This place is very nice. It's a new hotel and everything is as you would expect, new. The only reason It didn't get full stars was the inexperienced reception staff; her name was Roxana (good thing for those name tags). Check in and check out was a frustrating disaster. I'm a pretty patient person, but the processing time here is ridiculous! Roxana seemed to be new to everything. She kept redoing everything over and over; and making many mistakes. She kept recalculating the most basic math, I just wanted to grab her calculator and throw it across the room! She kept asking her coworkers what to do next. She couldn't even write a recite without help. It was a basic check in/out, nothing complicated. It took 26 minutes to check out and over 30 minutes to check in. I've never signed so many forms in my life! Then she even called my room to make me come back downstairs to resign one of the forms. She said the "upper staff" was going to get upset if she didn't get the proper signatures. The bell boys were innocently inexperienced because they were young and just learning, but Roxana is old enough and should not act like a know-it-all, when that couldn't be further from the truth. It was to the point where I actually felt embarrassed FOR HER... Looks like they spent all there money on the building and had little left to hire decent staff.. I wanted to use the roof top pool, but it looked as if it was just for show; I didn't see anyone in there and felt awkward stripping down and dipping into the Pool with all those fully dressed people at the bar dressed in suits and full on formal gear. In all fairness, It's a classy atmosphere and I had a good nights sleep in the comfy bed. The shower needs better water pressure or the option of a wall mounted sprayer; it kind of drizzles on you from the ceiling with no pressure, just gravity. There was also no place to put anything down, like a soap tray or shelf, I kind of chuckled everything in my hand like a circus clown with no place to put the shampoo and soap. The parking is chaotic because they share parking with the preexisting hotel Lucerna, so cars were stacking up and double parking everywhere. Hopefully they learn the computer system and become more efficient with time. They put a lot of thinking into the architecture and decor, but the rookie staff takes away from that. read more
