You can do gigantic loads here and pay the average prices for Anchorage. Definitely recommend using the spinner for anything heavy like towels and blankets to remove excess water and minimize wasting money in the dryer.

It was neat to just use an app and add money/time to your wash load that way. I had movies and books on my phone, brought my headphones, and did my own thing while waiting for the laundry to finish. The laundry took about 100 minutes total, since I needed a little extra time for something to dry. I'm not complaining, I'm just happy to find a clean laundromat with all of the machines working.

Which means if you have the misfortune of dropping your wet laundry on the floor, God knows what gross thing you will be picking up. NOT reassuring in a place that depends of functioning drains for their business. - second, when I took my clothes out of the washer, there was other people's head and body (likely pubes, WTF!!!!) stuck to my clothes - strike three, and this is the part that nailed the coffin shut for me- my clothes came out of the dryer smelling worse than when I put them in. Whomever had used the hot dryer that is intended for cotton items prior to me, put something that left a distinct chemical smell. The smell is REALLY BAD. Enough that I now have a headache from riding in the car home with them. I'm definitely going to have to rewash my stuff, and waste more money ANOTHER day off. The laundry attendant was watching TV the entire time we were here. She clearly isn't monitoring the machines for cleanliness. Whatever it was that was in the dryer left stains on some of my stuff, most noticeably my sheets. I want my money back. @#$%&!!!

A worker was there to kindly hold the door open for me and offer to exchange me quarters when he could hear the machine rejecting some of my bills. I appreciated that. Prices were average - Washers $3, dryers .25/4min. I was there early so I was mostly alone like I prefer, but it's a decently sized laundromat with lots of machines. The second to the last dryer nearest the restroom stayed cold. At .25/4min it wasn't a huge loss for me. I do recommend this laundromat (with dry cleaning offered on the other side).

I arrived around 10am, super friendly check in service and was quoted 5-6 hours to come back. My item ended up being ready in 2.5 hours, but mostly what I appreciated was the text message responses. I received a text message when I dropped my item off, with the ticket number and expected pick up time, and I received a text message when my item was ready with the ticket number. As someone who gets an obnoxious amount of spam calls, to the point I don't answer unknown numbers, I greatly appreciated the text messages about my item.

The Vitus Laundromat prices are better than "the laundry basket" in Eagle River for double/triple…read moreload washers. Facility is cleaner, but there are less washers/dryers so it gets crowded with people waiting. However, with the extraction speed of the washers the drying time was lower so I spent less time there. Overall I would rather drive a few extra minutes for the savings and a better quality facility.
