Went in for a fill and pedi. I was a walk-in. The lady who did my pedi was very patient. I changed my mind about the color 3x. This was probably the best massage I ever had for a pedi! My fill was done by Hannah. She was very meticulous and made sure that rough edges were smooth and the color was even. The salon is very clean and the workers are friendly and attentive. Liyah is an amazing nail tech and all around person! She genuinely cares about the comfort of her customers and makes sure that they are completely happy with their final product. If your break a nail or if something isn't up to your standards, she has no problem fixing it and making sure you're happy and love them! I flew in to Pittsburgh for a wedding and really needed a mani/pedi. I found this fantastic place on Yelp. There were a number of options but the reviews helped me select this spa. The owner and two other employees welcome everyone that comes in the spa. My manicure and pedicure are both absolutely beautiful and the massages were great. My friend and I made an appointment for a mani and pedi. We both had our pedicures first, I had to wait a while before the nail tech came to start mine. I didn't mind because at least my feet were soaking and I was able to chat with my friend- but the water was too hot. The staff were friendly enough, but nothing that would make me want to go back. I have been looking for a nail salon that is clean, reasonably priced for good work and fume free. I can't believe I'm the only one who gets a headache from those other salons that don't believe in using fans. The first thing I noticed when I walked in was that the place was clean and I didn't smell the fumes from all of the chemicals. Winner!!! There is a hair salon to the right that has pedicure massage chairs too in addition to the ones in the main entrance.I was greeted and asked what services I wanted. It was time for a mani/pedi...these dawgs especially needed pumice and a good rub and a good rub I got. As a matter of fact, my hand and arm was massaged during my mani too. Omg...Joanne put her back into it. It truly felt good! What made my visit fun was the conversation. I wanted to rekax but I really liked talking to Joanne and it wasn't constant. It was just enough to pass the time and make me want to return. My manicures normally last a week if not shellac. It will be a week in a few days and I have 2 chips but I can't blame the place because I'm kinda hard on my nails. Needless to say, I will be returning soon! Liyah is a nail goddess! I have been going faithfully to Liyah for almost two years. She is a wonderful, kind, and caring person. Liyah is super talented and passionate about her work. I have crazy work hours, but Liyah is flexible. She always works with me, so that I can continue to book appointments with her. I have never left her chair unsatisfied. I've been going to Hanna at N&T Nails regularly for the past couple of years, and she consistently does a great job. She has a nice assortment of colors in both regular polish and shellac, and several matching sets for fingers and toes. I've had pedicures done by other members of her staff, and they never disappoint. The massage chairs are a nice bonus. They recently added a spray tan booth which I haven't tried yet, but hope to soon being that I'm about as fair as they come! They are open six days a week, and always try their best to accommodate everyone. Overall, quality work done in a clean and unpretentious atmosphere. read more

So I was hesitant at first to go to N & T but the reviews on here led me to try them out. I used to get my nails a lot but after so many bad experiences and what not I stopped and haven't had my nails done in a couple years. I called earlier that day and made an appointment but haven't been there before so I said I didn't prefer anyone. I walked in and immediately was greeted by a lady doing someone's nails and signed and in and she said we'll be with you in a minute. The store had three people getting nails done and lady getting a pedi, seemed busy which is good. I didn't ask the guy who did my full set acrylics his name but he was younger than the other guy that was there. I was confused when he asked me do I want pink and white at first then I was like ok yea pink/clear polish and white French tip polish. He started my nails and the one thing I HATE is when they use the electric filer on your nail, I've had so many bad experiences with those at other places (drilling through my nail) but he started filing them and he went really SLOW and GENTLE and I was immediately relieved and so happy. He started my acrylic and he did white acrylic and pink/clear acrylic on top. I really didn't want that, I just wanted them clear acrylic and painted but oh well.. he did a good job all and all but my thumb French tip is crooked (I'll post pics) and I told him I wanted them filed more round around the edges and he did but I feel like they are still too pointy. Also I don't like WIDE acrylics, I asked him to file them alittle more and he said ohh you like them skinny and smiled. But I feel like some of them are still too wide. He was nice and the rest of the staff was nice and I liked the environment. All and all I liked the experience and I would probably go back. I think my problems were because I haven't had my nails done in sooo long I didn't communicate what I wanted clearly so I guess that's my fault, I don't know. But I am still mad about my French tip being crooked, not my fault haha. If I go again I will ask for the lady that was there. It seemed like she had her day booked and everyone was going to her. He did do a GOOD job and he was nice to me. I liked that the place was clean and atmosphere was nice. It was $45 for what I got. Paid cash and tipped. read more

