Went there last week with my husband, my son and his girlfriend. When we walked in we were very kindly instructed to make accounts on the iPad's provided to go on the karts. The track staff made sure we were safe and secure they were very funny made us feel comfortable. There was a lot of young staff but regardless they were very attentive and their managers Katrina was there to answer any questions we had. There is also a bowling alley was very fun the girls were very nice, they got us onto a lane very quickly, the shoes run true to size, you can call the restaurant staff and they will quickly bring your food to you. Now that my son is old enough to drive in the kid section on his own we decided to give this place a try. Parking is easy as they have a large parking lot. Once you walk in there is a desk to the left. Before you go there look to your right and find the ipads to create an account and sign the waiver. You can also buy your time before you head to Grand Prix. We just walked in and took our chances. Then walk to the left and you can buy your driving rounds. It was super busy today. We were lucky enough to get two sessions today. We then walked to tje briefing room. The briefing video was informative. Jerry in the gear area was amazing. He helped my son with his suit and was there when he needed to chose the right helmet. Jerry was fantastic. After my son was done he changed and we all played arcade style interactive games. We had a blast. I loved all the games and can not wait to return. Oh yeah my son liked the games as well. Lol read more

Now that Autobahn is open in the Palisades Mall, I go there much more often. However, this place was the one that got me started on go-karts. I was only 13 years old and I took a lesson to drive on the "Uptown" track. That was one of the best experiences I have ever had. I have ALOT of experience with Grand Prix- most of it mediocre (SUPER expensive, poor quality food, indifferent staff) but lately its gotten so much worse. The front desk staff, mostly teens, do not treat their customers with respect, are rude, and provide misinformation over the phone. On multiple occasions staff members have been unnecessarily rude and intimidating to my kids, to the point that a senior manager even admitted to me that they were in the wrong. The other managers that I have spoken to don't really care. They really are all about the money and will say and do anything to get as much of it from your wallet as possible. It's such a shame, there are so few places for kids to go and have this kind of fun in a controlled environment. They should really overhaul the way they hire and train staff, from top to bottom. read more

Moved up north and trying to experience everything up here and I am enjoying all of it so far. We had a complete day. I did everything but jump on the bounce castle. Positives - The karts are serious business! They can move and I now have a new appreciation for the skill/discipline of professional race car drivers. - Bowling: think a smaller version of Bowlmor, but also less expensive. - Video Games are all racing and shooting themed. Perfect! - Food was good. Staff and timing were just fine despite what I am reading below and it was PACKED. - Exceptionally clean Negatives - I have none, but I could see some merit in some of the below complaints if they were in a vacuum. This is a place that provides food, drinks, video games, kid bounce castles, a goddamn race car track, and a bowling alley. The complaints seem to be the type of complaints that you would see at single-event venues, not a full multi-feature facility like this one. Thoroughly enjoyed it. All the arcade games worked. The "tickets" you win are added to your card so you are not carrying 37 rows of tickets & the workers are not counting 37 rows of tickets. The burgers and fries in the bowling area were really tasty & fresh. The whole place was very clean. I was shocked that it was 4 years old, I assumed it opened in 2015 because everything worked and was so new looking. PRE-RACE: There are very few go-karting selections for New Yorkers. So the go-karting experience is the ONLY reason to go this place. There is absolutely ZERO sense of customer service as others have mentioned. The receptionist was very distant, and made it seem like she was bothered every time we asked a question. There is little direction given to you about what to do or where to go. So you wander about aimlessly for a while. We had an hour and 30 minutes to kill before our race, so we decided to get something to eat at the restaurant. We waited over an hour for fries and wings! Fries and wings an hour? So needless to say by the time our food arrived we had to rush to eat so we wouldn't miss our race. The food was pretty good, but it wasn't an hour's worth of waiting good. RACE: The race was fun. We did the Supertrack race which was like a 15 minute race combining both tracks into one. The karts seemed well maintained and the tracks were nice, enclosed and clean. SInce we were the last group for the evening everything seemed kind of rushed. The employees were rushing us to get into the karts. Rushing get us out the karts, rushing to collect our scores (which they mixed up by putting 3 people in the wrong cars so the lap times were off. ) They even began turning the lights out on us, which was considerably rude. I understand the employees want to go home, but they should understand that regardless of if it's the first race of the day or the last race of the day every customer paid money to enjoy their experience. If they want to leave earlier then the company should schedule the last race at an earlier time and then give the employees an allotted time to clean up and then leave. But don't rush me because you want to go home. PRICE: It is kind of pricey so if you get a groupon it's worth it. If you plan on going more than once you're probably better off just buying an annual membership as it's 50 dollars with a free race when you sign up and a free race on your birthday, vs paying 10.00 membership fee each time you go in addition to 25.00 a race. It's also fun if you go with a group of 4 or more people so you guys can race each other, It's more fun racing people you know opposed to total strangers (some of whom are professional go-karters and obnoxiously aggressive on the race track). ALL in ALL: The adrenaline rush and the fun you have from the race makes the experience worth it. But don't expect much from anything or anyone else. The only other time I've driven a "go-kart" was in Scotland 4 years ago - while pregnant. My husband and I went yesterday to Grand Prix NY for his birthday and had a blast! We hadn't planned it so although I was wearing a dress, it was no problem because they supply jumpsuits. The Briefing Room answered all my questions in the video. I had read about Grand Prix NY on Groupon a while back but didn't think it was worth the drive from the city or the price - I was WRONG! I wish I had bought the Groupon. It was a quick drive from the city and worth every penny. They were polite, knowledgeable and friendly. We will likely go back and get something to eat afterwards since we had planned to go elsewhere for dinner this time. There was a guy there with his two tween/teenager daughters. He didn't drive, but they did - they've done this a few times. I can see us getting some friends together and going as a group sometime soon or bringing some kids to play in the giant bouncy house. This place is awesome!! My son turned 11 and we rented a track for 10 of his friends. They got to wear jumpsuits that make it look really official. The kids are still talking about it. One Dad said to me how do you top this party. Now all the kids will want to have a party here!! The track Marshalls (Flack and Jerry) were great and very helpful to all the kids. Laurel was also a great host/caterer. She was very eager to help. I ordered extra food and it was presented on a really nice platter. There is also a amazing arcade, bowling and art garage. We were told ten minutes to wait for a lane. We went back and were told twenty and so we went to play some games and came back and were told we weren't on the list. So thirty minutes later I paid $35 for half hour. We bowled almost one game and the board shut off! My son couldn't bowl his last frame. We asked if they would turn it on so he could finish and I was told no!! $35 for thirty minutes and fifty for a game card and we can't even finish. This place is expensive and it sucks. Never going again unless there is a party. I always used to think you get what you pay for. Not in Mt Kisco. There you pay to be Mt Kisco and no one has any class. read more

