That trainer could not get Mila to walk nicely on a leash or perform commands outside my apartment. I was SUPER hesitant on starting "balanced" training. Even before I committed to doing training sessions with Susie, she spent the time explaining her methods and how she teaches dogs. From the get go, before we even started training, Susie took the time to explain to me in detail what she was doing, why she was doing it, and how to respond to Mila's behavior. After 3 sessions with Susie, the dog that used to ignore me on walks and pay zero mind to me is now listening to my commands on walks and checking in on me when I don't ask for it. The three sessions with Susie have been night and day with Mila's behavior. Susie has been so patient with mine and Mila's learning journey. I was able to learn more about dog training and strengthen my relationship with Mila through this experience. The trainers and other dog owners tend to form a clique and talk down to other dogs on their FB page. How are they surprised that someone took their disobedient dog to Ed Reyes for training? Oh, and his wife only talks to you when she's taking payment for training that only lasted five minutes. I've had better help using YT. He also uses choke collars to "train" the dogs, which I was not going to let him do with mine.

I fear once you leave that isn't the situation for the dog. First they told me my dog would spend little time in the cage. That there were pools he was going to play in. He was going to have so much fun. This was his spa day! We agreed that he was to be scissored trimmed. No buzzer. None of that happened. I picked up my dog, he embraced me like he just came back from a war. Jumped up on both legs and was hugging me. He kept that up for an extended amount of time. Every time he got down he jumped back up. I got him in the car and he was crying, which he never does. So I walked him. He had the runs, something fierce. I found that extremely odd, he hadn't strayed from his diet at home. When he gets back into the car, all the hair they trimmed off started falling all over the place. Like he wasn't combed or blown out after his trim. I went to take a drink of my water bottle and he literally got between me and the bottle. He was extremely thirsty. Which is weird for him, he doesn't drink much. I get him home and he is constantly licking his pee pee and his thigh. I see his thigh is full of razor burn and his pee pee seems inflamed. Remember the part about not using the buzzer on him? Obviously they did. He drinks more water and I notice white foam/drool coming from his mouth. That went on for about an hour. I don't know if he ingested shampoo or something in that shop that caused the foaming and the diarrhea. All day he was lethargic. He has a tracking collar, I can tell every step he takes. I can tell if the collar was off. So the collar stayed on the whole time and it registered 72 steps the whole 4 hours he was there. That bit about playing in the pool, having a bunch of fun, no cage time. That was a complete lie. He was the first one checked in, not sure why he had to stay there for 4 hours. My dog is not used to this type of treatment. No dog should be used to this treatment. I will stick to groomers where I am allowed to keep eyes on him the whole time. Also, this is the first groomers that did not ask me for proof of shots. Which means if they didn't ask me, they aren't asking other people. Which means they can be taking in sick dogs. Very scary!

We have two rescue dogs that each came with their own baggage. As an animal behavorist, Norma was able to take into account their actions and many other factors and over time has helped each of them to become much happier and more socialized pets. Even better, she has helped us to be better owners. Whenever we leave town, we leave both pets with her, fully knowing that they are in the best of hands and that they will have a wonderful time. At Normas, they are not spending most of he day in a cage, but rather they are outside socializing and exercising with other dogs. They bring our baby out and to our shocking surprise, our dogs face was mangled and bloody! THEY DID NOT CALL US TO LET US KNOW SOMETHING HAPPENED!!! We were mortified!!!! Our dog came home visibly distressed, dirty, and in poor health, requiring an immediate visit to the emergency vet! Their excuse was that they left a bucket of water in the kennel with our dog and our dog ripped it up. Okay great but atleast call and TELL US! By the looks of not only her face but the rash all over her body from God knows what, this is not where your baby needs to stay! Trust me!!! $300 bill later, the vet confirmed that our dog had developed infections in her paws and health issues directly related to the unsanitary and unsafe environment at this kennel. This is completely unacceptable for a place claiming to provide professional care for pets. If you care about the health and well-being of your dog, avoid this kennel at all costs!!!! She also has Old Dog Vestibular Disease, and they watched her the whole time because she gets off balance. I'm so grateful to them! They really care, and it shows. After being to the vet and taking the medications, I'm glad to inform that KHLOE IS BACK TO HER OLD SWEET SELF. Meaning: she wasn't sick when she went to get groomed. She got sick 1-2 days after that so bad that we thought we were going to loose her (she's 16). ANOTHER MISTAKE was done and eventhough I tried to get the info from the vet (that I'm not going to mention here, but Khloe will no longer be their patient)... Before grooming, the employee asked me about her shots, which I did not have the info on hand... In front of me, she called (?) the vet who apparently gave her the okay to go ahead with the grooming. Detail: her BORDATELLA had expired on 10/25/25.Which I didn't know and I believe it's required for dogs who socialize with others. She should had denied service right there. At this point, I don't know who's "not telling the thruth". Khloe wasn't seen by her usual vet, but another one who's not listed on their website. When I enquired the vet, they "go around and around" without a "direct response" eventhough "all calls are recorded". I can only get to one conclusion: they're protecting each other. Be careful with who your trust "your babies" with... principally when they're old. We're their voices and it has been proved to me that not always these businesses have their best interest on mind, but that the $$$$ is way more important.