I am a firm believer that any company that offers medical insurance that covers mental health should have a bi-weekly pedicure package. It's just good for the soul. I recently stopped in for a mani/pedi ($37...not bad) so I could get painted up in some fun summer neons. I am embarrassed to admit that my little piggies were NOT in the best of condition...my soles were worn and my toes were in dire need of attention. I was totally embarrassed to sit in the chair and have someone touch my war-torn feet. The pedicurist, K, made me feel more than comfortable. I made it clear that I was embarrassed by the condition of my feet and he assured me that they were not that bad (he is too kind). He took careful care of my super ticklish feet and made my feet anew. He also humored me in talking about the intense complexities of the neon color trends that have returned for 2012. It was deep conversation. Moving on to my mani. I keep my finger nails in very good condition and he complimented me several times on them-I was flattered, as I take pride in them! One of my precious babies had a crack in them and I was more than a little nervous to trust my cracked nail in the hands of a stranger. He cared for my cracked nail and gave me a few tips on how to treat it while it is growing out. After carefully painting a fabulous electric lemon shade on my fingers to match my hot pink toes, he sent me on my way. He made it a point to learn my name and use it in our conversation several times. Very personal touch. He gained my trust and I would love to go see him again the next time I visit the salon. read more

I called to make pedicure reservations and it was quick and easy plus the woman on the phone was friendly. N & T is located in a small shopping lot and we had no issues parking right out in front of the salon. The salon is small but is clean and was busy with people - I take this as always a good sign. Our pedicures were efficiently done and they let us stay in our chairs while our nails dried which was nice because we could continue to chat. Prices are reasonable too. In addition to the great service that we received - we were both happy with our finished toes! - I was able to add tip to the credit card I used. I would return here again. read more

