The electric go-carts are badass. The track is well-maintained and fun. The race results are cool. The helmets are clean and high quality. The staff are knowledgeable and polite. So why only 2 stars? Two words: corporate policy. See, I went here for the first time on my birthday and, part of the reason I came here on my birthday was that I read on the website that you get a free race on your birthday. Well, I didn't read the fine print and when I show up and I'm ready for my free race, I find out I have to sign up and pay regular prices and then when I come back within the week I get my free race. Really? I dunno, man. That feels pretty cheap. No, cheap isn't the right word. Sucky? Lame? No. The word is: corporate. It felt corporate. Some corporate muckety muck with an MBA and no sense of fairness or fun made this policy to make .001% more profit. So you got my $70 (or whatever I paid). Good for you. You also got a 2 star review and I'm never going back. Way to do the math there, Mr. MBA. read more

My son loves this place. The track is fun and he loves to race. Only gave 3 stars because the male staff here lack customer service. Not helpful at all and if you ask them a question they act annoyed. The guy behind the counter today 8/19/23 (1ish) was rude & snarky in tone when paying. BEWARE!!! The plan was to take my son to meet his friend to have 2 races today at 11. We arrived and were told that the location was closed for a private party. I did not see that to be the case anywhere on the website when I purchased the tickets, and was surprised that if that was true that I was able to buy the tickets for a specific time if the location was unavailable to the public at that time. To add to the frustration, the guy who delivered the bad news lacked any sort of compassion or understanding for the time that we took to get there coming from the valley, and instead told us that the races never expire, and they aren't reservations, and that the website said it would be closed, which again, I did not see, and still do not see after the fact. Additionally, now we need to wait for a refund via email correspondence, as he told us we could not come in to get a cash refund or take care of this issue immediately inside. This is terrible customer service, and 1 that is not encouraging for me to return at any time in the future. I was really hoping that this was a random bad experience, but based on other bad reviews I'm now reading, it's not. So frustrating. read more

Poor customer service. I walked in with my son today hoping to ride go-karts while advertised as open. They said they were booked with parties, and were unwilling to make any appointment, waiting list, race schedule...etc. I was expected to show up 3 hours later and try my luck again. It's about a 25 minute drive for me. It's not worth my time for me to drive there with no assurance I'd be able to race. read more

When you show up at K-1 speed at 3PM on a Saturday to have a family day. They tell you, you adults can ride right now but have to come back at 5:30pm for juniors. Mind you they did not say pay now and come back that way your slots are already paid for. All they said was come back for sure 5:30PM and the kids can ride next, so you kill time go to a nearby restaurant come back at 5:10PM and the manager can care less pretty much just said sorry someone paid all the slots for juniors you can wait until 7PM no thank you I'm not waiting another 2 hours so my kids can ride for 10/15mins ..So letting you know people make sure you PAY ahead of time that way you get your slot for sure no one told us ..!!! read more

First time here the employee named Annie was very rude for no apparent reason. I asked her when we could race and she said "in an hour" and I asked "how come" and in a snarky tone she said "ugh cause we're busy". The reason I asked why is because there was only one other group in there when we arrived. Complaint #3: my son won the grand prize from one of the games. The machine glitched and Ricky explained that there wasn't anything he could do. No credit, nothing! Complaint #4: Contacted the corporate office before writing a YELP review. Did not hear back. Complaint #5: When we arrived, we were told it would be over an hour wait because if b-day parties. On the website, it only said: SOLD OUT 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM August 26th and closed for an event. It also says "first come, first served." This was disappointing that the wait was so long and this wasn't explained on that this could happen when I called or I didn't read anything about this specific thing on the website. The employee explained that it isn't their fault but the website is not updated to reflect b-day parties. The manger, Ricky also confirmed that they have no control over the website. It wasn't necessarily the fact we had to wait but more of how the information was communicated by staff. read more

Small children in the adults races slowed everything down, they continuously caused the race to slow and stop when hitting things and other people. One caused the race to stop for about 3-4 minutes while everyone had to sit and wait. read more

We attended a birthday party and while there are a few positives, K1 really needs to address and update their minimum height requirements. The website home page states 48 inches however buried in FAQ it also states that 48 inches does not guarantee that a child will be able to drive. There will also be a Kart check. My son as well as a few other kids that met the minimum height requirement were not allowed to race as the employee determined that the kids could not push the peddles all the way down. Needless to say there were a few disappointed kids and tears were shed. Apparently, when you book a birthday party, corporate does not share this information with you. Only 48 inches is stated. K1 should really update their policy and practice by either increasing the minimum height requirement or updating their home page so that this is clearly and explicitly stated. read more

Came in with my family on a busy Saturday and had a wonderful experience. There was an hour to two hour wait time so we decided to wait for the races and play some games in the arcade and it was well worth it. The staff was very nice and gave us great tips on how to get better around the track. Once we were able to race we had a wonderful experience and decided to do another race after our first one and the staff was able to make it cheaper and have us only pay the difference between the race packages. Will definitely be coming back again and recommend to friends and family. read more

Most staff members were great. Atmosphere was awesome, but the guy with long curly hair working the track was a power hungry kid. Kept stopping the race and acting like he was getting something done when in reality there were only a handful of racers and he was just being rude. Won't be coming back after spending so much money and dealing with someone as rude as him. I recommend MB2 or somewhere that hires people who show some more respect. read more

This is pricey but understand why due to the race experience. If you bring children to race, make sure they are grouped with other similar ages. My 11 year old boys were grouped with two other adults who were racing making my boys slow down part of the time. When the adults finished their 12 laps but my boys only finished 8 laps, they were told they were done. The flag man said that my boys shouldn't been grouped with the adults racing but the manager said that's how it works. Plus there was a party of 10 behind that they wanted to get on the track. This lack of customer service is not surprising for a new location start-up. Perhaps the service gets smarter through these experiences so the customer and especially children don't feel slighted from the experience. read more
