Held a friends Christmas shindig here with about 15 people in the largest room. I paid a 50$ deposit up front and 270 for 2 hours - the front desk person forgot to give me back a deposit so I had to go inside and ask, I almost completely forgot. They should have asked about it up front and took it off the room price. They have a YouTube so you could find your own karaoke versions of songs, but you're basically navigating the computer version so it can be kind of slow. The actual song choices were pretty limited. I was surprised at how little songs they had and how non-user-friendly the karaoke program was Rooms were nice but there was a huge hole in the floor that was covered by a chair in the middle of the room, it was obvious. You can bring your own food and alcohol basically, they didn't mind - that part was great. read more

This place exceeded my expectations. Celebrated my birthday here with a big group of friends. I called for a reservation and sent over a deposit. They add a 20% service fee. You pay for the room by the hour and the rate depends on the size of the room. I had a group of 17 and we were placed in a big room that was space themed. There was plenty of seating around the room and a huge table in the middle. You're allowed to bring food and drinks which is a HUUGGEEE plus. It looked like they also sold snacks and drinks. The karaoke system that they had was nice because you could use YouTube. Def a nice option so you can sing more current songs. Casual karaoke spot in the Sunset. Booked ahead of time in one of their themed rooms. We got the Supreme room which is decked out in Supreme decor and vibes. One of the biggest draws is that they let you bring your own food and drink with a minor upcharge, which is actually really incredible. Literally bring as much of whatever you want and, if you're missing anything, they do have a small market of items available for sale. Music selection was okay. I wasn't a fan of their karaoke search engine, the interface, and the selection of songs (there was a lot I felt like was missing) but Youtube is also synced to it so you can easily pull up lyrics videos. This did make the experience more enjoyable as we could then find any song and it integrated right into the system. Perfect for a small or large group to just chill and have a good time. read more

Had a great time celebrating a friends birthday here! She had booked a room for about 15 of us on a Saturday, and it was a really fun experience. You're able to choose songs via an iPad on the wall, we mainly used YouTube and karaoke versions. We were given 2 mics, and the disco lights in the room were perfect to set the party mood. They were also able to bring in outside food and drink, so we snacked while we sang and it was definitely a vibe. Parking in this area can be tricky, but luckily when we went there was street parking available. I'd definitely recommend this place! read more

Super fun and cheap Karaoke! The staff were super nice and welcoming. The small room we booked was so cute! Very clean and cozy. It was perfect for the 3 of us. I love that they have the traditional system and also Youtube if you couldn't find the song you wanted; which was so nice and we really enjoyed having that option. If you just want a fun room (SUPER CUTE themes) where you can sing with some friends, this is a good spot. No other notable bells and whistles that we could find. Our new favorite Karaoke spot!! I've read mixed reviews about K-Time Karaoke. We tried it for ourselves and I wish we had gone here sooner. This review takes account of a party of 2. I am not sure how it works for bigger parties. Summary: Price: $49 an hour + tax +15% service fee (We did 1 hour and paid $60) Ambiance: 10/10 Quality of supplies: 10/10 Music selection: 10/10 Cleanliness: 8/10 (Both the room and bathrooms) Service: 10/10 Parking: 3/10 Food/Drinks: N/A AMBIANCE: 10/10 This has been one of the most aesthetic karaoke spots I've been to. I've been to dingy karaoke spots in Japantown before and have paid around the same price as K-Time Karaoke. They chose the room for us and it was a Doraemon theme. I think it depends on the size of your party. In terms of requesting to pick, I'm not sure but we didn't care what room we got. I saw there was a KAWS theme which was cool. Even the cash register was all decked out with a cute color-changing music note. Every single item in this place had a lot of details. Even the doors to enter the karaoke rooms to the microphone holders. I also loved the colorful disco lights. QUALITY: 10/10 BEST microphones I have ever used at a Karaoke spot. The microphones were so sturdy and heavy. The microphones were placed on glass stands which I thought was so fancy and smart. The couches were so plush and had cute gemstones on them. The quality of sound was spot on and clear. MUSIC SELECTION: 10/10 The songs here are unlimited due to the power of the YouTube option they provide. They have songs but they, as well as I, recommend you use the YouTube option. Any song you can think of, no matter the language, you will for the most part find it. CLEANLINESS: 8/10 I appreciate that they provide disposable microphone covers. The rooms were clean. The bathroom was decently clean. Not spotless but not horrid as well. SERVICE: 10/10 The man at the register was very nice both on the phone and in person. He was very informative before we started our time. Both him and his colleague greeted us as we left. PARKING: 3/10 K-Time is at the corner of 19th Avenue and Taraval, the metro and bus stops, and the residential area. Parking is not the best out here whatsoever, so maybe Uber unless you don't mind parking far. Food/Drinks: N/A We did not buy drinks or food but they do sell cold drinks. My friends and I had planned to go to this spot after one of them previously had a good experience. We had called ahead of time to secure a 6:30 to 8:30 spot on a Tuesday. Upon arrival the lights inside the building were off and there were around 8-10 people waiting outside as well. We looked on Google to see what time they opened and it said 7:30, which didn't make sense when on their website they claim they open at 6:30. We arrived at 6:30 and waited until 7:45 and there was no sign of life inside. We left sad and disappointed after having to plan this outing ahead of time. Not sure I'd try coming again:/ read more

