I've been bringing my dog here for about 10 years, and most of the staff have always been kind and professional. Unfortunately, my experience today was very disappointing. While picking up my dog, I was simply calling my dog's name when one staff member came out, gave me a dirty look, and was very rude. I've noticed this same employee being unprofessional before, but today really stood out. After so many years as a loyal customer, this interaction left a bad impression. This place is really close to home but I hadn't tried it until recently. The Pros: staff is friendly, prices are competitive and the place seems relatively clean. The Cons: the first time I took my cocker spaniel, I asked for them to cut it short and showed a picture, saying to use clippers. My dog's haircut was fine but longer than the photo I showed and scissors were used instead of clippers. The second time I said I wanted it shorter than last time and said it should be the longest length with clippers, no scissors. My dog came back shaved almost bald. I had never seen him like that and he looked like a totally different dog. He normally runs hot but with that cut he was cold for the first couple of weeks lol. I think it's a case of miscommunication. Along the lines of communication, the biggest con is just scheduling an appt. You can't do it online and the instruction is to leave a voicemail; however I only got 1 callback from 3 messages left. The only reason I was able to visit 3 different times is because I kept calling until I caught someone live. There has to be a better way. read more

All the staff are super friendly, and do the best job. We feel happy and safe leaving our dog at K9 Karousel for grooming, knowing he is well taken care of. I've only been there twice, but each time I went looking at customer service was exceptionally grand roof worked with my pet even though my pet can be difficult, I'm very appreciative of the professionalism and the continued care of my pet after an unfortunate incident occurred. This place has been my go-to place for all my dogs needs for the past 6 years: I've brought my pitbull, husky, and dachshund mix here for all their grooming. I also brought my good friends puppy (Australian Labradoodle) here while puppy-sitting, and I mean: come On! She looked so so cute after! I brought my puppy here for the first time and was apprehensive since my puppy's know to be very anxious (she gets it from me). But from the moment they answered the phone, I knew that this was the right place. All of the staff is kind-hearted and treated my puppy with the best care. They even said my puppy "did a great job", which made me feel happy since she came in absolutely frightened. I started taking my dog here when Qualified Pet Dental has their day long dental clinics. I have to make the appointment through K9 Karousel but in past few months it's nearly impossible to get anyone on the phone. Love this place! Took my cat here on Friday to get the works done. My Lucy-Furr got a bath, a shave and some cute soft paws put on.. All for $75, what a deal for how cute she looked! It was busy that morning, great business, people were going in and out. All seemed to be satisfied with their results, like I was. If you're looking for a groomer, this is the place to go. Gizmo is spoiled, babied and has a mind of his own. He won't go to another groomer. He's a shipoo, (shitzu and poodle) and requires a lot of maintenance which can be difficult as i work a full time job where my days off change weekly. Making appointments can be difficult so i normally have ot call in the morning and see if they can take him for the day. They are always patient and friendly and work with me and get him in if they possibly can. They believe in taking care of the animals they work on, not rushing them through so sometimes service does take quite a few hours but gizmo always proudly walks through the door. Never a tantrum or a fit, and he stopped barking at the groomers and other dogs his second visit. Every animal i have seen walk out of this place looks amazing and appears to be happy. As for the service, they listen to you and they pay attention your pets likes and dislikes and keep records. You won't find this level of service at a run of the mill place like a petsmart or a chain store. They know gizmo doesn't like his hair cut to short, and he likes to be fluffy around the face. They always do what they can to make sure he's not upset because he does show signs of depression if too much of his hair is gone. They have never cut him or hurt him and this is the only place i take him anymore. If you want a rush job where your dog looks like everyone else's and is in a pissy mood, by all means, go to your local pet store but if you want your animal to have a terrific day at the groomer with a hairstyle and grooming job tailored to the dogs breed and personality, go here. I learned the hard way.... It really doesn't get any better than this. read more

It's really hard to find a good groomer that does cats. K9 Karousel was conveniently close to home when I lived in Anaheim and was our regular groomer. However, I moved so I had tried a few different places (closer to home) and none of them compared to k9 Karousel. I realized how traumatized she was from the last groomer I took her to when I tried to get her in the cat carrier for her appointment at k9. She saw her carrier and ran the other way, finally got her in, she cried the whole way there and even had an accident on the way over. Dropped her off early am and she was done before noon. When I picked her up she was calm and clean! No more matted fur! K9 Karousel knows how to work with cats, and I will never try to take her anywhere else. I write this review with a heavy heart. I have been taking my dogs to this groomer for ten years, I never had any problems before and I always loved how my dogs looked when they came home. But sadly the last five months I have been bringing my teacup schnauzer to K9 Karousel she has been razor burned so bad that they left divots in her skin. At first I thought maybe my dog was hard to work with, or possibly she moved while they shaved her but I am convinced now that since she has at least seven cuts all over her body that it's something that the groomer is doing themselves. I took me almost two hours to stop the bleeding on her stomach, now I'm dealing with her constantly shacking and worry that she may have a fever/infection. I won't be returning and I hope others are cautious about their pets as well. read more

I cannot tell you how ecstatic I am that I found K-9 Karousel! My vet recommended them and so I thought I would give them a try with my scaredy-doggy. =) My puppy is only 2 and is an Australian Shepherd. His hair grows fast! Needless to say, I wanted to get him shaved because the majority of his hair is on my floor now that it is starting to warm up. I have only had him shaved once before at my previous vet, Katella Animal Clinic, and it was a nightmare! They kept him all day on a weekday, called me right before they closed and said they couldn't keep him still so I would have to come in...and I came in and two $45 anisthetic shots later, my poor dog was (poorly) shaved. I haven't had him shaved since so I was a little nervous when I called to make an appointment with K-9 Karousel, but the lady on the phone said she deals with dogs like mine all the time and that it wouldn't be a problem. I didn't really believe her to begin with because of all the hassle I went through last time I tried to get him shaved but I dropped him off the next morning and was promised that he would be done by noon. I waited by the phone expecting a call similar to my prior experience where they told me they couldn't shave him. Low and behold they called at 11:55am and told me Harley was ready to be picked up! It is a MIRACLE, I tell you! I have found myself a new permanent groomer in K-9 Karousel and I KNOW everybody else who brings their dog there will be just as pleased. =) read more

We have a Sheltie fur baby (Prince Charming) and a very excitable English Springer Spaniel (Daisy Mae). Prince, with all his luscious fur has been a real challenge until I came here! The service is great! They have something called Furminator (A deep clean to remove underlying hair). This is great for your babies that are extremely furry so they don't suffer during the hot summer. I have found my permanent dog groomers! 50 stars if they had such a thing... It was very expensive for both of them and we were never happy with the way they looked since their haircuts seemed very choppy and uneven. I am so happy to write a review for K-9 Karousel. My Cocker Spaniel, Penny, has sort of a double coat and I was never happy with the way she was clipped at the "big box" grooming salons. I think that type of coat takes special attention and boy, do they do that at K-9 Karousel. They consulted with me on what I wanted and offered professional opinions, too, which I appreciated. Penny came out looking just perfect and smelled great to boot! And, let me mention the value! The price was less, YES LESS, than the "big guys".