My review is just on service. I've not been to the salon but called in to get a gift certificate for my aunt who is a frequent visitor. For a small business you can't necessarily expect online ordering. The owner made it very easy to purchase over the phone and texted me a pic of the certificate she was sending on my behalf. The staff was very friendly and the environment was relaxing. Only thing I wish was a little better was the massage chairs. My didn't fully work :/ but overall, great experience. N&T is great if you get Hannah or Lisa. I think they're sisters and they both take their time and do a great job. But whenever I've been placed with anyone else there, it's average to below average service. Lynn was precise and a perfectionist and didn't miss one detail - she did not rush like the other places in the area and was so friendly. I loved the experience! She was amazing and today I'm leaving for my vacation and my nails are shiny and I feel great - I am very picky and travel constantly and tried every salon in the area - and this one is the one I'll be staying with for now on!!!! I get a mani pedi every two weeks and have for 10 years. I travel for work so I have had service all over the county. This place is in my top 5 of worst places I have been to. I picked this place because it was close and had good reviews. I made an appointment for a pedicure and gel manicure and here is what happened. Pedicure: I sat down and put my feet in cold water so that was not a great start. I then asked if they had a menu so I could see there services. I was given a price list. I asked what services were in a regular pedicure vs a deluxe pedicure. Their deluxe pedi is $45. That is about $10-12 dollars more than any other place I have been in any state. The nail Tech really could not answer my questions. So I finally asked does the Delux pedi include at least 15 mins of massage, a mask, sugar scrub, callous removal and paraffin wax. I was told yes and more "good things". So even though it was more than what I normally pay I was ok trying it. She started by trying to removed my regular nail polish. She argued with me that I had on gel polish. I did not. I never get gel on my toes and would have remembered it I had! She insisted that it was gel and could not be taken off by polish remover. So after much arguing ( I should have got up and left here) I gave in. Sure enough she cut me SEVERAL time filing the regular polish off my nails. To my surprise the whole pedi took less than 30 mins. There was NO PARAFFIN AND NO MESSAGE. There was NO LOTION OR OIL in my pedicure! She did not apply the callous gel correctly. She put it on, spayed alcohol on my feet then washed it off! She dropped several tools and pick them up off the ground and KEPT USING THEM. None of the tools came out of auto clave bags. The callous removing tool had plastic on it meaning it can not go in an auto clave. She put tools in the water with my feet and left them there. There was NO LOTION OR OIL in my pedicure! I got quick sugar scrub, a clay mask, a gel mask and my pedi was over. I asked her three times were the other services were and she just kept say "done" . I also asked her several times to trim my nails and said kept saying she did. She barely trimmed half of them! To top it all off she did not shake the polish and put one nasty think lumpy coat on my nails. Also the whole time she was wearing old navy dish gloves. She also put her hand into the produce tubs instead of using a clean scoop to take it out. NOT CLEAN! She used the same ones for the person after me. So I have dry feet, that still have callouses, crappy polish, long toe nails, and I have several cuts on my toes. So glad I paid $45 for that. After this I moved to the gel manicure. It was basic and fast but she did a good job. They switch people half way though when I person need to go some nail art. Again none of the tools came out out auto clave bags! I kept looking at my toes and was so pissed off. I told her that I needed someone to repaint my nails. She said she would. I picked a different polish just incase the original was old ( trying to be positive ) Next I found out the did brow threading. The woman that did it was very nice so I decided to let her to them. She did a fine job but the room I went in was very very dirty. Glad I was not getting waxed! At this point I am still pissed about my pedi and am ready to get my toes re painted and get out of there. I was not happy when the same lady that did my pedi told me to sit down so she could re paint my nails! Again she did not shake the polish. I stopped her and told her that she needed to shake it. I then told her she needed to do 2 coast and not just one. They still looked like crap but I was over it. This is the first time I have never left a tip for service. I left very very bad for the other people that did my two other services but after paying $45 for something I was so unhappy with I was not giving out any more money. SKIP THIS PLACE! read more

Picked this place based on previous reviews that I read online. From what I read, this was a good choice and I was rather excited for my nail appointment. When we arrived, the women in the shop asked what I was there for and I explained that my friend and I had an appointment for one full set and one fill. One women promptly asked me if I was there for a pedicure, and to this, I explained once again that I had an appointment for a fill and that my friend had an appointment for a full acrylic set. Then, she proceeded to ask my friend if she wanted a pedicure. Again, we explained that that wasn't what we came for. Another women approached me and told me to sit in a chair, and I did this. We did not realize at the time that my friend was not going to have her nails done until mine were nearly completed. It seemed as though the pedicure woman could only paint my nails (french tip) but could not perform the gel (and everything else that goes on when having a fill). The first lady took on my friend's nails after mine and completed hers. The first woman also tore off skin around two of my nails, which caused me to bleed and once pedicure woman took over, she used nail polish remover that stung in those cuts. The pedicure woman did mine and I was very disappointed. After more than an hour, she finished my nails but would not paint a second clear coat, leaving them textured-looking. The white tips are not even and are too large. Then I sat and had my nails dry for about 20-25 minutes and after leaving the store, I went to fix my shoe and messed up one entire nail. You would think after sitting and patiently allowing my nails to dry that they would have been dry... Overall, most of the women in the shop were nice, except for the pedicure woman. However, next time I may spend more money so I can have nails that I enjoy looking at. Not a good experience or good value. read more

It was very nice, and the woman was very friendly, however, it was a bit rushed since she was about to leave. Gel mani was $30--not the best I've had, but, certainly not the worst.