This place is very poorly managed - at least for the karting portion of it. I tried to do a couple of their special racing events (i believe they called it some sort of endurance race) and the managers didn't seem to care about making it a fair and fun event - they were more worried about getting us out on time. If you're going to charge someone more than $100 for an event, you better take the time to make it fair. I love karting - and the place has such promise. I go to GPNY regularly for the karts and I absolutely love them. Sometimes there are a bunch of people there...but if you call or book ahead, no worries. I understand that sometimes people get pissed about ride-and-drive times being booked, but if you call ahead (like any restaurant) you can schedule time. Not a big deal. (also, if you go on the weekends, you definitely need to book because of the kids. Again, no biggie) After last weekdays race, me and a few friends wanted to get some finger-foods and the kitchen was closed...but they opened it up for us. (which was very cool) I thought the staff was great, racing amazing, (I dont play he video games) but the over all experience was exactly what I paid for. Not sure why some people are freakin out. Because I'm so competitive, my one concern is that the carts are not always the same speed. Sometimes they vary quite a bit from one another. It does test the skills of the driver a lot...which can make it fun, but I would love if they were all exactly the same speed and handling. (I know i know...that's not realistic, but I love racing karts!) Overall, great experience. Just CALL AHEAD or BOOK ONLINE. 90% of the problems solved on this yelp page. Prices are to be expected, cant complain so if you're looking for a good track and hopefully a good kart, this is the place. I was so pleased with the venue and party. My son (now 6), had his 6th birthday party at Grand Prix. There are a ton of options to select. We did racing and the arcade. We had some challenges along the way (weather related only). We had to cancel our party and reschedule due to the giant snow storm. Not only did Anthony work with us on the dates and scheduling, he was extremely responsive and helpful. He made great suggestions and we quickly rescheduled our part for the following weekend. The Party - 30 minutes of drive time for about 10 kids. First - we suited up in the cool racing gear they provided. That was great, the suit, the helmet - NOW THE CARS.... We had a bunch of 5 and 6 year olds at the party so some had to ride with a parent in one of their 2-seater cars. It was pretty awesome. Isaac was working with us on the track. I adored him. He was just amazing and great with the young kids. After racing we cut the cake in the pavilion and sang happy birthday before the kids ran off to the arcade to use their arcade card that we purchased as part of the package. It was fantastic! It was a total hit. We had a great experience and couldn't have been happier with the team and the party. Thank you for making the party so special! That was the best one yet!!!! From the minute we all walked in the door there was a strange "aura" to this place.....almost like a "conspiracy" if that makes any sense? And that is if you get them to even notice you as they are engrossed in conversation with each other or texting on their phones! Ok that's just for starters.....in fact ALL the staff (very immature) are extremely unattentive and act as if they could care less whether you are there or not! Very unprofessional to put it lightly? No wonder the place is always empty! Aside from the rude service, theiir prices are plain ridiculous, the food is Inedibe and I mean YOU CAN'T EAT IT!! Who is running this place?? I need to know? Are they really that clueless?? The saving grace here is the modern atmosphere.....I can tell you this is the ONE AND ONLY reason anyone would go there. Someone better wake up and see what is going on or they will surely go under.....fast! No one has the patience to deal with this kind of treatment nevermind pay a FORTUNE for it! This review is for restaurant Fuel inside Grand Prix. Worst meal I've had in my life hands down. Burnt, inedible chicken fingers, nachos that were disgusting. Like eating paper. On menu said they had olives, guacamole, scallions, olives, jalapeños, queso, salsa etc. It was stale chips with cheese on them and a side of salsa and sour cream. A joke. Had no BBQ chicken left and the BBQ they did have was laughable. Mystery meat brisket, sheets of fat covered in inches of BBQ sauce. The ribs tastes like a dirty meat smoker. The icing on cake was when they brought change from our bill and decided to short change us the cents that we were owed. It was only 40cents but seriously?! It's the principle and balls of doing that. I've never experienced service or meal or like that in my life. read more

