When we went, they told us they were full, and my daughter came in from out of town. Very unprofessional. I had tried this salon many months ago, and they messed up my pedicure while still there, and made me wait over an hour to get it touched up. I always struggled finding places that can do nice intricate designs well AND have pricing that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I've come back multiple times for extensions and a complex design, and every time I've left smiling and satisfied. I walked in mid week when It was close to closing time, and although they didn't have anyone free for the service I wanted, they easily fit me in at a time I wanted the next day. I was met promptly and the young woman giving me my Mani Pedi was quiet and very thorough. As she warmed up with a few questions I found her kind, knowledgeable and very friendly. She had a gentle touch and definitely knew her tools and materials well. My leg and foot massage refreshed me and they had good quality moisturizing products. Beautiful polish job. My manicure was also very well done. There is nothing fancy about the decor but it is clean well maintained and they keep a huge variety of products. Came to this nail salon when I was in the Charlottesville area for a work trip. I got a acrylic nail fill with a shape change and a gel pedicure. They did my nails quickly and efficiently! My pedicure was also wonderful and timely. They gave a nice leg massage as well. After a few days my polish on the corners chipped but I feel like that's expected with most nail salons. Overall, this was a very efficient nail salon with professional workers. They also took me as their last appointment of the day so that was very kind of them. I wouldn't recommend you go to this shop. The nail technician cut my finger. The cut is on the side of my index finger. The worse part is that she never apologized. I told her I wouldn't pay for the manicure. Her response was that I should pay because wait for it..."it didn't bleed a lot." Yes, those where her words. Prior to the issue of payment coming up she said that the nail polish wouldn't touch the cut. However, after I refused to pay for the manicure, she decided to punish me by not painting my nails. This was fine by me because I didn't want to take the risk of an infection and the polish would only make my finger hurt more. I thought I was being more than generous because I paid for the pedicure. She did a decent job on my feet. In retrospect, I regret paying anything at all. If you want to pay to have your fingers injured, by all means this is the place for you. As for me, never again! read more

When we called to let them know, we were gonna be a couple minutes late. They told us just drive safe and get here as soon as you can. I really appreciated that. This place was fantastic! A friend and I made an appointment for 6:15. A few people were finishing up as we left, but for the majority of the time we were the only people in the salon. The COVID protocols were excellent, with masks never being taken off and a shield between us and the technician. Everything felt very clean. It only took about 35 minutes for a full set of acrylics and gel polish, which was awesome, and the price was very reasonable. The only thing that could have been done better was the hand massage at the end. I love a good nail salon massage and that part felt very rushed to me, basically just putting a bit of lotion on and rubbing it in. Add two more minutes of attention there and this place would get 5 starts from me. I'll definitely be back! read more

I have mixed feelings about the salon. The spa pedicure was nice (really good massage and the massage chair is great!). They barely did any callous work (just a quick two swipes with a sponge thing), but whatever. It is reasonably priced, but I did bring my husband here and they charged us the same despite him not getting any polish... which is absurd that they do not have a men's pedicure. Overall it was lovely and I would do it again, but I will not bring my husband back. I've now had multiple manicures that I was unimpressed with. They essentially don't do a hand massage (they will put lotion on your hand and then that is all, no rubbing). Last time I went I asked for two colors- one as a base, and one on top to add shimmer- and was simply told no...... Also at least twice now I've had issues with bubbles in the polish, which they do not really care to fix. The color selection (for regular polish) is a bit outdated and many bottles look like the polish is separated and cracked. When you sit to dry your nails, they put you in these plastic fold up chairs that are insanely uncomfortable. They do accept tips on Venmo, which is awesome. Also, as others mentioned, it is in an unsafe area. So lots of pros and cons. read more

This is my go to spot out here in Charlottesville. I've been here about 3x now and I'm always happy! They do a great job and there are 3 of them that work here. They are the best pricing on The whole city. Believe me I have checked. They offer a basic pedi for $22 that covers all the basics then you can upgrade. As for me, just clean up the dead skin and make them pretty. Please don't forget the massage. They never have let me down. I love chatting with them. i made an appointment with thanh who is my go to nail tech but i guess they heard tom so they put me with her instead of thanh, which i was fine with because i have been here before and have been okay with all the nail techs. I showed tom a picture of the nails that i wanted and said i will only do the design if you can execute it. once she finished the french tips she asks another lady to come over to paint the bow. the other lady tries to do it and shows me. since she was not able to do what i showed her, i said i will be fine without the bow and that i was not going to keep the bow. Tom came back and wiped the bow off. this is where things take a turn. i hear Tom talking in vietnamese to the other nail techs about how i am "khó chịu" meaning difficult to please. unfortunately for her i was able to understand what she was saying about me in vietnamese which i found to be disrespectful and unprofessional. she continued talking in vietnamese about me and was being unfriendly at this point. this entire nail appointment, i only mentioned to her two other times what i wanted fixed on my nails, as she was the one who inquired whether or not the nails were okay. i don't believe i was being a difficult customer as i do not believe in paying and settling for something i was not satisfied with but i did pay in full. i have been here many times and have had great experiences with the other nail techs here so this experience will not stop me from coming back. read more

The nail artist gave a super long leg massage (that was stated in the Bella deluxe pedi description but this was actually a legit 10 minute or so leg massage which i thoroughly enjoyed). Everything else was standard but I've had so many bad experiences lately that not making me bleed or cry out in pain now deserves 5-stars. The polish job does look good though and they seemed to take their time on a good mani/pedi. It cost $62 for a dipping powder mani and bella deluxe pedi which I felt was definitely worth the service.
