We were a party of 22, and they were able to seat all of us together, which was definitely appreciated. The brunch spread included an omelet station, waffles, fried chicken, chicken sausage, grits and veggies, green salad, fresh fruit, and peach dump cake. They also offer peach and watermelon mimosas made with their own sparkling wine from Ojai and freshly juiced fruit. The live saxophonist was such a nice touch and created the perfect Sunday brunch vibe. After brunch, we stopped by their store, where they sell fresh fruits and vegetables, olive oil, body butters, soaps, and more. They even offer a seasonal fruit and veggie box subscription. You might not realize how huge and dangerous some of these birds really are, but they average about 9 feet to 12 feet tall and from 250 to 350 pounds. And, they can be quite deadly. During the mating season, the males will instantly try to attack you if you get close. They've got about 6 to 10 different ostriches in separate fenced off areas. If you pay a few dollars for a tour, they will walk you down and show you the different ostriches they have, as well as provide some pretty interesting ostrich facts. Their feet are crazy as they are the only two toed bird on earth. Looking at them it is easy to see how they are related to dinosaurs because it looks just like a dinosaur foot. You can also buy ostrich eggs if they have them available, which are equal to about 24 to 36 eggs. The flavor and consistency is actually pretty good as well and very similar to chicken eggs. They also sell honey and a bunch of other things. Also, in certain times of year, you can go and see the baby ostrich chicks that they raise. If you're feeling adventurous, this is definitely worth a trip, especially if you have kids. This has become a fun stop we started making on our annual visit to the California Poppy Preserve in Antelope Valley. I would call ahead and see what's going on with tours and everything else. Brought it home and it has barely absorbed any of the water in our tree base. I've never had a tree drink this little water on the first day. I called them up seeking advice or help and they basically said that these trees have been soaking in water since Thanksgiving so they won't be drinking much anymore. He was acting as if this was some specific circumstance and this is not what they do with their trees every year. I've never had a tree not drink water when we've brought it home. And Frosty's has always had their trees in water. In the end, they were no help at all and basically said I'm on my own. So purchase at your own peril.

As a small chain of garden centers meets plant nurseries I have to say this location stands out. Their online shop is easy also with get learning materials, newsletters , resources and even a plant library. I'll never forget my first trip here with my friend Sam, definitely need to hit her up again for a plant day, but absolutely still enjoy coming here with others and of course solo for some planty self-care. Adding some Elephant Bush (Portulacaria afra) friends to the plant family at home. Absolutely and 818/SFV/LA Valley favorite among many. You'll want to get lost between the many areas the have here and in the main area as well as their extended open air garden on the parking lot side. Staff here is very personable and extremely knowledgeable. From lawn and outdoor patio furniture or fixtures, fountains, decorations and plant care musts, GTN has a bit of it all. We ended up spending less than what we thought we would. Delivery of our plants and trees was also smooth. I called and the nursery was able to have my products delivered first thing in the morning the following day. We had a good experience and will likely return to grab more plants.