Such a disappointing experience for my kids. After calling and getting no answer, we drive 30 minutes to enjoy some afternoon car racing. Upon arrival we learn the earliest kids can ride in at 5 pm. (It was 2). Then they squeeze in my kids and I pay $45. It was a 6 minutes experience full stop! No disclosure from anyone that the ride was only 6 minutes. The whole experience was awful. Katrina at the front desk and Mike Poe the track manager in particular helped make my sons birthday party go off without a hitch despite my own mistakes making the track reservations. I found a Groupon and took my girlfriend on a date to Grand Prix NY to try something more adventurous. Thanks to Wing T.'s review posted on 02/05/13, I called to confirm the Arrive & Drive time for a Tuesday night, which was 3-4:30PM despite what the website says, otherwise we would've also driven 40 mins. for nothing. Track suits were not required but a head sock, helmet, and neck brace always are. She and I raced twice on the Uptown track by ourselves because it was the only track available and because nobody else was there. If you've consumed any alcohol that day, you can't race so don't go to the bar prior to racing. The Groupon gave each of us a 20 credit game card, which we used after we raced. It went pretty fast, but there was a good selection of games. All of this took about an hour. I wouldn't recommend Grand Prix NY unless you have a Groupon AND a group of friends to go with. Always call first! read more

Worth the 20 mile drive from CT. Staff is great, helpful, kind. The go karts are fantastic. We did 30 laps, not one broke down. I've been to multiple places where the kart has gone down within 1-3 laps. If you've never gone here, man, you're in for a treat. Parking lot is huge. Always a spot. Really cool lookin' place. The karts go pretty fast. The ones that me and my son went on we're 40 mph tops. They have go karts for most ages. They have average prices for the arcade and bowling. But surprisingly the go karts are cheaper than anything in Connecticut, I'm not sure about New York, any ways, go karts are cheap. Building is huge, with a restaurant that has good food. Bowling lane is pretty cool. Didn't go bowling, but checked it out. They make you watch a 10 minute video, which explains the flags and what to do when they present them. Always a great place to go on a weekend. Nice location, good food. Great place for a thrill. read more

I came here on a Sunday afternoon for some bowling with my kids. After bowling we ate dinner. I was expecting typical amusement center food but was pleasantly surprised. The Thai Chili wings were extremely flavorful, had a nice crispy skin and moist chicken. I wish we ordered 12 instead of 6. The pretzel stuffed with cheddar came out really hot and it included a cup of cheese sauce. It's probably hard for anything to be bad when it's smothered in cheese sauce and this was no exception. My kids both ordered medium rare cheeseburgers...and to our surprise they came out medium rare. The burgers were juicy, had a nice sear on the outside, had substantial buns, and were definitely "Instagram worthy".... although I don't have Instagram. The french fries were also great. They were cut a little thicker, had a crispy exterior and creamy potato interior. My Korean fried chicken tacos were also good. The tortillas were fresh and the spicy flavor was great. My one suggestion is to have more slaw on each taco. The tacos came with chips and salsa. No complaints with the chips and salsa either. Our server was also the bartender. Nice enough guy, attentive but not intrusive. Overall my kids and I agreed we would order everything we ate again when we returned...and that rarely happens. read more

WOW! What a great night we had at Grand Prix on Saturday. There were 10 adults and 13 kids (ranging from 7 to 15 years old). We were having a reunion of sorts and the spot was perfect for socializing and catching up with old friends. We all had a blast first bowling and eating and drinking. The food was excellent (pizza, nachos, chicken fingers, fries) - both adults and kids devoured everything....and the adults especially liked the beer tower/mini-keg. The kids who didn't want to bowl made a bee-line for the race track, but eventually almost all of the kids had a few spins around the track...and loved it! My 8 year old son is now officially addicted to it and is planning his 9th birthday party for there! After the bowling and the racing the kids then hit the arcade, which kept them sufficiently occupied while the adults talked and finished the beer tower. There was so much to do for everyone that we are already planning our next visit. You should really check it out! read more

Fantastic venue and service planned and provided by Laura Palmeiro at GPNY! My sons had joint birthday parties at this fantastic venue! The event was planned extremely well and I was kept up to date on all the options and logistics. The party itself consisted of an hours worth of Track time under Mike Poe's expert instruction and he also got a pure novice racing in no time. Then food, followed by a good amount of Arcade time. The staff were really wonderful in providing an experience that will be remembered for life. The food and party room were absolutely stunning and there was plenty to go around. I must thank the catering staff for providing such a nice menu and would thoroughly recommend GPNY for any event. We have driven there in the past and love it!
