them multiple times I don't feel any kinda of pain or needle pricks) they sent me another bill to access my patient medical history. This made no sense I work in healthcare and we don't even charge our patients why would laser away??? I have lost so much respect for this company and sadly tell all my friends and family not to come here. I paid 2k just for my current package with next to no results. Staff is nice but the treatment rooms are dirty and dusty. Laser hair treatment is ineffective. Xeomin is not done properly. It's impossible to speak to the manager with any concerns. Understaffed so getting timely appointments are impossible. Expect to wait a couple months for anything. I cannot recommend this place. This place was a huge disappointment especially for the amount of money I spent. Go somewhere better. You will waste your time and money here. read more