I made a reservation through the phone for a Friday at 7pm which is the time they open. I got there a little bit early since they told me to get there on time since it can get busy on Fridays and weekends so I got there at 6:50 and the door was still locked which makes sense since it wasn't 7pm yet. My wife and I walked around outside for a bit then came back at 7pm exact and then the door was still locked. I saw there was a girl at the counter but she was just on her phone and did not seem to notice that I was at the door. I ended up waiting for 7 minutes for them to open the door but no one came so I called them even though I was literally standing right outside there. They didn't pick up the phone and I called again and some guy picked up and I asked if they opened at 7pm and they said they did so I told them the door was locked. They then proceeded to tell the girl to open the door to which they finally did so we got inside at like 7:08pm. The girl checked us in and had me sign a waiver pretty much saying that they're going to charge a 15% service fee onto the bill which I had 2 issues with but I signed it anyway because my wife and I made the drive out from Concord and still wanted to do karaoke. First, why charge an immediate 15% service fee for a party of 2 before even getting serviced? We're literally 2 people and didn't leave a mess in the room when we left. Second, as of July 1, 2024, a new California law, SB 478, prohibit businesses from adding automatic service charges onto consumer bills. Seems like they need to update this practice of immediately adding a 15% service charge unless they're using the waiver as a means to protect themselves from the new law which I think is a bit scummy/shady from a business perspective. She also asked if I tried to open the door earlier and I told her that I tried opening it twice but it was locked. Like, didn't she just unlock it for me??? Anyways I signed it cuz we still wanted to have a good time. The last part that threw me off at check-in was that they needed to hold onto my I.D. until our room time was up, so that means they held onto my I.D. for an hour which I was not comfortable with. I'm not sure why they would need that and no other karaoke places have ever required me to leave my I.D. as a deposit of some sort so again, another kinda shady practice since there's no point of holding the I.D. The girl brought us to one of the karaoke rooms and quickly explained how the tablet and picking songs worked which was fairly straightforward. When she left, I went to use the bathroom, and keep in mind, my wife and I were the first party to enter for this night into the venue. The bathroom was pretty dirty, didn't have toilet seat covers, had graffiti on the wall, and there was no hand soap either. My wife used the bathroom after me and also agreed that the bathroom was pretty nasty. Pretty strange it was dirty already being that the place just opened for the night. I asked the girl at the counter and asked if we could get water and she pointed at the fridge in front of the counter and told me I can take one. I asked if it's free and she said no it's $2 and then proceeded to ask me if i wanted room temp water which I said that's fine. But then she was about to grab a water bottle off the floor and I asked is that $2 also and she said yes so I just opted for the cold water. Pretty strange they have no free water option because every karaoke venue that I've been to usually just comes with water for free. I think that's it for the service, now onto the karaoke part lmao. My wife and I actually had a great time in the room. The tablet was easy to use and had a big selection songs and even had kpop like New Jeans there and also Japanese songs. Note that there's no Filipino songs in case you're wondering. The room was nicely decorated and I saw a glimpse at the other rooms which looked nice too. The only issue with the room is that the disco light ball made a very loud whirring sound so I debated on turning it off but we didn't want to sit in complete darkness and we also didn't wanna do karaoke with the lights on because let's be real who does that? lol. Kinda wish the tablet was also mobile but it's just attached to the wall so you kinda have to awkwardly just stand facing the wall while queuing music. Lastly, there was a sign at the counter saying that if you rate them 5 stars, they'll give you a free drink like a soda or water or something so keep on mind that some of these 5 star reviews are probably fake because people want free drinks. TLDR; overall this might be the worst karaoke place I've been to so far. The room was $49, no free water, automatic 15% service charge, dirty bathroom, didn't open on time, held my I.D. for some reason, and a very loud disco ball. Bill came out to be like $63 for 1 hour. Only giving 2 stars because the song selection was good and my wife and I were still able to make the best of it and have a good time. read more

