On Friday (6/23/17) my friend Patrice Bonilla-Sexton and I went to get pedicures. She just had back surgery so she can't bend to paint her toes and she, graciously, offered to pay for mine so we could have a girls date. I offered to give her a gel manicure. It was settled. We went to K Nails in Kennedy Plaza, excited for a little relaxation. What we got was anything but. She made us both appointments for 6:30, the last appointments of the night. The manager did my pedicure and Linda did Patrice's. Linda kept complaining about how short Patrice's nails were and the manager scalded me multiple times. He pulled my nails over the cuticle while trimming (which hurt) and cut my nails to the quick. My feet are still covered in dead skin and my heels, nothing but calluses. The PAINT JOBS?! Linda did such an awful job that I'm amazed she calls herself a professional. It looked like a toddler painted Patrice's toes. There was paint all over her skin and cuticles and it looked like there was no top coat at all. Mine were not as bad, but still ridiculously amateur. Streaky, no shine to the finish, NO polish in some places, and the manager put another top coat on my big toes as I was walking out the door to try to disguise this. When we got into the daylight we were APPALLED at how awful Patrice's toes looked. We went back moments later but they had closed early. Patrice planned to contact them the following day (Sat. 6/24/17). However, that morning, half of my big toenail fell off. I was very upset, as you can probably imagine. I posted pictures and a detailed account of everything that had happened to their Facebook, as they do not have the option to message them privately. They did not respond, so Patrice called, then went to the shop to speak to them. They were rude, arrogant, told her that only her little toe was a mess and it was her fault because it was too short. They kept insisting that we "messed up" our nails after we left the shop. When Patrice told them about my broken nail and tried to show them the picture they insisted that I come in and show them. I did. And brought them the large chunk of toenail in a baggie. They told me that, because it is my natural nail, "that just happens" and, you guessed it, that was, also, MY FAULT. I asked how my nail was fine when I came to them and why he was pulling my nail over the cuticle and the owner and manger rolled their eyes and scoffed at me. Finally the owner barked "What you want?!" I answered "Compensation for my friend. She paid you a ridiculous amount of money for two of the worst pedicures I've ever seen." At this, he ignored me and walked over to another customer. This is how the owner/manager/nail painters (it's an insult to real techs to call them that) treat customers at this place. She has been offered nothing but another paint job for both of us. This man is so cocky that he thinks we would let anyone in that place touch us again! So now, I have half of a big toenail, and two pedicures to do because the ones that Patrice paid for were embarrassing and, even painful

They are ok but I was charged $27 for an acrylic fill and cut down. Way to much and shape was done poorly

One of my nails broke 2days after receiving services nail shape is not precise and not worth the price

I thought I would give this place a shot since it is close to my dog groomer while I waited. I had Tony and he was rough with the electric file, didn't soak my nails, did not clip my cuticles/push them back (I asked if he could do this and he said he could only file them more which he already hurt me with it, I politely declined). Unfortunately, they look like they are already a week grown out already and I just left. He didn't have me wash my hands at all, no cuticle oil at the end so my nails are all dusty and dry. These photos are from when I just got home from the salon 20 minutes ago. On top of it my "dip" full set nails are tie dye. They're all faded and wonky- nothing like a freshly done manicure should be. I've had dip nails done at VIP in the town center and never had this weird ripple effect. Overall Tony seemed like a nice guy but I was paying for a clean, even manicure. Also, I have very short nails and he kept commenting on how something could have been better but my nails are so short. I've never had anyone previously have a problem with my short nails, or blame me for something being wrong because of my natural nails. Sadly, it was a waste of my money so hopefully whoever reading this does not make my mistake. Stick with what you know :)

It's not ok to give subpar service and refuse to make it right. It's also not ok to treat your customers like crap.

Not only is the service bad but the customer service is bad too. Rude and untalented techs. If you want a waste money go to K Nails.

Literally the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon and they knew I was very unhappy with…read morethe service, they should be ashamed to treat people this way. Arrived at 2:20, no one helped me till 3:30 and I was out by 4:05 so you can imagine how great my nails look. I live in Sheraden but I was getting my nails done in Etna near my exes place but we broke up and I'm not trying to go all the way over there for my nails. so I'm looking for a new nail place. I prefer to get dip or gel builder on my natural nails. I called hours ahead to make an appointment---now this place takes walk ins but I'm busy and I tip well so I expect to have a an appointment when I arrive. No there's no one available to help me for my 2:30 appt , they make me soak my whole hands in acetone for an HOUR. The man who helped me was rude and yelled at me repeatedly to keep my hands in gross ass (resuable containers) of acetone instead of using a cotton ball, foil and what, 15 minutes? I told him it was hurting me. Told multiple employees. They we're having me soak that long bc they had 3 nail technicians helping 6 people. The other two nail techs seemed nice, embarrassed by his behavior ignoring me when Im obviously about to walk TF out. I should have walked out after 30 mins but no I sat there like an asshole for over an hour, then he was rough with me, fucked up my cuticles (was legit filing my cuticles like a psycho) totally disregarded the shape I asked for in nail. Worst experience, if he reads this.. I left you a tip just so you know I can because of how you treated me...your service was HORRIBLE.

Bad experience with an unprofessional staff member who come to work with personal problems and…read moretakes it out on clients.
