The indoor go karts are great, but that is the best of it. $60 for 3 races is pretty expensive, although they are 12 laps each. The arcade isn't that good and they don't offer much of anything else. This place could use a larger arcade area, a snack bar (the one they have is lacking. I don't even know if it had food), and something for the adults to do while kids play. Maybe darts? K1 Speed: Inaccurate Height Sign -- We Have the Photos to Prove It I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but what happened at K1 Speed warrants a warning for other families -- and we have photographic proof. K1 Speed's posted minimum height for Junior racing is 48". My son is exactly 48". We made the trip specifically because he qualifies. What we discovered on arrival is that K1 Speed's own height measurement sign is wrong by 2 inches. We brought a tape measure and documented it on the spot. In our photos, you can clearly see that the line labeled "48"" on their sign actually sits at the 50" mark on a standard tape measure. Their sign has been mounted or printed incorrectly -- meaning children who are a legitimate 48" are being turned away based on a miscalibrated sign. My son sat in the kart. He could reach the pedals. There was no functional or safety reason to exclude him. Yet staff still refused to let him race, citing the sign -- the very sign we had just proven was inaccurate. We showed staff the photos. No resolution. No apology. No willingness to escalate or problem-solve. The staff was very nice, but unfortunately unable to help. K1 Speed, this is not a minor mix-up. Families are planning trips around your stated requirements, and your measurement tool is provably wrong. Fix the sign, and train your staff to handle situations where your own equipment is at fault. Awful Place! My family and I were on our annual family vacation and were super stoked to try out K1 Speed. Started off fun and we had no problems until one of their employees (Si) grabbed the controller to the carts and was stopping carts on purpose. When I went to address him he called me a "nigga". When I told him I didn't appreciate him calling me that he told me "you're gonna have to talk to god about that one before I send you there myself". Instead of engaging anymore with him I got off the track and went to talk to the manager. As we were getting everything sorted, my sister told Si that she didn't appreciate him talking to our family that way. He turned around and yelled "I don't know who you think you're talking to you little bitch". Mind you, there were other families in attendance that witnessed all of this. According to the manager Si was let go for the night and will be meeting with the owner/manager. The manager we spoke to handled the situation the best he could and pulled Si immediately off the track and took him to the back to have a conversation. He also said that that was not the way that facility was ran and Si's behavior was unacceptable. I was refunded my money and he invited me to come back the following day to check back in on the situation. Long story short, it was a true blow for my family and I to experience this as it was meant to be a night full of laughter and memories. We will not be back and hope this is sorted out so more families do not experience this. read more

Poorly managed establishment. Someone is going to get seriously injured due to the staffed negligence. My husband and myself were slammed into several times, so hard I had to get off the track after the first lap. Clearly stated in the rules was no slamming into or bumping other cars and the staff was allowing it the whole time. Spent $50 a person and I didn't even run the track. Asked for a refund for just my racw since I jumped off after the first lap and was denied. read more

This is real racing. I wasn't sure what to expect because of the tourists location but it is K1 Speed just like the chain that you may see advertised on NASCAR. This location is franchised so this location will not have your previous information from other tracks or locations. Be prepared to sign up not in. Staff was accommodating and adjusted the kart in one lap! They also moved our race up when the children before us were not organized and ready to race that was accommodating, thank you. read more

We did a corporate event for about 35 people at lunch and had a great time. We reserved the place for 3 hours and had an outside caterer. The space worked out beautifully and everyone enjoyed the arcade games and racing on the track. read more

The carts were fast and nice but it's very pricey.. 40-50 bucks for one race that is 12 laps but only the first 2-3 people get to reach 12 laps not everyone in the race. It was a short race so I feel like you don't really get a bang for your buck. If they added more tracks or a system that lets everyone do their full 12 laps than maybe it would be more worth the while. read more

Staff was pleasant but that was the only highlight of the visit. It took over an hour just to check in at the front. We got here right when the doors opened and the line moved at a snails pace. Waited 4 hours for a few of the boys in our group to get in their first race. We paid for the 3 race package and only ended up staying for 2 of them because it took so long. Kids prices were the same as adults, yet they let 3 groups of adults go and then 1 group of kids go. So if you are in a group with kids and adults, adults can go multiple times before your kid goes once. Very inefficient way of doing things. By the end of our 5 hour visit, everyone was cranky and exhausted. On top of that, they charge you a 7.95 "membership fee" per person on top of the already overpriced ride package. To whoever runs the operations here...it's got so much potential to be great. You've got great staff and a nice atmosphere for families to really enjoy themselves. But it was overshadowed with the ridiculously long wait times because of how you prioritize the order of the races. read more

On Wednesday night, June 5, 2024, my grandson called K1 and was told that if we got there by 8:50 pm, he and his brother could ride. I drove for 30 minutes and got there at 8:40. They ran on in while I parked, then came out after 2-3 minutes. They were told the slots were filled and they wouldn't be able to ride. I went in and spoke to the 2 employees. I repeated what he had told them, that they were told they could ride if we were there by 8:50. I got the same response , about the slots filling up. I told them they should have explained that over the phone, bc I certainly wouldn't have driven that far if we had known. So, I guess I can't really give a review about their experience with the cars and track bc they didn't get the chance to try them. read more

Went to this venue to drive the carts. Advertised that they are open even when the weather is bad for outdoor carts. Arrived and saw handwritten sign on the door that they were closed due to the weather. Go figure. Drove almost two hours to drive the carts and they were closed. Not happy, spent too much money in gas and ruined our 4th of July Celebration. More people also saw the sign and were disappointed with the outcome. read more

I would not recommend! We waited 4 hours for our kids to race after being told it would be between an hour to hour and a half. Bathrooms were disgusting. Incredibly overpriced, you do not get your moneys worth at all. The workers are all incredibly rude and do not enforce the rules on the track which resulted in me receiving multiple bruises and whip lash since they did not enforce the no bumping rules with the other racers. Worst experience ever went with my family here on family reunion. 38 of us paid almost 4 thousand dollars only to be escorted out by north Myrtle beach police department because the establishment called them an stated someone in our party was smoking weed wrote on the walls in the female bathroom and threw toilet paper all over. No one said anything to us about anything until the police showed up. Then we asked could we see they said they cleaned it up then we asked where did the strong smell of weed go they changed the subject and said they just wanted us out of there establishment like I said after we had just spent 4thousand dollars and the police had the Audacity to tell us because it was civil they don't do reports for us to take it up in civil court read more