Went here for a birthday. This karaoke spot has a good selection of music that have the classic staples ranging from 80s-00s. There's a few modern ones too. Service was fine - we just got set up and they left us alone for the rest of the night. I honestly can't remember the food policy because we pregamed and got even more hammered. We also had a kid there too so kids welcome too. Price is affordable and ambience is on the nicer end compared to others and especially cheaper than the ones deeper in the City read more

My group of 4 were able to get a room the same day, we came here after another karaoke place we tried to go to couldn't take us in until 3 hours later. It is on the pricier side, our room was $49 per hour. We did 2 hours and had a fun time! When we were brought to our room, the staff member showed us how to look up songs. He suggested that it's better to search up artists by their initials. It looks like it's sourced by YouTube. It was hard to find certain artists, but eventually my friend figured it out and we were able to add songs seamlessly. We weren't offered any food menus nor did I see any pricing for alcoholic drinks. I had to go up and ask for a $13 bottle of soju. I'd come back again, our room was nice but at the price point I would suggest looking elsewhere if you're trying to budget. read more

Booking a reservation at this place was straightforward, which was a plus. However, I had a few issues with the deposit process. The deposit has to be made through Venmo or Zelle, which felt a bit sketchy. I sent my deposit via Venmo and confirmed receipt with them twice on separate occasions, both times receiving confirmation that they had received it. Yet, on the day of the reservation, I received a text saying they hadn't received my deposit. After sending a screenshot of the transaction, they eventually acknowledged it. On the day of, I tried to push back my reservation time and was told by a lady on the phone that she would call me back to try to move things around with the other reservations, but she never did. Instead, I received a call a minute later from someone else asking if I was still coming. I explained that I had just spoken to someone and assumed they were handling it. It turned out I had spoken to the general reservation line, while the call was coming from the actual establishment, which was important because there are three different locations. This miscommunication cost us an hour of our reservation time because I was waiting around for a callback... On the bright side, I was satisfied with the room and appreciated that we could bring our own drinks as outdoor food and drinks are allowed. We wanted to purchase food on-site, but the only option available was chicken wings which we ordered. The karaoke system had a few glitches but was overall updated and offered a wide selection of songs. The availability of YouTube was a nice touch. One key point to note: they answer the phones but not emails, so calling is definitely the best way to get ahold of them. Despite the issues with customer service and communication, I would consider coming here again if improvements are made in these areas. read more
