The large dog park field is very patchy. There is some grass and some soil area all around. Towards the back of the dog park, the grass is very dead and long. A couple things I noticed: - People do not pick up after their dogs so there is a lot of poop around (be careful where you step). This was the biggest disappointment for me. - They do offer complimentary poop bags. - The trash can outside the dog park near the parking lot. - There is no water for the dogs unlike most dog parks. You need to bring your own.

There's always a bowl in the park and there is a local water pump to fill it in case you didn't bring water for your dog. There are two sides, small dog side and large dog side. Unfortunately, when you drive by you see a lot of large dogs in the small dog area, but most people will move their dogs over to the large dog area if you walk up with a small dog. It's not very busy so most times you get there there's no one there but sometimes there are a few other dogs to play with. I have met several nice people there and being new to the area. They were all very welcoming. The rules require your dog to be up-to-date on vaccines, friendly, and that you pick up after your pet. They provide bags and trash cans. I have heard a few people say that some people bring unfriendly dogs and they have been warned and that's where a lot of people will not come back because of bad experiences. Luckily, I live very close and I can check it out before I take my dog there. The gravel parking lot is plentiful and there is a small trail that leads down to the water that is accessible next to the dog park. 95% of people pick up after their pets there's the occasional people who don't but usually someone will clean it up when they get there before they let their dogs loose. I feel like some of the aggressive dogs are being brought there just to run out and play ball and they mostly leave when you get there. My little neutered male pug loves to run around and pee everywhere to mark over all the other dog smells. I find it safer than walking my dog around the neighborhood with cars coming in and out. I enjoy this park very much and the people so far that I've met.

I have only been here once when I was the only person with a dog there (Wednesday at 3pm) and shortly someone else came. There are 3 large runs with the ability to fence off your dog if you choose but it mainly stays open. If you don't live in Bel Air, I do not recommend trying to get there around rush hour (5pm) because it took us an extra 30 minutes to get through all the traffic and we were very frustrated when we got there but weekends are easy. There are plenty of waterbowls for your dogs. I usually bring a gallon of water and all the dogs share spit. This is a great place in the community. Adjacent to the dog park is a nice hiking trail you can take your dog on as well. From one end and back, it is over 4 miles.

Please call Concord Township and ask them not to close this really nice park!! This is a very nice dog park with a lot of room for small and large dogs!! It can get a little crowded on the weekends and early evening of weekdays. But if you catch it at an off time, you will have the whole park to yourself. It appears that this was an estate that was left to the township. The two sides, large and small dogs, were both horse paddocks with chicken wire attached to the original wooden fence. The small dog side is almost all grass and the big dog side is almost all mulch. There are lots of bag dispensers, trash cans, and even a water fountain in the warmer months.
