Obviously that is not true, but they were pretty aggressive with their opinions. Do your research and know exactly what you have before you consider selling here. They deal in whatever they can make a buck on, and obviously are not experts in the field of fine jewelry. Take the time to find a buyer who appreciates the true value of your jewelry, clientele of the pawn shop most likely are not these people. I'm not saying they were disrespectful, they seemed nice enough, but had very limited knowledge in jewelry. I had also talked to them about diamonds, and they kind of just glazed over when I talked about cut, color, and clarity. They assigned diamond values based on carat weight alone. Proceed with caution.

The ring had some sizing beads on the band, to keep it from twirling. They sized the ring and took the beads off. I gave it back to them to fix. They made it dangerously large and now the band is so thin I'm afraid it will break. it is still not the correct size. I paid for all my jewelry and left. At one point, I went back to get my watches and the counter person was convinced I had just picked them up. She demanded I show her everything I just picked up. She didn't ask the other person who waited on me to see if she gave me the watches (4 minutes prior). Finally she looked in the back and brought out my watches, no apology for her mistake. I sent them an email asking to be repaid for the diamond band and no response from them. They still owe me over $200. Do not ask them to do custom work!! They also stretched a gold wedding band (jeweler told me they did have a machine to stretch rings) that messed up engraving. I was very clear I wanted to preserve engraving.
